"Ah, so you are an Arts user. What a shame."

Rubeoso turns around quickly, he spots Mr. Lude, "You're and arts user? Why aren't you with the others?" "Oh no, you got me all wrong, I'm not an Arts user." "Hmmm? Then why aren't you frozen?" "All of you arts users think thay way." "What way?" "That us of the new generation are weak." "But aren't you?" "You have much to learn. Anyway I am glad I have an Arts user as a student, and a pretty powerful one at that. Although I do wish I had a strong New Generation for once." "You don't seem scared, even though you know how strong I am." "Seems that way doesn't it." "So how strong are you?" "Pretty strong." "Hmmm, oh well, dont worry I wont hurt that kid too bad." "I don't care what you do. I will but in if you attempt to seriously hurt him though." "And you think you can stop me?" Mr. Lude smiles, "We'll have to see." "Whatever." Rubeoso deactivates his time freeze art. The boy is still in a combat stance, "What wrong? Scared to fight?" "Calm down, Eric." "Hunh?! Mr. Lude?! When did you get here?" "Just now." "A-ok." Eric scurries off back to the bench. Another 10 minutes pass before Mr. Lude speaks up again, "And that's a wrap ladies and gentlemen! Now that 16 people of gotten through the gate, everyone else can either go home or head to the Coliseum for the next part of the exam." He then turns off the mic and talks to the 16 applicants who passed, "Congratulations! Follow me to the Coliseum now." Someone in the group speaks up, "Wait a minute aren't there supposed to be more people then 16 to get into the academy." Mr. Lude responds, "Yes that might have been the past, but this year I decided to cut it down to 8, so I can focus on them and make them as strong as possible." The same kid responds agrily, "What!? You can't just do that!" "But I can." The kid shuts up. The group starts heading towards the Coliseum. A couple minutes into the walk Eric goes up to Rubeoso. He laughs, "My father already told me what the next part of the test is." Rubeoso looks at him, "And that is?" "A 2v2 tournament." Eric says in a self righteous tone. "And your excited about that." Eric looks at Rubeoso like he's an idiot, "Of course, I'll be able to kick your ass then." "If you say so." Rubeoso then goes back to walking with Lucas. About 15 minutes later, they reach the city's coliseum. Mr. Lude speaks to group, "Alright everyone, the stands will probably be pretty full, so try not to pee your pants." He then leads everyone in. Even Rubeoso is surprised by the sheer volume of people in the coliseum, at least 20,000, there isn't a single seat in the place not filled. "Wow! Mr. Rubeoso isn't this crazy!" Rubeoso looks at Lucas and smiles, "It sure is." Mr. Lude leads them all to the center of the Coliseum before speaking to the crowd, "Ladies and Gentlemen! Thank you for coming tonight! Today we will have each of the 16 final contestants fight in 2v2 battles to determine who is the strongest!" Well at least Eric was telling the truth. Mr. Lude continues speaking, "All the contestants have been teamed up based on their interactions up to this point. To find out which duo is fighting which duo, I will be pulling from a hat." Mr. Lude reaches into his hat for the first pick, "Princess Elise Von Lamphart and Eric Len Nilson, vs..." A murmur is spread through the crowd. Mr. Lude laughs to himself, "Rubeoso Jaine and Lucas Manty." Ugh, really? This isn't going to help my reputation. "Will the four contestants please take to the coliseum, and everyone else follow me." Mr. Lude leads everyone else out. Lucas comes up to Rubeoso, "Do you think we can take them?" "Don't worry, we'll be fine." Mr. Lude yells again, "Let the fight, begin!" Immediately Rubeoso and Lucas sense obscene amounts of energy directed at Elise. Being the princess does come with it's perks. Eric looks at them, "Me and the Princess will definetly destroy you now!" Rubeoso doesn't care about Eric, instead he looks over at Elise, she is radiating some serious power. Without even saying anything she sprints in towards Rubeoso and Lucas, with dual swords in hand, she throws one at lucas. Art Activated : Object Freeze The sword freezes in mid-air and drops to the ground with a clang. This doesn't stop Elise though, she sprints straight in towards Lucas and swings down to hit him. Art Activated : Phantom Weapons 2 swords appear in Rubeoso's hands, seemingly out of nowhere. He quikcly appears infront of Lucas and parries Elise's strike. Eric speaks up again, "Hmph, not bad for a bunch of cheater." Rubeoso gives intructions to Lucas, "Hey, you got take care of Eric, I'll take care of this princess here." Lucas looks at him warily, "Are you sure I can handle him?" "Positive. Now go!" Lucas sprints off. Rubeoso turns back to Elise, "This shouldn't be too hard." Elise responds, "Do you really think that lowly of me?" Rubeoso doesn't answer. He quickly moves behind Elise and strikes her down. The crowd is in shock. But they want the princess to win, so they pour all of their energy into and give her heal buff after heal buff, until she got back. Suddenly Rubeoso feels a monstrous jolt of energy go into Elise. He looks up to the root of the buff and spots the current king. Crap, even if the king isn't an Arts User, you still have to be incredibly strong to become king. Elise turns back to Rubeoso, "Let's see if you can handle me now!" If the king keeps supporting her, this could be bad, better finish this right now. Art Activated : Teleport Art Activated : Medium Slash Rubeoso teleports right behind Elise and uses a Medium Slash. Even though Rubeoso tried to hold back it still knocked Elise 5 feet down into the ground. Rubeoso then looks back at Lucas to see that had dealt with Eric. I'll have to ask him about it later. Mr. Lude yells over the speechless crowd, "And the winner of the first match, Rubeoso and Lucas!"
