《Aurelion》Chapter 4

"That man?" I asked, wandering who could it be that made Kishi want to emphasize it.
"Yea, that man is a...." Kishi was interrupted by a loud sudden boom "Booooom!"
The ground trembled. I shouted "What the hell was that?" "I think it came from that way" Kishi answered calmly and pointed.
There was a hill or two in the direction Kishi pointed. I also spotted another hill, a slightly higher one, west to it. The hill seemed to be a good spot to scout what happened so I told Kishi "Let's go up that hill to see what happened" "Alright" Kishi answered back
Right when we reached the top of the hill, we were invited by another loud boom, this time from the forest between the hill we are on and the hill where the first boom came from. From my extensive training and cultivation, I'm able to bring my focus and basically zoom into something up to 3 miles away. At first glance, I was surprised by the destruction. A huge area of land has been shattered like what you would expect from a mega earthquake, land cracked all around. One thing that told me it wasn't a earthquake was that the trees has been blown southwards, it all looked extremely burned.
I looked carefully and noticed two people at the north edge of the area. There was the demi-human and a person I never met before. That person seemed to have blocked an attack from the demi-human by using his right hand and grabbing the demi-human's fist head on, but still able to stand straight up and totally unscratched. With this, I believe that the blast was caused by the penetrating power of the attack. Suddenly, Kishi told me that he knows that guy standing right there "He is Alduin! The god of this world!"

"What?" I shouted as I turned my head to Kishi for a split second, but the battle was too intense that I basically instantly pulled my attention back to the battle. "Just watch," he said.
Looking at this guy Kishi called Alduin, I can spot that he is holding something like a black orb in his other hand. The demi-human was stuck in mid-air, unable to move as it is caught by Alduin. Alduin looked a little bored, then he raised his left hand that was holding the orb and the orb exploded, with most of its power becoming a forward blast. The blast was so powerful that the world became white and quiet for a split second. At that very moment, I started to imagine what the hell might the land ended up looking like. From something so powerful, I thought that even if I was dropping into a void of nothingness is also possible. After I regain my eyesight and hearing, I noticed that the land was somehow not damaged at all from that blast, except the group of hill where the first boom came from. I focused a little more and manage to make out the details. There was a body there ----- The demi-human, in a huge, absolutely gigantic crater, next to a smaller crater, basically 50x smaller that was already there and should have been the caused of the first boom.
The demi-human didn't looked dead, instead, it even moved it's hand to palm his face and to start to, what I believed, laugh. It stood up and looked at the sky and laughed even harder. I tried my best to make out what it was saying, but if I'm not mistaking, it said "I never thought I will need to awaken my power so quickly."

The thought of the demi-human not using his true power kinda scared me, although if I wanted to, with my fast skills, I might be able to kill, or at least keep back, something much stronger than me as long as I attacked it fast enough that it doesn't have the chance to attack back.
Pulling my attention back to Alduin, I saw him just dusting off his clothes and adjusting his collar. At that moment, for random reasons, I thought about the half-blind Kishi. "Can you even see what is happening?" Kishi answered me with a clear yes and explained "Not technically see, but I know what is happening. That man helped me awaken a sixth sense, the ability to sense vibration in any medium, including the air, ground, or even the atmospheric aura. That's how I noticed you at first too!"
I looked back towards the demi-human. Its body seemed to start accumulating and formed an outer layer of, what should be, plasma. Suddenly, a huge aura came out of its body. "An eagle spirit!" I accidentally said out loud. Kishi must have been too surprised too to hear me. The eagle spirit was about 300 meters tall, and it gave out an intense aura
The aura was so intense that it even suppressed my spirit even though I was a mile away. The demi-human suddenly jumped upwards, and started floating, or should I say, flying. The eagle spirit gave out a squawk and the demi-human flew up even higher. When it finally stopped, it was about 600 meters above Alduin, and right at the edge of my clear vision. Then all a sudden, it dashed downwards at supersonic speeds, covering half the distance in a single second. It was so fast my eyes almost can't keep up. Its speed increased by thousands of times after activating his spirit animal.
And then, it hit Alduin with a boom

Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple

TTWN: The Tale of Will Newbie
This series is inspired by the music of TheFatRat, please take a look if you don't know who he is here. Everyone wants to live in a fantasy world, right up until they have to face dark beings beyond their comprehension. Everyone wants to be a hero, right up until every day becomes a fight for their life. Sixteen-year-old introvert Will Newbie lives in a fantasy world. He's the hero of this story. He has been left with nothing; after a brief adventure in the mountains near his home, he returns to find his entire home missing, every person mysteriously vanishing into thin air. All that's left for him is his rather, "disembodied" older sister and the quest given to him by a rat-turned-god: Gather a team of Champions, fight back against the forces of Sin, and save the world. But if he's learned anything, it's that being a hero isn't as easy as it sounded in the books. So, he'll have to keep himself together, keep his team from tearing each other apart, and figure out just how much he's willing to sacrifice for what he believes in. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! This is my first fully written story, so I want to improve. Positive or negative, I'll take it into account! I will try to update weekly every Friday, but as I'm pretty new to this kinda grind expect some irregularities. The covers are also by moi, done in Pixel Studio. Quite proud of them, really.
