Rubeoso and Lucas wake up in the Inn that Colston and Damone had set up for all of them.

"Good morning Mr. Rubeoso!" "Good morning Lucas, ready for the big day?" "I sure am! Wanna grab some breakfast?" "Yup, let's get going." They both get changed and head out of the Inn, they head across the road and enter the Edeus Cafe. It smells of pastries and warmth. Rubeoso gets a donut-like pastry, while Lucas just gets a biscuit. They both sit down to start eating. "So, Mr. Rubeoso, what do you think the entrance exam will be?" "I don't know, hopefully something easy." "Easy? Only 20 get in, and around 1000 are planning on participating." "If all we have to do is fight it shouldn't be too hard." "Well maybe for you, I'm not as strong as you." "You'll be fine." "I don't know about that." Suddenly the door to the cafe opens, and two kids, around Lucas' age step into the cafe. One of the boys steps up to the counter, "We'll have two of whatever your most expensive food is." "You got it." The employee scurries back into the kitchen to start preparing the food. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the loser Lucas." Lucas doesn't look up, he just keeps eating his food. "And would you look at that, the no mana fluke is here with him." Even though Lucas is looking down, Rubeoso isn't taking any of their crap, "What did you say?" His eyes flare red. "Ohhh, isn't that cute, the no mana fluke wants to fight with the big boys." They then run towards towards the door, father away from Rubeoso, they regain their composure, "Of course loser Lucas, is hiding behind his friend, come fight us like a man next time." They then leave. "Thanks for that, Mr. Rubeoso." "Don't worry about it." They both finish eating in silence. "Alright, let's head to the academy." Rubeoso leads the way out of the Edeus Cafe. They then start walking towards the academy. After walking a bit they reach the King's Academy. A huge crowd has formed, all kinda of people from age 17-22 are looking to enter the prestigous academy. A voice appears over the loud speaker, "Welcome, all possible future student! My name is Mr. Lude, and even though I'm only 28, I'm the head teacher here at King Academy #27! Many of you are probably wondering how to enter the exam." A nod of agreement is spread throughout the crowd. "Well it is quite simple! All you have to do is get through these gates in front me." He gestures towards the open gate between him and the crowd. "It's that simple?" Someone in the crowd yelled out. "Well, sort of, five teachers will be guarding it." "Five teachers! That's impossible!" "Well, you will have to do your best to get through." Five teachers then appear infront of the gate. "You may begin!" The head master smiles as he see's the hundreds of a applicants towards the gate, "Hmm, quite the spectacle, I guess this is my first year as headmaster, so I'm not used to it." He says to himself. "Well that was easy." "Mr. Rubeoso! How did we get back here so fast?" Mr. Lude spins around and sees two people behind him, "How did you two get back here so quickly?" Rubeoso looks at Mr. Lude, "We just ran really fast." "That's impossible, I didn't see you." "That's why I said really fast." Mr. Lude eyes them up and down, he then talks to himself, "Hm, could he be? Oh well, we'll see." He then speaks back up to Rubeoso and Lucas, "Very well, I look forward to seeing you later." Rubeoso then leads Lucas over to the bench where all the people who made it through the fence sit. They are currently the only ones there. About ten minutes pass before someone else gets through, it appears to be a wealthy girl, probably around 20, "Yes! I knew that I, Elise Von Lamphart, would be first."

She walks over to the bench and sits down without even noticing that Lucas and Rubeoso were already sitting. Rubeoso decides to mess with her, "Hey Lucas, I'm glad someone decided to show up, I was getting bored just sitting here." Elise's head spins fast as possible to look at who just said that, she spots Rubeoso and Lucas sitting down, she points her finger at them, "What?! How did you get here before me?! I saw no one but me get through the gates! When did you get here?!" Rubeoso smiles, "About 10 minutes ago." "WHAT! That's impossible! The task only started 10 minutes ago!" "Well then I guess you are just slow." "I don't believe you got here that fast, you must be cheating." "Think whatever you want, we still beat you." Elise is about to respond when a group of 3 boys get through the gate, it appears that one of them is the leader, they walk up to Elise, "M'lady, it does not suprise me that the princess of this country was the first to make it through." Elise responds in a defeated tone, "3rd." The boys are taken aback, "3rd? That's impossible, who could've-" He spots Lucas and Rubeoso, "Did those, commoner filth, beat you? That's riduculous." Rubeoso is amused by the situation, "Oh no it's true, we creamed her highness by 10 minutes." The boy does not laugh, "Oh, it seems like a cheating commoner needs to be put in his place." He walks up to rubeoso and gets into a combat stance. Skill activated: time freeze Rubeoso freezes time, planning on tripping the boys or something. But then he hears Mr. Lude's voice, "Ah, so you are an arts user. What a shame."
