The first thing in Simon agenda was making use of the dwarves living below the mountain, as with their tools, workforce and weapons they would undoubtedly help greatly to Simon's plan to create a kingdom worth for Camille's.
So when the sun rised, Simon asked at Camille for the direction where he could enter the path to travel at the dwarves place.
When Simon mentioned the dwarves, Camille's good mood was spoiled. With much coax from his part, he was able to make her grudgingly say him the the direction of their place. Promising her that she wouldn't regret it, Simon walked down the mountain with a great mood.
Seeing that he had a few hour ahead until he reached the mountain feet, he started to ask Arad a few questions regarding this world.
He didn't got to much information from him, as prior to Arad departure the world was facing a change in the power tide. So the kingdoms at that time would have probably changed.
Also, without both of them having knowledge of the current time, Arad couldn't give him the exact amount of time that has passed. He only told him that after his departure, he spended two thousands years in the Heavenly Realm until his death. But he warned him that the realms, much like the one where they were currently in, time flowed different than in the Heavenly Realm. Here millenniums could have passed, if not more, while in the Heavenly Realm only a few hours, days, month or few years, would have passed.
So without any means to know the current status in the world, Simon decided to let the future him to take care of it.
While chatting about various things suddenly Arad asked "Simon, why you haven't thought about having an harem? I'm really surprised that you haven't mentioned that or imply it."
Simon give him a stern look at Arad, he knew that he has probably understood his liking back in the previous world.
He rolled his eyes while he answered.
"I don't think my kidneys would last that much if I were to have an harem, also, who I will flirt with? I'm living with a dragon in a mountain. The nearest female is hundreds of kilometers away, probably." There was a hint of grievance in his tone, as after passing for having a regular sex life to a completely null one, leave a sour taste in his mouth..
Hearing his words, Arad smiled mischievously while he teased Simon. "Oh but you certainly did have a female hugging you yesterday, or did I see wrong?"
Simon stopped on his spot and glared to Arad. "Don't bring that here, Camille is someone that I see as a friend, also she's a dragon. I can't imagine being together with a lizard." There was a serious and stern tone in Simon voice while he said this to Arad.
He started to see Camille's as a friend and someone to rely on, not as a lover. Also his own preferences didn't include zoophilia, he couldn't bring himself to see Camille as something that could be liked as a human being, as she wasn't one to begin with. He even though that if it were to happen something once by somehow miracle, he would be worried about what kind of things could happen to his body, as he didn't think that having sexual relationship with another specie will be safe.
Seeing the look and hearing his tone, Arad knew that he didn't have to tease more to him, so he tried to ease the tension. "You don't have to get angry boy I was just joking, jeez. I can't believe that you used to be seemed as someone funny by the people around you in your previous life." With a chuckle he said to him while gesturing with his hands.

Simon maintained his gaze over Arad for a few moments, then he decided continue walking. After a few minutes in silence, Simon smiled while he said. "You know, if I ever found someone that I like, I will waste no effort to make you suffer if I ever find out that you spied me."
"Gwahahaha, don't worry kid. I don't have that kind of fetish." Arad laughed loudly after hearing Simon, as this was the thing that he was having in mind. He didn't wanted to observe those kind of moments in Simon's life, unless it was to make fun of him.
With a better mood between them, they keep walking down.
After walking down for a while, he was able to reach the mountain feet and began to look around for the location that Camille told him, he could see in the distance near where the entrance should be, a pair of armoured dwarfs guarding it. Seeing the sturdy and bearded dwarfs cladded in heavy armor, Simon couldn't help but marveled at their sight.
There was an strange feeling when he saw the other race, he couldn't help but describe it as if he was watching an exotic animal. He knew that they have resemblance to humans, but something inside him knew that they were another race, so it was hard for him to acknowledge or act like if he was in presence of a person. Back in the cave he was taken aback by the sudden appearance of the hairy dwarf, but this time it was different. As seeing them in front of him and knowing that he had to talk to them, it was hard to not feeling strange.
Perceiving the state of Simon, Arad chuckled as he said to him. "You would get used to it, maybe being near of another race would help you to improve your views towards life."
Simon nodded his head, as he was sure that something would change in his life once he grew accustomed to the races of this world, but for the time being he would be trying to not act weirdly around them.
Seeing the human getting near, both dwarves get alerted, one of them raised his voice while he asked in a hard accent. "Halt there! This place belong to us Svaltars, if you are not related to Her Majesty please turn around or we will be forced to take action!"
Hearing the dwarf words, Simon raised both of his hands as he exclaimed. "I meant no harm! I live with Camille up there, I came here today in order to talk about a few things that she needs. Can you send someone to inform your superiors about this?"
Hearing his words, one of the guards nodded while he retreated back to their underground city. The other one watched the former leaving, remembering his orders he said to Simon.
"Please hold in there a few minutes, it will not too long until they came back."
Simon nodded to his words as he just sit on the grass, trying again to meditate.
Seeing his action, Arad chuckled while the dwarf frowned. But neither say anything to him.
After a few minutes, echoes of footsteps could be heard coming from the entrance. A few moments later, several figures surfaced from there, leading them was a gray-haired dwarf with a long beard who was wearing a chain mail with lether pants, with each of his steps, an iron sound could be heard as he was wearing iron boots.
Behind him there was five more dwarves with similar attires, the only difference were the colors of their heads and beards, at least for Simon. The guard that went to search for them was behind the group, quickly approaching to his companion.

Simon opened his eyes as he heard the footsteps halt, he saw the grey-haired dwarf analyzing him from head to toe. Simon was a little uncomfortable at seeing seven dwarfs watching him in silence with a deep look on their eyes. Not wanting to maintain their gaze on him so much he quickly said.
"Greetings! My name is..." Suddenly Simon thought of something as he said to them "Constantine, I am Constantine. I'm carrying with me news about Camille and her plans regarding this lands." Hearing his words, Arad who was at his side frowned and asked him.
"Why aren't you telling them your name?"
(*I think it would be the best if I start from zero, having a new name would be a good start, don't you think?*) Hearing Simon's, now Constantine, words Arad rolled his eyes while he said. "Yeah, whatever."
Not able to hear Arad words, the gray-haired dwarf nodded his head as he answered 'Constantine' words.
"Greeting's Human, the name's Urdin, Grand elder from the Svaltar people. While I'm not sure if you are under Her Majesty orders, I'm aware that you were living with her. Pardon me for not being so hospitable but until I can confirm your intentions and hear your words, I will be forced to attend you here." The dwarf called Urdin smiled lightly while he said.
Hearing the dwarf talking without a pronounced accent 'Constantine' raised his brows in surprise, he thought that they would probably sound alike when it came to talk. Not minding too much about this, he smiled cordially at Urdin while he spoke with respect.
"Nice to meet you Grand Elder Urdin. I don't mind being attended here as it would make everything easier."
'Constantine' put a salesman smile on his face while he continued "You see, the reason I came here today was according to Her Majesty Camille's will to make her kingdom flourish. As her advisor, she took my words into account as she send me here for the first step towards her goal." 'Constantine' took a pause to watch the elders and the other dwarfs and see if they kept up with him. Seeing the death pan expression in the Grand Elder face, he chuckled inwardly as he continued.
"Having heard of your great work and seen it with my own eyes during my stay in Her Majesty palace, I came here in order to task you with the work of providing tools and workforce in order to make the firsts buildings in this place. Her Majesty wished to put you in work after so long, so I hope there's no problems regarding this." He slightly nodded his head at the Grand Elder.
The latter frowned slightly at 'Constantine' words, as previously, he remembered hearing his subordinates that came to surface back then, saying that Camille has prohibited them to put a foot on the mountain. At first, they were afraid that she could came at any moment to kick them out of their city. But after a few days with nothing going on, they decided to have guards watching the entrance of their city, in order to make them know if something changed or Camille decide to pay a visit on them.
They didn't wanted to leave this mountain, as after so many generations living below it, they grew attached to it. And knowing that they did not fulfilled they part of the deal, having not patrolled the surroundings and provided Camille with whatever she wished for, he knew that he couldn't have any say if she were to come and demand something.
So, with a wry grimace, the Grand Elder answered 'Constantine'. "Of course there's not problem with it, tell me what you exactly need and we will try to provide it, in regards of the workforce, a few youngsters are in need to put their skills on use."
Hearing the Grand Elder Urdin words, Constantine smile brightly.
"They will be welcomed to polish their skills here on surface to marvel with their work whoever may came to this land. Regarding the tools, we are in need of all kinds, but this could wait, as only your people would be working on here, but I would be in need of weapons for me, I would incur on this later on. Regarding the buildings, first of all it would be better if you make something here, so it would be easier to communicate between us, having a few of your people taking turns."
Hearing Constantine words, Grand Elder Urdin nodded, as only the underground zone of the entrance was slightly worked and build it on. He shared his think that there was a need for a few building surrounding it, as after the past incursion against Camille, he thought that there was no longer the same safety as before.
"After having done that, there are a few poorly builded facilities on the entrance of the mountain and near the lake. I will try to make a blueprint of the buildings that I would require, as it would be easier to get an understanding between us. Once you all finished all this work I will come to you again in regards of the next steps to follow, I hope I don't sound too bossy as I intend to make you prosper beside us. I trust in your work hand so that is why I request so much." Constantine give him a light smile. He knew he asked too much to them, but he was also aware of their situation.
After so much time without fulfill their part of the agreement, they weren't in place to say something to him. Also what he requested to them wasn't nothing too demanding. He only worried about that being him the one asking them, could give some troubles. As he didn't thought that Camille would "ask" them so cordially.
After nodding his head, the Grand Elder answered to Constantine as the latter expected. Both of them reaching an agreement that in the next three days they would be building around the entrance.
Constantine also was promised to have taking his measures after the Svaltars have builded what they called "surface barrack's". He was joyful after hearing their words, as handmade weapons and armor, just for him, would undoubtedly will help him.
After having finished his affairs with them, Constantine headed back to the mountain. Not minding Arad remarks about his lack on proper standing.
Constantine thought that there was no need in asking too much to the Svaltars, as after they began to work together he could build a good relationship with them and anything he could want, would be possible for him, so waiting for a few weeks or months wasn't a problem for him.
After reaching the entrance, Constantine was welcomed by the sight of Camille in her Dragon form. After a briefly inquire about the results of his visit at the Svaltars, Constantine told her that for the time being, she have to restrain in lashing her anger towards the workers that would have to came.
He also told her his decision about changing his name as 'Constantine' only to receive a mock from her and still being called Simon. He sighed towards her behavior, as he still remembered the previous day words from her, seeing that she acted so sassy he could only accept it and wait until she took his words seriously.
It was then that Camille changed her tone to a more serious one as she said to Constantine.
"The little girl is more open about the idea of meet you, it was hard to make her understand that you wouldn't hurt her. But after assuring her that nothing would happen she accepted, I'm telling you this because I would make you take responsibility for saving her. After you two meet together I hope she can start to follow you around, as I just wanted to laze around, are we clear?" She looked at him sternly as she asked him.
Constantine chuckled as he said to her.
"aren't you ashamed for telling me that you want to laze around? It's not like you were having a bad time with her, right?"
Camille snorted and with an angry tone she said to him.
"I take back my words, seeing you acting like this is all I need to know that you aren't too aware of what's going on. I thought that it would be good for her having met the person who jumped in her 'rescue' but now I see it would be a waste of time. I want to remind you that the little girl just passed an horrible experience." With those words, Camille let her aura push violently Constantine to the ground, as she disappeared from his view.
Constantine tried to get up, only to hear Arad sighing while saying to him.
"You need to grasp better the situation, even if you only wanted to joke about, it's not the right time. Camille has been together with that little girl for two days straight, she has probably understood her state of mind, and it probably affected her. Even if she was a dragon, she also has feelings and emotions, hearing you talk like it wasn't too much being around that girl had probably made her react that way." Arad shook his head as he thought that Constantine probably need to pass a lot of things until he could improve his personality.
The latter stayed on the ground as he looked at the floor profoundly, thinking about what Arad said. He knew that Camille wasn't in the mood to take things slightly regarding that little girl. But he didn't thought that she would have take it so bad. Sighing about his lack of insight about reading the mood, he get up and cleaned his tattered pants. Then he started to walk outside the cave, to watch again the sunset.
"It's hard to maintain a good mood all the times, I guess faking my emotions too much would only burden me a lot more." With another sigh he touched his belly, as his stomach was asking him to eat something.
This new life of him wasn't as pleasant as the novels and animes make it look. With tired look in his eyes, he headed back again to the mountain foot to reach the lake, planning to bath after eating a few fruits and mushrooms.
After eating his 'dinner', Simon was sitting at the lake shore, watching the two full moons in the sky reflection on the lake. On his surroundings there were insects that emitted light, making the scene in front of him as one of movies. He was enjoying the peaceful and beautiful sight while he hum a song.
After a long time he decided that it was time head back, but he was interrupted when he heard sounds in the far. The blood drained from his face as he thought that the adventurers were back. He didn't waste time as he said "Camille, you can see them right?"
Only to hear the cold voice of Camille on his ear.
"I can't see anything, only bodies"

8 212The Lies They Told Me: Short stories from my life
Like many of my peers, I've discovered that life is not quite what I expected it to be. As I age, I've begun to find that many of the sayings and truths that my parents, authority figures, and friends have passed on to me were outright lies. Every person I know has been subject to the same interactions, which got me thinking, why not write a compilation of stores about my life experiences to date. I hope that this book will help all of us come to terms with the realities that we face today or deal with some of our deepest feelings about the past. Maybe these people lied to us and maybe they honestly believed the myriad of things they told us, but either way I think we can have a good laugh looking back and remembering the first times that we realized these things weren't true. I also hope that you can look back at the lies, or life lessons, that you've learned and can be inspried to own your stories and share them with others in a genuine way. Wiithout further ado, I hope that you enjoy the many short stories of my life that made me who I am today. These stories range from funny to down right surrel, so good luck on your journey!
8 89Oublivant
Oublivants: a category of dungeons characterised by the antithesis of life, necrosis. "Dungons as a whole tend towards the lethal side when it comes to exploring them; however, an oublivant actively seeks out destruction on a grand scale. No greater example of their deep hatred for life exists than the very first discovery of an oublivant. It was a massive dungeon spanning miles in all directions. It continuously expanded along the surface, so fast you could see it, and left nothing but a scorched, withered wasteland in its wake. Wherever the oublivant resides, nothing but the undead exist, as all living life has been eradicated. Why it is, exactly, the oublivant seem so against life so as to break the passive rule dungeons have is unknown. What is known, however, is that they're a threat that, upon discovery, is to be immediately eliminated." - Archomagus Addiom Onero, Court of VascilNote: This is my first story on royal road. It'd be nice if you were nice... nicely.
8 172Whims and Rolls of Gods
What happens when one creates a story then leaves everything to chance? Thousands of paths stretch out endlessly that separate into even more, countless paths. And then, all but one is destroyed with a single roll of a twenty-sided die. The die becomes the true author while the writer just provides possibilities then takes a backseat and narrates. This story will be random. To save time, the characters and some of the events will be somewhat generic, but past that all bets are off. It will create tropes and then shatter them. Characters can and will die. Even the writer doesn’t know how this story will play out. The die is the god of this world that rolls and everything it says goes. The writer is the god of this world whose whims become reality after the die rolls. Cover art was done by PrimalAvatar from INKed.
