《Devour》Chapter 5: Whoops!

When the Monsgus arrive in front of Jio, they immediately take the fire magic out in their system, hoping they burn him to ashes to avenge their youngest brother. He didn't die a quick and painless death but instead a painful and miserable death. They clearly saw Jio holding a bow, and there's no way he could survive that fire, but they notice a shield that looks like it is made from a fire salamander's scales as the smoke clears out.
*Is this the adaptation ability of that Gecko? I heard it takes time before it can adapt...° Jio thought while the shield morphe to a sword, but this time it doesn't look like the one on his mind but more like an upgraded version thanks to the ability of "Adaptation."
The sword turns dark red and looks like it's made from a fire salamander's tail and space rock together. One Monsgus swings his dagger swiftly, giving no time for Jio to react. Still, Jio already put a layer of wind defense around his body beforehand, causing the blade to miss him, allowing Jio to swing his sword at the Monsgus. The other Monsgus blocks Jio's sword, knowing that his brother would be cut in half if he didn't block it, but Jio smiles, causing both Monsgus to panic for a reason.
The sword passes through the dagger like water and cuts the Monsgus in half, and morphe again. This time it didn't change to a weapon of any kind but a mouth with razor-sharp teeth like a hungry wolf about to swallow someone alive. The soul weapon points toward the last Monsgus and charges like a shark that didn't eat for a whole week. It takes a bite on the last Mongus's arm as it continues up to the body and eventually finishing the entire body leaving blood everywhere, and Jio whispers, "Devour."
*I should name my sword... Maybe call it Jon? Or something...* Jio thought, and even it doesn't matter, naming his soul weapon makes it easier to identify since it can change shape like water.

Jio slowly walks toward the dead Monsgus while Joh devours them piece by piece, making it bigger and bigger till it equals Jio's size. Jio can feel and identify what's inside Jon's right now, so he removes all unnecessary parts leaving only the one that can absorb magic and energy to be part of Jon's. Without the useless body parts, Jon gets back from its original size.
Jon suddenly shivers from the handle to the tip and starts turning inside out. Jon is like a river current right now in which the wave is created from alternating space rock and Monsgus's skin from the handle to the tip and eventually went back to its original, jet black color like nothing happened to Jon. Jio feels that Jon successfully obtains the Monsgus's ability to absorb energy.
Jio looks at the girl from head to toe and starts laughing, "Today is my lucky day!" He picks her up, places her under the tree, puts Jon down, and looks at her again.
*She might know the way back! Finally, some hope!* Jio smiles as he picks the girl up again
The next day, the girl wakes up and notices a campfire near her, and she remembers what happened yesterday, so she quickly stands up but notices Jio eating a roasted pig.
"Hey you, you're finally awake," Jio said in a calm voice, smiling.
"Where am I? And who are you?" She said while in a fighting posture
"Rude!! You could have said, 'thank you,' and I should be the one asking who you are?" Jio let out as he takes a big bite of the meat on a stick.
"Sorry..." She sits down and looks at him again, opens her mouth, but nothing comes out
"If your hungry, just grab some since I can't finish the whole pig by myself," said Jio offering her food to eat.
Time passes, and Jio realizes what happened after asking the girl named Joy. The man rotting beside the Monsgus is a Hell School student, just like Joy. One day, she was drugged without noticing, and he dragged her into the forest to do his way with her. The man usually waits for the victim to wake up weak, but three Monsgus showed up when she wakes up.

"Thank you again, and it will take us half a day to get back to the road and another half to be in the school," Joy said after Jio ask how to get back.
When Jio and Joy finally reach the general and are about to take separate ways, "Thank you! For showing me the way... Was lost for four or five days in the forest and I might see you again in Hell School maybe who knows?" he turns around and walks towards his house after saying goodbye. Joy look at him walking and about to say something but fails again, just like the last time.
When Jio arrives back home, he immediately starts calling his mother Mrs. De Vil because he knows when he calls his father Mr. De Vil first, Mrs. De Vil would be in a terrible mood. Jio doesn't want that "Ladies first... to be precise, your mother first all the time!" As he remembers what his father taught him long ago for a good reason.
The homophone is a holographic and a voice long-distance communication device. Still, it requires an antenna located in the city, meaning you can only call in the city or within the antenna's range.
"Hello, Ma!" said Jio.
"Why did you call just now? You could have called five days ago... *sniff* You make you Ma to worry," Mrs. De Vil let out.
"Anyways, Ma, I'm fine, and they put me to class 1-1, by the way," Jio reports
"Oh!!! Sorry peanut, I forget to get you a soul sword," Mrs. De Vil quickly said.
"No worries, Ma, I already have one!" Jio replies.
"Oh wow! Your luck is not normal, peanut! I want to see it," Mrs. De Vil demands.
Jio took Jon out and said, "It's a special soul weapon...I called it Jon?"
"Why did you name your sword?" Mrs. De Vil asks.
"What did you mean, Ma?" Jio let out as he let Jon morphe into knuckles, war hammer, spear, and more
"..." Mrs. De Vil is speechless.
"It has the ability to morphe anything I can think off, devour, adopt to anything and absorption!" Jio happily explains.
"Jio, do not show Jon's true power for now since you're still weak," Jio immediately turns serious when his Ma said his first name because he knows his Ma that much when she gets serious.
"Will do, Ma" Jio nods in response.
"Anyways, peanut, how did you manage to get that heaven-defying weapon?" Mrs. De Vil asks
Jio tells his story, and Mrs. De Vil is a sure surprise to her son's story and all his encounters in less than a week. The most interesting she sees right now is Jon morphing to a mini stage like she's watching a show about her son, and she said, "Oh peanut, your avatar is so cute!!! I want one!"
"...." Jio is speechless and finally said "Ma, I'll find a way someday," Mrs. De Vil now looks like a stubborn kid as she stares at Jio.

Shakespeare's 154 Sonnets (Completed )
Shakespeare's Sonnets is the title of a collection of 154 sonnets by William Shakespeare, which covers themes such as the passage of time, love, beauty and mortality. The first 126 sonnets are addressed to a young man; the last 28 to a woman. The sonnets are almost all constructed from three quatrains, which are four-line stanzas, and a final couplet composed in iambic pentameter. This is also the meter used extensively in Shakespeare's plays. The rhyme scheme is abab cdcd efef gg. Sonnets using this scheme are known as Shakespearean sonnets. Often, the beginning of the third quatrain marks the volta ("turn"), or the line in which the mood of the poem shifts, and the poet expresses a revelation or epiphany.
