Chapter 97 - Arc 12- The God Eater - Part 10
In this multiverse of infinite universes, there is an old and forgotten tale. A tale of the old Gods.
Long, long ago, there were Gods. Every civilisation had their very own Gods. They would pray to those Gods of theirs. Their prayers powered up these Gods. And in return, they made the lives of these mortals a little easier.
If civilisation was under siege, their Gods will rise up to the challenge and keep them safe.
It was the natural order of the universe.
Mortals and immortals living together.
But someone, somewhere up in the faraway skies, clicked his tongue.
“The Gods must die.”
The Supreme One, the being who created this Ultraverse did not like this.
For billions of years, he had complete control over his creation. He made and unmade the concepts as he pleases. He looked at these concepts the same way a child looks doodles on a piece of paper. If the apple is not drawn well, the child will erase it and try drawing a banana. And endless cycle like this continued.
However, recently this supreme creator noticed an imbalance.
The very concepts he had designed were being manipulated by these Gods.
He did not like that.
A game developer would not like someone else tampering with their work. This supreme creator felt the same.
"Why did I create them?"
A simple experiment.
He wanted the Gods to exist in the same worlds as the mortals. Will they battle? Who will win? And how?
However, the Gods and mortals found harmony.
It went against the Supreme One's plan.
This was supposed to be a test to see which mortal had the potential to reach greater heights. If the said mortal reached a state higher than the Supreme One, he would manipulate them into giving him the power he needs.
Or perhaps he will use it against the Nameless One.
"Failure."
With the prayer of the mortals, the Gods gained more and more power. They found abilities which allowed them to manipulate the gameboard and these concepts.
He doesn't need peace. He doesn't need harmony. He needs capable players to reach higher states.
However, everyone has disappointed him so far. The players are not playing the game in the way it was intended. The players are “cheating”.
The great God of this creation let out a disappointed sigh.
“Michael.”
Above heaven, both the Supreme One and Michael floated.
“Do you understand, right?”
“Which Gods?”
“All of them. Begin with the strongest, the Quantum Goddess.”
Michael’s eyes widened slightly.
“Yes, the one who can challenge me. My biggest mistake, perhaps.”
The Quantum Goddess. A Goddess who went too far too quickly. Her powers increased significantly over time.
“Here.”
In front of Michael floated an artefact of great power.
It was a small artefact that resembled the Holy Grail. It was made from purple and white energy. The inside of the artefact was pitch black.
“Absorb them into this.”
Michael took the artefact and looked into it.
“!!”
However, he immediately averted his gaze.
“A Multiverse with infinite universes and dimensions. A multiverse with eight planes of existence. I cannot let someone like the Quantum Goddess ruining my game board.”
“... I will do it.”
“The Quantum Goddess is not like most other Gods. Her power is superior to all the other Gods.”
The artefact vanished from Michael’s hand. He stored it elsewhere.
“Every second, new universes comes into creation. Every decision someone makes, it creates a new universe. When someone changes time, it creates a new universe. But...”

“With the increase in the power of the Gods, it can cause Celestial imbalance, right?”
“Exactly. With enough power, they can manipulate these universes on a bigger scale. I do not want that to happen.”
“Then what about the cosmic beings? Should I not kill them too?”
There was silence for a moment. The Supreme One fell silent as he thought.
“No, the Gods are not integral to the creation as these cosmic beings are. Killing them will cause the very Celestial imbalance which we want to prevent.”
“Of course, we can always fix this imbalance,” said Michael with a prideful smile on his face.
“But we would rather avoid the problem instead.”
Michael took a deep breath.
“Sure, I will kill the Gods for you.”
“And create something else in return. Something… controllable.”
Michael nodded and vanished into thin air only to appear in front of the Quantum Goddess.
Inside a light blue universe, Michael appeared.
All around him was nothing but a universe made of light blue energy.
“MICHAEL… I SEE, MY DEATH HAS COME!”
A voice that came from every direction, startled Michael.
Her artificial like voice can be heard everywhere in this empty universe rich with energy.
“BUT WHY?”
“Simply, my master requires it.”
“I SEE. GOD DOES NOT WANT ME TO GROW STRONGER, DOES HE?”
“No, I am afraid he does not want you to grow stronger than him one day.”
“BUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR POWER IS--”
“I know that. But you exist throughout time and space of our existence. Every second, new universes come into creation and you have been leaving your seeds into it. Your influence over the creation is becoming greater by each passing second. You are everywhere and everywhen at once. Even the higher dimensional planes of existence are not hidden from you.”
“EVEN THEN, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR POWERS IS GREAT.”
“Yes, you are correct. But you are pure energy that can bring about the end of the multiverse and more. Your power grows stronger by each passing day. If you are left alive any longer, you could perhaps become the very multiverse itself.”
The Quantum Goddess kept quiet.
It was not her fault. She grew more and more powerful without her control.
“But if your powers increase any further, you will be battling Lucifer for being the embodiment of the multiverse. And that could bring about the end of everything. So...”
The artefact appeared in front of Michael.
“I am sorry, but this is your end. You grew more powerful than you should have.”
As the artefact lit up, Michael squinted his eyes.
(So bright...)
“I WILL……”
“It’s futile to fight, Goddess. You cannot fight it. None of the Gods will survive.”
Before the Quantum Goddess could say something, Michael spoke.
“There are many Gods like you who have grown too powerful for your own good. So… Die!”
“NOOOOOOOO--”
“DIE!”
And just like that, the Quantum Goddess died.
She died and was turned into pure energy.
Michael absorbed the energies of the universe into the artefact, leaving a dark, lifeless and empty universe.
“Now onto the other Gods...”
Michael went around the multiverse and killed all the Gods. Their energies were absorbed into the artefact.
The Supreme One smiled in the skies far away. The bugs were taken care of.
To replace the old Gods and bring balance to the system once more, Michael used the combined energies of the artefact to create something new.
“The Third Dimensional Gods. Each universe will have their new Gods. They will be called the Omega People. They will live on a planet called Planet Omega. This planet will occupy space in many dimensions at once.”

As Michael said these words with a thin smile, the energy released from the artefact travelled to these infinite universes. In every universe, the new race of Gods was created.
The Third Dimensional Gods.
“They will be the weaker versions of the Angels. They will bring balance to the respective universes.”
Manipulating the reality of the multiverse, everyone - including the angels and demons - forgot about the existence of the Gods.
“This will become the main reality. The old reality is dead.”
No one remembered it. It never happened in this reality.
Just a fraction of that stolen power was used to create the Third Dimensional Gods.
“The rest...”
(Shall be mine.)
The Supreme One took the artefact from him. He took it to his own dimension.
But that was part of Michael’s plan. One day, Michael will stand above the supreme being of this existence. But to reach that place, he stole the power of the Supreme One, the Third Dimensional Gods, the Sixth Dimensional Gods and other beings.
However, that is a story only a few remembers.
Reaper, the assassin is one of the few who remembers both of these stories.
Sitting on top of a small asteroid, Reaper looked at the empty space before him.
“I always remembered the original timeline… but these new pieces of memories...”
It was not long ago that Reaper unlocked new memories. Since he already knew about the original timeline, he unlocked a different set of memories.
"The universe of Gods… Ah, so that's why…"
Before the Quantum Goddess died, she did something.
She created a place called the Quantum Realm. A dimension full of energy that's not known to many. A place that existed throughout the Multiverse.
The angels and the Gods treated it as another extra-dimensional energy.
However!
"A fighting chance against the old system."
The Quantum Goddess created this dimension and chose people worthy to carry this power in the future.
People who will cheat the system and reach greater heights to battle against the tyrant known as the Supreme One.
"I am the…"
But that was not enough, so she created one more person. A special person.
"Successor."
The successor of the Quantum Goddess. To hold her knowledge and then command the power at its best, she created a successor.
"Galax of Hyperion Prime," she said to him a long time ago.
On the scientifically advanced planet of Hyperion Prime, a young boy known as Galax saw the face of a female who was made from energy.
"You are the chosen one."
However, that knowledge was soon lost to the boy because reality changed. The Gods never existed. Naturally, the Quantum Goddess did not exist either.
"I finally remember," he said as he let out a sigh. "But it's too late. You no longer have to worry about the supreme creator. There is a new one. He is different now."
Her mission was implanted in his mind. Fight against the Supreme One and betray the game board.
"So, that's what Weq meant?"
And so the emotionless face of Reaper changed as a smile appeared on it.
"I understand fully now."
Away from this mortal, Lucifer in his dimension thought about the recent events when someone appeared next to him.
"Ah, did your Goddess fail you so you came to me for help?"
The other person laughed.
"So, what happened with Arosus?"
"Nothing. It was a failure."
"I see… Are you not going to ask me about her? About this unknown enemy?"
Lucifer looked back at this tall brown-haired and browned eyed man.
"You won't give me an answer, Michael. So, it's pointless."
"That is true, brother."
"Brother, huh?"
Lucifer chuckled.
"Does that concept even apply to us?"
"Perhaps."
"Why have you come here, Michael?"
"Just wondering if Arosus did what was asked of him?"
"...No."
Michael smiled in a relieved manner.
"This battlefield is a little too small for him. We don't get to shine if he had helped."
Lucifer narrowed his eyes.
"You always want to shine, don't you? It's always glory you want and gets, isn't it?"
Michael shrugged in a prideful manner.
"What can I say? At one point I was stronger than you. So, I think my glory is earned."
Lucifer let out a laugh which made Michael's body jump.
"You? More powerful than me?"
Michael smiled stiffly.
“With every passing second, a new universe comes into the creation and my power grows. Even when you first achieved your Archangel position, you were no match for me. I merely did not want to release my real power.”
“You laughing is creepy. Please stop doing that.”
Lucifer’s face became serious again.
“Anyway, I recently found an interesting universe. A universe that’s hidden from everyone.”
“Ah. That one. It’s interesting, isn’t it?”
“I remember killing all the Gods.”
“I created that universe around 20,000 years ago.”
“Why?”
Lucifer turned his back to Michael looked at the blue sea before him.
“Earth… It was supposed to be different. Gods were to exist there.”
“But the Supreme One manipulated the world. Getting rid of its native Gods, it was instead invaded by the third dimensional Gods, am I wrong?”
Lucifer shook his head.
“Which is why I created that universe. My perfect vision for humanity and their Gods.”
Michael thought about it.
He found it weird.
“These Gods… It’s weird. I have seen them in fiction on Earth.”
“Ah, that...”
He looked back at Michael.
“I did not want my creation to go to waste. So, I connected Earths with this universe.”
Michael’s eyes widened.
“You don’t mean...”
Lucifer smiled thinly.
“Yes. They see them as fiction or mythology now but in the past, when people believed in them… They existed. Crossing the boundaries of the universes to help the people who believed in them.”
Michael sucked in a breath.
He felt a little angry that he nor the Supreme One noticed it all this time.
“Michael, I think you sometimes forget that...”
Seeing the glare in Lucifer’s eyes, Michael gulped immediately.
“I exist in a position that’s higher than you and the Supreme One. In my true form, you are nothing but ants to be stepped on.”
Michael felt like falling to his knees due to the pressure he was feeling.
“Don’t ever forget that, will you?”
Michael clenched his fist as he forced himself to stand.
“As for your current master… Next time you are licking their boots, tell them this...”
The blue skies turned red.
The water in the sea turned into lava.
The air turned into poison.
Flowers turned into deadly monsters.
Tornadoes of fire appeared.
“If you want to mess around with God, do so. If you want to try and kill him, do so. But I want you to avoid MY multiverse. My existence.”
Michael unleashed his wings.
The silver metallic wings covered all of his body from the incoming fire.
“You are strong. Stronger than me, even. But I am not a weakling, either. If it comes to it, I will do everything to save my existence. I will not let another pathetic creator comes and try to destroy us. Or rule over us.”
“Ngh,” Michael grunted as the fires burnt his wings slowly.
He did not realise it, but it was impossible until recently for his wings to get burnt.
He has bathed in pure hellfire and came out unscathed. He has bathed in suns and his wings were unaffected.
Yet, the fire Lucifer created started melting these wings.
“I am done pretending to be weak. So, if you try to destroy or harm my existence, I will not hold back. Understand?”
The dimension returned to normal.
Waving his hand, Lucifer restored Michael’s wings.
“Do you understand, Michael?”
“Yes...”
Michael’s wings retracted into his body.
But he noticed something.
“Why are my wings stronger than before?”
“Let’s just say it’s a gift, Michael.”
As a portal appeared behind Michael, it swallowed him.
“I need to prepare myself. I hate to say this...”
Lucifer bit his lip in anger.
“But I must grow stronger to protect everything.”
လလလ
“So, what did he say?”
“...I thought you were already listening?”
“Of course, I was. Just wanted you to repeat his message for me.”
Michael let out a heavy sigh.
The Queen giggled as Michael repeated the message to her.
“Interesting. Do you think he will prove troublesome to the plan?”
“Perhaps. His power grows every second. Perhaps-- Hrk!”
She moved faster than Michael could react.
He was being held up by his neck.
“Stronger than me? Hehehehehe. If you don’t want to die, Michael...”
He found it hard to breathe.
“Don’t even think about something like that again, got it?”
He forced his head and nodded.
“Y-Yes.”
She smiled.
“Good.”
Letting him go, Michael fell onto the ground.
He clenched his fist as he bit his lip.
“Oh right...”
She smiled brightly as a portal opened before her.
“It’s time to play dear.”
As the Queen left, Michael clicked his tongue.
“It’s how to see how far the mighty Michael has fallen,” said a being in a mocking tone.
Michael stood up.
“But I find it funny that an arrogant brat like you have been turned into… this. How do you feel about that?”
Michael looked down as he thought about his answer.
How does this prideful and arrogant leader of the angels feel about his current position?
He hates it. He loathes this position.
Swallowing his pride, he said, “As long as I get back my powers and repay that pathetic human… I don’t care.”
“Impressive.”
The other being came close to Michael.
“If I give you your powers now, would you still work for us? Would you still help us in this plan?”
“...Yes.”
“I believe you.”
Placing his hand on Michael’s shoulder, he felt a change.
“I will return your powers. Make sure to serve us well.”
Overflowing with power, Michael’s mouth stretched as it formed a smile.
“You will be able to serve us well now, Michael. I expect great things from you.”
As the person next to him vanished into thin air, Michael shot out his silver metallic wings.
And so, a silver metallic halo appeared over his head.
“It… It manifested,” he shouted out excitedly.
A long time ago, he lost his powers. Nazar got rid of his powers.
But even then, he would use magic to manifest a fake halo in order to trick people.
Being an angel, he had enough magical power to even fool demons.
“Yes!!”
The Archangel Michael is back.
But what will he do with this power?
