《Abyssmal Downpour》Chapter 5: He came from..

From beginning till the end, his battle with the apes had been one sidedly, in their favor. Karl was thoroughly toyed with by them. After the traumatising plunge to his body followed by stardust breath attack of gorilla only his dead heart and gradually dying brain were left in the crytallized state.
It was a bitter truth that after the war the victor gains ownership of loser's life. Whether he would be dead or alive wasn't a matter under his influence now.
In fact, he wasn’t conscious at all right now, but a silhoutte formed of thoughts that he had valued throughout his life.
What is death? In Karl’s world, it referred to stagnation of one’s mental evolution. Indeed, a very convenient definition for a world ruled by minds. The widely established Pico chips were basically steering wheels for engines, called minds. In that regard, he was still alive now.
Pico-chips were control units of all phenomena's like weather, gravity, temperature, environment preservation and infinite other. About everything was feasible due to pico chips except creation of new life. Pico chips could create or manipulate life using pre-existing life, but the chips couldn't replicate the seen of life first originating from thin air. That was the reason why an organization such as church existed in his world.
Insctinctively his honed mind found this situation reminiscent of a conversation, he had with his elder brother brother last year.
…“.Oh ,it’s autumn again. How is your thesis on Magnum Pico Condensation going Karl ?.If you need any help just let me know. I am currently assisting Professor Razuel on a project daily but if it’s for you I will spare some time”
Cecil ,his elder brother a skyrocketing talent and Karl’s only relative working at DLL medical institute, was showing smile on his face, as he poured tea onto his cup. The two brothers have been through thick and thin together. Initially they weren’t anywhere close to each other, as they were bought up in different environments, but harsh circumstances had bought them closer together as a family.

“Thanks, It's almost completed. I was wondering if I can be of help to brother, with his project. By the way what is it? “
“Oh I am happy that you are curious about it.It is….…..Sentience of...
****
Just as when he was recalling the conversation, he had with his brother earlier he felt a sudden disruption in his memories. The chips in his brain, went on motion.
He felt calmness and a feeling of lost. Oh, what was thinking about again?
How and where was he ?, were the immediate questions that he needed answer. He didn’t have any organs but he could still think, what was supporting his brain ?. He remembered being stuck under the massive gorilla's feet, that excruciating pain was simply unforgettable. Oh if he recalls correctly, he was now crystallized.
"Mfuah-mfuah My liege we should've crushed the bug back there. Keeping him alive in that form will only infuriate Asylum Head Zodius."
"Mfuah, I agree. My liege, Zodius no matter being how much lazy, will eventually catch up to this. If that happens then, we will be slayed along with him."
"Mfuah I don't want to see that wretched beast ever again in my life, My liege please remove the bug"
.
"Silence."
Karl was taken aback by the conversation he just heard now. Firstly how was he able to hear without any ears, secondly who was this "Zodius" these creatures were talking about and thirdly why was the self-proclaimed valiant, considered a bug . But the intense voice just now, temporarily shut even his thoughts off.
"swizzzle"
He felt a massive blow to his brain and tried his best to maintain his consciousness. Then a thundering voice rang out in his head.
"Oh my, you’re awake. You are able to hear my voice, as you are now connected to the Jemstone, like me. Do you remember the fight we had earlier ?"

"!"
He never expected for the beast to be able to communicate with him directly. This was beyond absurd. Also, the fact that the crytal called Jemstone was such a convenient tool, for not only preserving his brain but also serving means communication, was hard to digest.
"Yes…"
"Let me inform you, earlier we were just playing to see your potential. The hundred apes you killed were the degected one's I created using planthonic residual. So don’t even think of doing anything cunning"
" Created ? Planthonic ? What are those?. What do you from me?"
Even though he roughly had the idea of what the other party wanted, but he still continued with inquisition.
"Oh don’t be impatient bug . I will tell you about it one at a time. But first I want to see your memories. So enjoy a good rejuvenation session."
"Don't call me a bug. I am sick of hearing it. And whose memories are you trying to see ? Damn you ape learn some value for privacy"
Karl couldn't help but rebuke gorilla's nonchalent words. Even though he was captive now, he was still a prince of Fenrir bloodline. Thus various secrets of his homeland, were only accessible to him.
Although the "Prince" title didn't matter at all, at Dll institute but it was still treated respectively at Merenota, the capital of Pangean soil continent.
Even if inconspicious information will be leaked with his memories, but still his life was much more important than a few riots back home. Because of these views, he was deemed unsuitable for a king.
He suddenly felt a strong pull, over his psyche like his memories were being ripped out.Left with only a dim brain and few chips, he couldn't do anything to prevent the submissal of his mind.
Simultaneously strong crystal rays emitted from the structure he was stored in. All of his body grew back, in partially crystallized form utilising his bio matter that the apes were holding onto. And with a "badump", his dead heart once again came to life.
While the gorilla ,who was now viewing his life literally without any reservations ,made dumbstruck expression's. Even after the reversibly slow process of recreation of his body finished and it had already seen through all of his memories ,the expression remained stuck to the face.
Karl waited for about 15 minutes before finally losing his temper and blurting out.
"What of it ? Of course, I came from a different dimension "
But after hearing the reply, it was now his turn to make the same dumbfounded expression.
"No boy, you came from the past."

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.
