《The Coin of Fate》Chapter 33 final showdown

"When a God is born, it creates a domain around its image. For example the God of the Growth will have mostly farmers as its followers. Not every farmer will be a devout of the God of the Growth but, their actions, the taking care of the growth, the bringing new life into the World or Plane, will benefit the God of the Growth. A believer will give much more energy to his God but every little thing helps."
-Bee May, the faery of knowledge
"It's actually not so easy being a God."
As Little Wolf's mind was lost in fear, his istincts were not. Little Wolf's eyes started to shine of a blood red light. He watched and waited for the wolf-man to come closer, every second was precious, it was more energy he could recover.
The monstrous wolf came closer, the pup looked like it had given in to terror and given up on life. It stabbed with his clawed paw towards the pup's head.
Little Wolf waited until the last istant, he moved his head to the side a little, minimal movement for minimal loss of energy. The gigantic paw stuck the rock and broke it. Little Wolf's nails shone the same blood red light as his eyes, he acted fast, he stabbed the wrist of the thing with all ten of his fingers, then rotated. The paw of the wolf-man was separated from its arm.
The monstrous wolf howled in pain and retreated.
"What did you do? Why do I feel pain from the likes of you? Wha-"
The nails of Little Wolf left their blood red light on the wound, the glowing wound started to bubble and then advance, it was slow at the start but as time passed and the bubbling continued the glow was growing and advancing on the thing's arm. The paw that was stuck to the stone was already gone, only a blood red glimmer stood in its place.

The monstrous wolf stabbed itself on the shoulder and ripped off its own arm, the shouler started to ripple and bubble as new flesh was coming to life. Little Wolf did not give it time to heal, he charged the thing, trying to get as close as possible so he had to move a little to stab it, using its bigger size againist it.
The wolf-man had to dodge the now dangerous pup, every time the claws shone red and stuck it, it had to rip the flesh out of its body unless it wanted the strange energy to spread. The monstrous wolf was getting angrier as the time passed, it was a predator, it was made to hunt, not to be hunted. Its arm was finally back, it started a frenzied rampage, swinging with both arms, keeping the pup at bay.
Little Wolf dodged by an air breath each time, the thing was getting faster and faster each swing, it was hard to find the time to get an hit in. He was forced back, his back hit a tree, the wolf-man's eye had a manic glint to them. Little Wolf moved around the tree and towards another tree farther away.
The monstrous wolf fell on four legs and charged after the fleeing pup. The thing jumped towards the pup.
From behind the tree appeared a really roughed up Sidon, he sat near his son, leveled the First Hunter's spear towards the wolf-man's spine and placed the other end on the ground. The thing could not dodge midair and was impaled, the hardwood made strained noises but held. The monstrous wolf growled, it swept twice with its claws, one cut ther First Hunter's spear in half, the other threw Sidon away from Little Wolf.
Sidon crashed on the ground, three gashes on his chest were bleeding profusely. He did not have the strenght to stand, he started feeling cold. The heat was gone a little while ago, it was not time for the snow yet. Sidon had to move, had to protect his son, he started crawling towards them, leaving a trail of blood behind him.

The wolf-man stood, the piece of the First Hunter's spear still embeded deep in its body. Little Wolf was still, his eyes closed, apparently he was out of energy and fell asleep. The thing grinned, it put a paw on Little Wolf's chest, like it was searching for something, then it stabbed with its other claw towards the pup's left shoulder.
A sound of shattering glass sounded, the skin of Little Wolf was broken for the first time, from it a blinding crimson light poured, the wolf-man had to jump back and cut its arm again as it was being eaten by the light.
The hole on Little Wolf's shoulder disappeared, Little Wolf jumped on its feet, a wing of golden light appeared on the right side of him, originating form his right eye. He had his left eye closed, while his right one changed. Before the blood red color covered most of his iris and he had a circle of gold that separated the iris from the black pupil. Now his iris had a circle of blood red that separated his white sclera from the golden iris.
"You just had to destroy one of Awe's Demon's Hearts did you?" The wolf-man felt a foreign voice pierce its way into its brain. "It took me more than a week to make him grow the second one, you should not have done that."
The monstrous wolf charged the pup, Little Wolf raised a hand and a flash of golden light sent the thing flying backwards. Its flesh was sizzling, some patches of fur were missing, others had flames or smoke on them. The powerful vitality of the wolf-man started healing its wounds, it threw its eat to the sky and howled.
Little Wolf pointed a finger to the spear of the First Hunter still embed inside the wolf's body. It started to glow, it became brighter and brighter, then with a golden explosion the upper body of the monstrous wolf was sent flying, dropping dead a little farther away, the lower body was incinerated.
Little Wolf had to use the hardwood tree behind him as sustain.
Awe's body is not ready for my intervention. I tought we had time, two Demon's Hearts could let me do something, I needed at least three to show myself. I drained almost all of the energy that he got from the destruction of his heart in two little miracles...
Howls and bleats started coming from the forest. Five wolf-men appared from the woods, Sidon felt despair cage his heart.
Shit. I'm sorry Joy, I could not protect your son.
The being inside Little Wolf's body despaired.
The five monstrous wolves were smaller than the one that called itself Champion but, there was no one that could face them.
Snowflakes started to fall from the sky. It was as if the World itself cried icy tears.
