Chapter 24 Being Blamed For Crimes I Didn’t Commit
“Eeek! Eeek! I’m gonna die! It got me! It got me!” Officer Tongue who scooted backwards on the floor until her back was pressed firmly against the sliding door of Hizen’s private office was throwing a major tantrum as she thought about her imminent demise.
Detective Myers realized her desperate situation and called out to her. “Ms Tongue! Stay calm and don’t remove your mask! The gas has yet to corrode your internal viscera. Get up and come over to where I am. You can do it. Hurry before Peter completely succumbs to the gas!”
“O-okay.” Officer Tongue was scared out of her mind, but she managed to regain some of her composure when she heard what Detective Myers told her. [Thud! Thud!] She transferred strength to her legs, trying to stand up. But before she could stand up properly, a full-fledge Fart Mutant manifested from the feculent remains of officer Peter.
“RAAAH!” [BOOM!] The virulent gas that came out of the dildo canister wasn’t that strong, so it dissipated in the air very quickly after exploding in the officers’ faces. However, when Peter grotesque nature fully took form, he freed his mutated bowels of deadly vapours which rushed throughout the precinct like wildfire. [Fart! Fart! Fart!]
“Here it comes! Everyone cover your skin with something!” [Whoosh!] Detective Myers warning came too late. By the time the officers could find something to cover the exposed parts of their skin, they were already engulfed in poisonous spores of gas. “Retreat into my office!” Detective Myers dashed into his office nearby along with the other officers who were closest to him and sealed the doors.
Ms Tongue was too far away from Detective Myers office, thus she started banging on officer Hizen’s private office’s doors, begging him to let her inside. “Please! Open the door! Please! The monster is coming to kill me! And the poisoned gas is enveloping everywhere!”
Cryson heard the desperate screams coming from outside the office and glanced at his superior officer. “Major, shouldn’t we let her in? She might die at this rate.”

“Ignore her. That’s the insane ramblings of an infected person. Focus on getting yourself ready. Soon we will wreak havoc on those ass monsters.” Officer Hizen continued equipping his choice of weapons, not paying any attention to the raucous lamentation outside his office.
“Please help me!” Officer Tongue’s name was a fitting appellation for her current disposition. She was screaming desperately while trying to find a secure place to evade the Fart Mutant. [Huff! Huuf!] She spotted a tall file locker close by officer Hizen’s office. She quickly emptied its content and dove inside. For the time being, she was safe from the vicious onslaught of the Fart Mutant who was tearing up the department. However, the gaseous bowel juice being exuded from the Fart Mutant’s scary asses was still bombarding her important apertures. Had it not being for the Lignum mask, she would have died ten times over already, even so, her mask’s capsules containing Lignum essence was depleting rapidly. Very soon, her respiratory system would be overrun by the poison gas.
[Whoosh!] The virulent gas continued to travel throughout the corridor, quickly making its way towards Lieutenant Fain’s office. [Chep! Chep! Chep!] Three incompetent officers who were unfortunate enough to accidentally damage the Lignum capsules of their mask were dashing towards Lieutenant Fain’s office with a horse-like spur.
“Lieutenant! Lieutenant! Lieutenant! Let us in!”
“Huh?” Perceiving the terrified officers heading her way with an unruly green gas chasing behind them, Lieutenant Fain quickly opened her office doors and closed it right after the three officers dashed inside. [Boom!] The gas was pissed off when it missed the chance of infecting those three officers. [Whoosh!] It retreated to the originator of the deadly fart.
“Are you guys okay? What happened out there? How did the poisonous gas get inside the building? I thought I instructed everyone to seal the apertures.” Lieutenant Fain sought answers as she helped her fellow FPD officers up from the floor.
“Lieutenant...” [Huff! Huff!] “I’m not really sure what happened. I just ran as soon as I laid eyes on that ugly monster that suddenly popped up in the office.”

“Me too. I ran as fast as I possibly can.”
“Wait, I saw it… I saw what caused this mess.” The third officer knew something. As he got up from the floor he started pointing a naughty finger at Selene who was standing breathless in the corner. “It was her!”
“What are you talking about? What did I do?” Selene protested against this sudden accusation that lack all manner of truth. “I was being detained in this office the entire time. How could I be the cause of what you are talking about?”
“You effing bitch! I’ll rip you to pieces!” The third officer rushed Selene with an intensity to kill. Lieutenant Fain had to intervene and pulled him back while Selene retreated further in the corner.
“Cool it, officer Damion. Explain to me careful what do you mean by this lady is the cause?” Lieutenant Fain brought officer Damion to the opposite side of her office, away from Selene’s proximity. The dangerous gaze of his eyes showed how serious he was about hurting Selene.
[Huff! Huff!] “Lieutenant Fain I saw it all. Officer Tongue and Peter took something out of that woman’s suitcase which exploded in their faces. Due to Peter not wearing his Lignum mask at the time, he inhaled the toxic fumes and immediately transformed into that monster.”
Lieutenant Fain, as well as Selene, were both shocked when they heard this. “Do you speak the truth, Damion?”
“Lieutenant Fain take a good look at my face. Does it look like I would make this shit up? I almost died because of that deceptive bitch. I bet she planned this attack with those terrorist group who brought chaos to our city. How else could you explain the abnormal synchronicity of that hazardous bomb going off in the station? Because of that evil wench, our officers are being slaughtered outside!”
“No! You got it all wrong! I wasn’t involved in this terror attack.” Selene tried clearing the exasperating air that was blowing in her direction. But no matter what she said, the indignant officers would never believe her.
“Not another word from you!” [Slap!] Lieutenant Fain’s anger was boiling over. The moment she heard excuses spitting out of Selene’s stinking mouth, her swift arm streaked across the room and landed a livid palm strike across Selene’s satin cheek which left behind a visible bruise. Moreover, she pinned Selene against her desk with her lethal handgun aimed directly at her forehead. “You effing criminal! Here I was starting to believe that you weren’t a bad person. I even considered letting you off with a light punishment and you went and pulled this stunt! What did you do to my officers? What is that mutating gas you unleashed inside my precinct? Answer me you sly bitch?”
[Bam!] Lieutenant Fain slapped the butt of her gun on Selene’s jaw for her to speak the truth. If she had applied a bit more force, Selene wouldn’t have been able to speak another word. “It wasn’t me! I’m telling you the truth. None of this was my fault! I have no idea what’s happening!”
“You think I would believe you after what I’ve just heard and witnessed? Go to sleep. I’ll make sure you received proper punishment when we make it out of this mess you and your terrorist buddies have created. How foolish of you to even pull such a suicide stunt.” [Boom!] Lieutenant Fain knocked Selene unconscious by viciously slamming her head on the desk which split in half furthermore collapsed with her corpse. “Just you wait and see you rebel scum.”

Magic system vaguely similar to GameLit ones (no system nor interface to help), with certain elements that are a bit more analogue. Politics, war, looming apocalypse, a tiny dash of kingdom building, and a minor bit of crafting. There is a bit of a progression element as well as both environmental and cultural exploration. The story follows two youths more directly influenced by aforementioned Elder beings than most. Neither lead cares for politics but certain situations force them into participating, forcing them to make decisions that shape their morality.
