《Devour》Chapter 4: Love my dress?

Inside a cave, a sword made out of space rock, a King slime's core, and a vial of blood are arranged side by side neatly. Jio hesitates to do what the Gecko said to him, which requires a drop of his blood to the King slime's core, but it might cause it to backfire and get him killed in the process. He takes a deep breath, cuts his left palm aggressively, and holds the core, resulting in him passing out on the spot, not because of the blood nor the pain but information going through his mind.
*Is it the right choice to take the Gecko's advice?* Jio thought before passing out
He wakes up confused and asking why he dreams about being a slime and realizes how the core can be used or fuse with a weapon of his choice. He slowly puts the King slime's core in the sword that sinks inside the blade like a man standing in quicksand. He grabs the sword, surprised and happy that she didn't lie to him while the sword moves like water, and when Jio thinks of a war hammer, it hardens to a war hammer, precisely what's inside his mind. It's like the weapon itself becomes a part of his body, and he can tell all impurities inside his soul weapon as he removed it from it. The impurities discharge like sweat while the color turns darker black. He looks at the vial with blood from the beautiful Gecko, and the soul weapon quickly turns to a long needle extending to the vial, sucking the blood inside like a mosquito drinking blood.
He continues to walk, looking for a way to get back; he tried climbing the tallest tree but had no luck. He needs to get back to the school, or he will get kicked out by Ms. Remy.

*Might have used all my luck last time* Jio thought with a wary smile
It's been four days since he gets lost in the forest and hoping to get back to school on time, which is not likely to happen; nevertheless, this did not stop Jio from finding a few precious herbs and minerals on the forest floor.
Danger can be seen in every corner of this forest but also rewarding. Last time, a group of Evil One-eyed apes chased Jio and encountered a twenty-meter long tree viper guarding a tree that produces Dragon Pear fruits, which helps anyone who eats the fruit to improve their eyesight. While the Tree Viper fights with the Evil One-Eyed apes, he sneaks to take some Dragon Pears with him as he escapes.
The Tree Viper has the ability to camouflage the whole Dragon Pear tree like a guardian guarding a treasure and would attack and kill that comes near the tree.
Dragon Pear - Some say that this treasure would make you see things differently, like a dragon's pair of eyes, looking down from the tallest mountain to observe everything surrounding the mountain protecting its territory.
Jio eventually hears flowing water nearby, and when he checks the map he bought the day he arrived at the city, the corner of San Mariano has a river separating the two, and it might be the one to lead him back.
As he walks following the map, Jio heard someone shouts for help; as he investigates, he saw three Monsgus monsters that look humanoid and have the ability to absorb magic or any type of energy as they return it to the enemy. The girl with messy hair and magic ice stones on both hands looks exhausted and about to hit her limit without giving the monster any severe injuries that make her more frustrated and eventually pass out. At the same time, Jio saw a man cut in half near the girl and thought that its the girl's lover.

Monsgus - The only thing that makes this monster special is their skin which you know absorbs magic or energy around them.
These monsters are vicious; they take the human scalp and skin because they found it beautiful for them to wear like a dress and deceive their next victim easily, and for any female they capture would be their plaything for almost a week before killing them.
Jio concentrate and turn his weapon into a bow and takes an arrow from the ring, and aims it at the Monsgus, adding wind magic to add speed into it. The arrow hits one Monsgus in the neck and pins it in the ground. The two remaining Monsgus try to take the arrow out but fail to save their kind and watch that Monsgus dies struggling. Monsgus is very sensitive to magic, letting them know where the arrow originated from as they charge towards the place to avenge their kind.
