Chapter 96 - Arc 12 - The God Eater - Part 9
Saturday 19th of June - unknown dimension:
In a white dimension, Emily appeared angrily.
"How long are you going to take, you worthless one?!?!"
The Nameless One, who was holding many forms of energies between his palms. Currently, this God of Destruction was constructing a new form of energy.
"I am the God of Destruction, not the God of Creation."
"I regret to inform you of this now, human, but my control over my own creation has… weakened," the Supreme One added.
Emily frowned heavily.
"We know who to blame for everything. The great destroyer and creator,” The Nameless One added.
Emily clicked her tongue.
"I am always the second, huh?" She muttered.
She sat down on a bench made of light which did not exist mere moments ago.
"What if Arosus noticed you?" she asked restlessly.
"You shielded us."
Emily gritted her teeth.
"Why is everyone so reckless around me? Why can't you do as you are told?" she said loudly in an angry tone.
"It's funny," Aiht said as he appeared from thin air. "The oldest beings in existence are being ordered around by a human."
Emily clicked her tongue.
"Shut it."
"Are you ready, Name--"
Aiht let out a heavy sigh.
"Can I call you something else instead?"
"Yeah, Nameless One is too long and just feels weird when you address the person face to face," Emily added.
She sounded a little annoyed.
"We will call you Bob from now on."
“Why Bob? What does it mean? Where did it originate from? A simple name but I feel like it holds a lot of meaning.”
Seeing the curious look on Aiht’s face, she frowned.
“It’s just a joke. There used to be a cartoon I watched when I was young. It was called Bob the Builder.”
“Cartoon?”
“It’s… It’s kind of hard to explain. When you go to Earth, just absorb the information.”
“I see… I will be back in a--”
“No! Dude, you can’t just go to Earth. If that guy notices, you are dead meat.”
“That is true. But I can mask myself.”
With a determined look, he clenched his fist.
“I must know what cartoon is!”
And just like that, Aiht vanished into thin air.
Emily let out a heavy sigh as she looked at the Nameless One.
“Why is it that you powerful people don’t do anything useful with your powers?”
The Nameless One ignored her.
Being ignored, she rolled her eyes and then looked at the Supreme One who was meditating opposite her.
“Also, did you say you are weak now? But your power levels are the same as before?”
“I am still as powerful as I was but I have lost control of my existence to your human friend. I cannot make changes to my very own creation. Or save it when needed.”
“That cunt!!” clenching her fist, she said angrily as her veins popped in anger.
“It was bound to happen any time soon. Originally, it was my plan to lose my position to my child, Michael. I have grown far more powerful ever since I have lost my position, but I lost my control over my own creation.”
Confused, Emily asked a question.
“Why did you want to give up your position?”
“To grow more powerful,” said the Supreme One honestly. “Giving up my position to him meant I had more time to grow more powerful. Without any restrictions to my plan, I could reach the state I always aimed at.”

“I hear a but coming.”
“The Dragon. Ikeiss, the Eternal.”
The Nameless One looked at Emily.
“Who is he?”
Feeling their eyes fixated on her, she tilted her head in a confused manner.
“Why are you asking me?”
“You seem to know more about certain subjects than us.”
In annoyance, Emily scratched her head.
“I only remember a few things from when you stole Arosus and took over me. I remember like five things. Not a lot. I wish I did though.”
“I see… I apologise for that.”
“You don’t get to apologise now. It’s too late for apologising. Should have stopped yourself for making me in the first place.”
“But of course, if it were not for me, you would have not existed.”
Emily’s cheek twitched in anger as she narrowed her eyes.
“You would have not felt these emotions. You would not met your mother or your father or your brother. You would have not experienced the beauty of life itself.”
“Tell that to your precious creation. I did not need any of those--”
“Which is why I am doing this. I am sorry for everything so far, so let me...”
He stood up as he smiled widely.
“Take your burden away.”
“...Huh?”
“You are the anchor of time itself. From what you told us recently, every time this enemy destroys time, you feel a tremendous amount of pain.”
“And how are you going to take the pain away?”
“I can’t. But what I can do is get rid of future pain. I am not the all omnipotent God as your friend is.”
“Tch. So, you are telling me you no longer long for omnipotence?”
She looked at the Supreme One.
“What about you?”
“Our understanding of ultimate Godhood was… basic. We did not understand what was above us. We still do not.”
“So, we do not care about it anymore. It’s pointless to try and achieve absolute power. We will never be able to outpace the true God.”
“Yes, Nazar. The Ultimate God,” Emily added in a mocking tone. “Sometimes I am glad he was the one reached that place and not you.”
She looked at the Nameless One and then the Supreme One.
“Or you. Or anyone else.”
“...”
The Nameless One kept quiet for a short while.
“Forget that, when are you going to restore time? I had Nazar Prime take over and stole the power of millions of Nazars from across the multiverse… So, what are you waiting for?”
He stretched his neck.
“I was hoping that I will prolong it for a little longer. I need to know what the Dragon said in his message. I think it is important.”
“Message?” Emily widened her eyes in surprise. “What message?”
Nameless One’s finger twitched and Emily started to hear a buzzing noise.
“Wh… What is that?”
“That’s the message. In a language that is incomprehensible to us. Even Aiht struggles to comprehend it completely.”
Emily was still not sure what they were talking about.
“I wish I had more time to hear the message. But...”
His form changed.
“I need to save the very creation I once swore to destroy.”
With his white hair and red eyes, he looked at the Supreme One and nodded.
“How will you save it? If what this human said is true,” the Supreme One pointed at Emily with his chin, “It will just give this mysterious enemy of us more chances to redo their plan.”

“But of course, I have already taken it into account. I will make sure this enemy does not get another chance and save this existence of ours.”
“Ours?”
The Supreme One chuckled.
“It’s my creation’s creation. So--”
“How. Exactly. Are. You. Going. To. Do. It?”
Seeing the serious look on Emily’s face, the Supreme One added, “From what she said, this enemy of ours will figure out a way and use it against us.”
The Nameless One smiled proudly.
“From what Emily said, and analysing their attack frequency… I will say they are looking for a specific time frame. Look at all the dead timeline. Emily, please.”
Emily raised her palm.
“See the time of their attacks and when they resets it,” the Nameless One continued as he looked at the energy construct Emily made, which showed sequences from the dead timelines. “There is a pattern here.”
Emily widened her eyes as she realised something.
“They attack at around March of 2021 - Earth time. And their attacks usually end in August of the same year.”
“She… The Queen--”
“The Queen?!”
“The Queen?!”
Seeing the surprised looks on their faces, Emily frowned.
“I don’t have many details but she is referred to as a Goddess or the Queen. Moving on.”
The Supreme One and the Nameless One exchanged glances and then moved on from the conversation.
“When she resets-- More like destroy time, it depends. Sometimes, the destruction stops in early 2021 while some other times, it stops in the late 90s.”
“Exactly! So, if we take that into account, I can restore time a few months later.”
Emily looked around in confusion.
“You will feel the effects of it on the first day of 2022 - Earth time.”
“But it will only work if she does not destroy the multiverse again before 2022, right?”
The Nameless One nodded.
“The future, for now, will be empty. There is nothing ahead until the first day of 2022.”
“I see…”
Emily did not grasp the concept fully.
“But that means... Nazar has to defeat her before then, right?”
“Yes. If their battle goes for longer, our plan can fail. She will be able to destroy time freely forever without limits.”
“She must be defeated before then,” said the Supreme One in a serious tone.
“Yes. I leave everything to you, old enemy.”
He smiled as he looked at Emily.
“I apologise for everything until now. Because of my selfishness, I made yours and Nazar’s life a living hell.”
“Why are you talking…!!”
Emily stood up in reflex as she realised what was going on.
“You mean...”
“Yes,” he said as he slowly vanished. “It’s time for me to leave the stage.”
Emily, confused looked at the Supreme One.
“...Huh?”
The Supreme One’s finger twitched and Emily found herself on Earth.

"Just a little more."
Outside of the Ultraverse, the Nameless One flew through the never-ending darkness.
“There is something… Something that is pushing me back.”
Pushing through the maelstrom of darkness, he grunted in pain.
“Emily mentioned a multiversal barrier which…”
He let out a sigh as he failed to come up with an answer regarding the purpose of this barrier.
“I wish she would give us more details.”
Despite the pain, he smiled.
“It is funny. How the creation outdid their creators.”
The Nameless One and the Supreme One has been around for hundreds of billion years. But this is the first time he has come this far.
So, he looked back at the light behind him.
For billions of years, he has tried to destroy this multiverse for pitiful reasons.
But for once…
“It’s so tiny… and beautiful.”
He admitted it. He finally realised that he wasted all this time for nothing.
"If only…"
Regret. It is one of the heftiest emotion these powerful beings feel. Spending most of their life to gain more power or tries to destroy the multiverse.
"I could reverse time… but that would be pointless now. It's too late for that."
But when the end nears, they regret everything.
“For my final trick, I will save your universe, my precious creation.”
And so, the God of Destruction smiled as he released all of those energies.
The limitless energies flew towards the multiverse and something was changed.
Aiht, with Emily’s help, had made sure that these energies will stay hidden from the likes of the Queen and Nazar. And even Arosus.
“I will restore what I destroyed.”
As the energies left him and restored time itself, the Nameless One groaned in pain as he slowly started to vanish.
“I guess this is the end.”
Without his power, he is nothing. He doesn’t even have a physical form to keep him alive.
Pushing through the maelstrom of the darkness, the Supreme One caught up to him.
“Here to see… me die?”
“I wouldn’t miss it. I have waited for this moment for aeons.”
The Nameless One laughed as his form slowly disappeared.
“I wish I could hear what the Dragon said-- !!”
His eyes widened.
“No… Is this real?”
Before he died, he learned something.
“So, this is what the message meant, huh?”
“What are you saying, Destroyer?”
Most of his body had already disappeared.
“So many… So many… Ah. Omnipotence really does not seem that good, after all. We wasted-- Who is she...?!?! No… It can’t be...”
Seeing the surprise on his face, the Supreme One tried to probe the Nameless One’s mind but something was pushing him back.
“Who, Destroyer? Who is this… Is it this unknown enemy?”
Ignoring the questions of the Supreme One, the Nameless One forced a bitter smile with his dying breath. A smile full of regrets, sadness, disappointment, anger. A defeated smile.
“I wish it… was different.”
And so, he vanished forever, never to be seen again.
“Damn it,” the Supreme One sounded annoyed.
Looking around, he couldn’t sense the Nameless One anywhere.
He looked at the multiverse from this far.
“He did manage to save it.”
The supreme creator of the Ultraverse clenched his fist in anger. His anger was directed at his own incompetence. His greatest villain saved his very creation for him.
“I assume, I will be the next one sacrificing myself.”
He chuckled in disappointment.
“I always wanted more power, but it has come to a point where I will sacrifice myself to keep my children and creation alive.”
It was truly a pathetic life. Living most of his life trying to gain omnipotence but maybe, just maybe, if they used their power for something else or tried to pursue another goal, then life would not have been as meaningless as it is now.
“To give meaning to this life, I will help save my… our creation. Lucifer, Michael, Nazar, Esme, Emily, Azazel and more… I will try to save all of them. Or at least try.”

In a place no one knows about, the Queen stretched her arms tirelessly.
“Welcome back...”
In front of her, lied a beast.
This beast had teeth that resembled orcs, white eyes that resembled a Griffin, a big nose that resembled a Unicorn, two horns that resembled the demons, ears that resembled the dwarves, and a face shape that resembles a gorilla. The beast had legs that resembled a werewolf and arms that resembled the Fenrir. Its body was covered in hair completely. It had long and wavy hair on its head.
“God Eater.”
As the God Eater growled, this dark dimension shook to its core.
“Though, you failed, the mission itself was not a failure.”
The Queen glanced at a floating ball of energy at her side.
“You brought me a lot of power. So, good job.”
“I… I am thankful for your praise, my lady.”
“I have a new job for you.”
She smiled.
“With your new powers and upgrades… I want you to find the man called £”$%!!”[email protected]”
Unsurprisingly, the beast did not understand.
"Oh right, you guys can't comprehend our language or names," she let out a sigh. “Ikeiss, the Eternal. The Dragon.”
“I do not… Ah.”
Suddenly, new information was added to his mind.
“I will find him, my lady.”
The God Eater bowed before the Queen of Virrasil.
“Good.”
As the beast vanished into thin air, another person entered.
“So, what brings you here?”
"I have been assessing your progress. This is the final chance you are going to get. But I do not think you can make it. I do not think you will win. If you destroy time once more, this Ultraverse will be gone forever."
"I know that. However," she smiled thinly, "you can make it from scratch. Exactly the same as it was."
"Hm, of course. But it messes around with my plans. Furthermore, he will notice it's not the same. The emotional game we are playing with him will be useless."
"Right…" she sounded bored.
"The previous time, we destroyed that because he was further away from romantic relationships. In the new timeline, I manipulated Bur'Goth into doing something even more dramatic and evil than before. It pushed him into a place where he admitted he was God."
Her eyes opened widely.
"That dramatic event spawned a new personality within him - as I had planned for. The new personality wanted him to become God again. And to do that, it made him more open towards the idea of romance."
"Wait…"
"He wanted to use that idea as a way to hurt him and force him into Godhood."
"You are not blaming this on me now, are you?"
"Of course, I am. He paved a perfect path for us. And yet you failed to do what was necessary. You failed to make him dance on your plan."
She clicked her tongue.
"When in emotional distress, the wall between his personalities become very weak. You can manipulate those personalities then. But you failed to do that."
"Because his immunity to my powers has grown, thanks to that other human!"
Angrily, she stood up and stood face to face with this other person.
"You could only manipulate and control that personality for just a second. I hate to admit this, but you are in a league of your own. So, why don't you do it yourself?!"
"Because I have my very own tasks," compared the angry Queen, this man spoke in a calm voice. "I wish I could destroy this Ultraverse to have him reach that position, but sadly, we have not found the Dragon yet. We will need to wait."
She let out a sigh.
"What about the other weapon?"
"Ah, nevermind her. She will be ready when the time comes."
"I see… I trust you will deliver that at least."
She rolled her eyes.
"Have you understood his line of thinking yet?"
She shook her head.
"Though I have gotten close to him, I still do not understand the way he thinks. It's hard."
"I know how he thinks. But if you were to understand it by yourself, it would be much better and beneficial in the long run."
"Plus, his line of thinking changes often," she added. "I always keep that in mind."
"Remember, if you fail this time, we are done. I will kill you. Understand?"
She bit her lip in anger as she nodded.
"Good."
