"A God could do everything on its own, in time. But a Champion cannot. That's why in the moment that a God is made, Ego gifts it a structure. There will always be one and only one Champion. Under him there will be the Paladins, usually the next Champion will be grown as a Paladin. Then there are the Priests the voices that try to get new followers to the God. And last but not least the Monks alone or in small groups, they life their entire life to serve their God by prayers and actions."

"Religion is scary stuff, don't fall for it!"
Fianna was waiting for her son and her husband. They were separated by the attack, she had to flee early because she was the senion caretaker and she was needed to keep the calm on the now refugees. She could have left that role with someone else, she could fight, Sidon knew that. But he convinced her otherwise, the three of them fighing togheter as a family was well and good but, is Sidon were to fall, their son needed a parent that was safe. Other than that there was a dropper problem. The villagers took the animals they had inside the village with them through the tunnels, the three droppers that Sidon brought to the village scared the other animals, scared the villagers too. Only Sidon, Fianna and Little Wolf could make them obey, they were really smart and, they were a tight group, a pack. It appeared as the female remembered Sidon's scent as he brought them inside the village, they were saved by him, they remembered that debt to him and his pack, his family.
The villagers came from the tunnel, Sidon and Little Wolf were not with them. Fianna tried to rush into the tunnel, to join her family. The villagers stopped her, the tunnel was collapsed on the other side, it was unusable now and, they knew of their First Hunter prowess, they were still alive and they could get out or so they hoped. Then the howls came and the monstrous howl followed.

Fianna was marching around the rally point, she was fuming. She was angry at her husband because he did not let her be with her family when they needed it, she was angry at herself because she let her husband convince her to leave. Goin in circles was not helping her nerves, the wolves howls were tuned down a little, she did not know if it was a good thing or not. Fianna walked towards the droppers, the female one has cute tufts of fur on her ears, Fianna found that they were really relaxing to play with when she needed to think. The dropper watched the woman play with her really sensitive ears with an hateful stare but let the female human do as she pleased.
Snowflakes started to fall from the sky. Fianna looked to the sky surprised.
"Snow, now? It's just too ear-"
Her musing was interrupted by a powerful bleat. The three droppers steadied themselves and their ears were moving like crazy. Other bleats started coming from various zones of the forest, the three started bleating to the sky, short bursts and then started to listen again. Fianna watched them confused, the female one charged her, made Fianna swing around her head and drop on the female back. Fianna had just the time to grab the little horns of the female dropper when the three of them started to walk, then run, then jump.
Three droppers and a distraught woman were traveling at brisk pace inside the forest, the temperature was getting colder, the little snowflakes were becoming a snowstorm and fast. The tree droppers brought Fianna to a battlefield, rocks were broken, the huge hardwood trees moved aside, uprooted or just broken to pieces. There were hundreds of droppers, there were some strange wolf like beings but Fianna had not eyes for what was going on, she had eyes only for her husband. She saw the biggest dropper yet, it was standing over the unmoving body of Sidon, it was breathing snow and ice into his chest.

Usually droppers were black or brown or a mix of the two, but it was known that if they ate enough cold stones, their bodies would change and take a bluish white color. This dropper was probably around seven meters tall, its body was pure white, like the snow that was spinning around it. Its horns and hooves were made of ice, from the open mouth Fianna could see the teeth were ice too. She did not care about what was going around her, she rushed to Sidon.
"Get away from my husband!"
She yelled and punched the giant beast on the side of the nose.
The giant dropper shook its head and then snorted could air and icicles, it was more surprised than in pain. Pain instead was spreading throught Fianna's hand as the skin of the dropper was hard and cold, freezing cold.
"While I slept my kin was hunted and killed by the snarling ones, I did not protect them. I failed them, your pack, your kin defended mine while I did not."
The white dropper looked at Fianna, the snow that was spinning in the air brought words to the woman's ears.
"Your pack was in danger, the little blue one told me, woke me. Your pack protected mine, my pack protected yours. The sleeping one is unhurt, this one-" The icy being moved its eyes onto Sidon's body. "- was bleeding profusely, my breath stopped the bleeding but, this is the best I can do."
"Wha- what is happening, where is Little Wolf?"
Said Fianna confused and agitated.
"Our debts are paid now, blood for blood, safety for safety. Now, we go back to the moutains. We will remember your pack kindness."
The giant dropper's head pointed to the sky, a powerful bleat acompanied with another temperature drop and more snow left the being mouth.
All the other droppers joined the call of their giant kin then, togheter they started to move, they took the wolf's bodies and jumped away.
Fianna was left alone with a hurt hand, a half frozen husband and now that the droppers were gone she could see her sleeping son.

Sometimes my voice dies in my throat, buries itself beneath waves of crippling suffocation, burns itself out as cold hands tear at my laced skin. I have smiled while my eyes have cried and pleaded, my wrists numb, my lips wobbling and blue, and stars escaping this dark night that I'm trapped in. I long for a darkness that gives way to light. But I do feel the warmth of petals gathering and scattering in my cold bones, and imagine the touch and the sweetness of a kiss, and my heart rises to the surface of this sea and finds a sky painted by passing artists remaining far above our heads. I'm breathing out all the words I've kept locked under the pages of my breaking mind. And by doing so, I'm going to heal.TRIGGER WARNINGS: depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, OCD, panic attacks
