《The Queen of School》Euphemism

-W..Well if you help me I..I don't mind a little pain- What is wrong with his mind? And what in hell is he blushing for?!
-You say that you are the god of intelligence, and I don't know what, but you can distinguish the sarcasm in my voice- I think that the disdain could be clearly seen in my speech, but when I look at him and see him with that stupid look on him. I have no idea if he is faking it, or he is truly dumb.
-I have a question to ask you first. If I help you, and I am unable to find your "reliques" will this tattoo do something to me? You know that I am here since I got the last place in the whole school, right?- It would be a pain in my laziness if I HAD to help him, but if this thing endangers my existence that would be no joke.
-Eh? Ah! the mark in your arm. Oh, that is totally harmless. If you are unable to find it nothing will happen and it will only appear as a decoration, but in the case that you are able to find my body and powers, it would allow me to be able to change your fate by fulfilling one of your wishes. Cool right?- He said that in a totally relaxed manner, and at the end he even puffed his chest, and raised his chin. I don't know if it's me or his nose grew to be a mile long.
-....If this thing would do nothing bad to me, then why would I want to help you-
When I said that Enki's jaw opened as if he just realized that what he told me gave me a reason to refuse his plea. Truth to be told, it was a pretty funny face not for nothing he is the god of mischievousness.
-Well, if you excuse me I need to find where are all the books and the shelves and rearrange them. You can roam around the library for what I care, but only one thing. Under no circumstance do you dare to disturb me as you might have experienced early I can have a pretty bad temperament. Well, Cya- I said while leaning a little over him to make my point clear, then I turned around and waved my hand to him. But seriously where are the books. While I was talking with Enki I was searching throughout all the house, but I could not find even a piece of paper in the whole house. Is this really a library? Now what I am going to do when I get bored?

When I walked 10 or so steps, Enki finally woke up from his shock and appeared in front of me his face had an unnatural seriousness in it.
-This is your last chance. I offer you a deal. If you help me recover my anterior status I will tell you where the book, but if you don't, then...-
- . . . Then what?-

Narrator POV
****************
The sound disappeared. It was like there was deprived of it, to begin with. The temperature dropped drastically, but Raven seemed as she did not notice it at all. Her eyes were focused on Enki's and did not move from there. Even Enki as a God began to feel something that he had not felt in a long time, fear.
-...Let me tell you something. The thing that I hate the most, other than following orders, is to be threatened, and you just did that. You think that you are invincible since you have no physical body, but let me tell you this, for the entire world you could be totally invisible, but if I want you dead there is nothing that can stop me from seeing you breathe your last breath- Her voice was the same as freezing point. With every word that left her lips a dreadful aura began to create surrounding her and Enki.
-Eh?-
-Oh, no no no. How can you twist my words to that point? I just wanted to make an equal deal- Enki did not know why, but he began to panic. He was sure that if he were to be alive beads of sweat the size of beans would be dripping in his forehead. That was how much pressure he was under.
-Seems that even in the ancient times there were euphemism, well if we take into account that you are the God of Knowledge, there is nothing wrong that you know how to manipulate the way you speak- Her face was devoid of any emotion, but her eyes were full of killing intent.
-And since I don't think that words would convey message I would need to use a batter way of communication- Raven said as her hand reached her neck where a necklace with the shape of a waning moon was hanging.

Seeing that Enki got even more nervous. He did not know why, but he knew that if she reached that necklace bad thing would happen.
-WAIT! You can't, no you must not hurt me!- Enki said just before Raven touched the necklace. Raven's hand stopped, and her eyes fell of his.
-Why I mustn't? Or is it that you are ordering me?- Raven's tone got even colder, so Enki in a struggle for survival said -It's not like that. Let me finish first. I am telling you that you mustn't hurt me since the library is me, and I am the library. If I disappeared, the library would too- Raven stopped all movement, then her hand slowly began to go down. Enki seeing this let out a sight.
-That is why I told you that you would not be able to find the books withoutmy help, so of you want the books..
- Enki did not finishedwhen he saw that the cold expression in Raven'sface was returning and that her hand was nearing her neck again.
-Seriously let me finish. It's not what you think- letting out another sight he began to explain.
-Look around, do you see the conditions of the building? Well, in part is because I thought it would attract people, but the other reason it is like this is because I don't have enough power to maintain it anymore. Like you told me it has been 5,000 years since I was sealed, so the remains of my power are running out. I was sealed in this place; hence, I can not leave, but if you form a contract with me I would be able to, and by doing so I might find a way to recover some of my power to get out some books for you, but I am not a simple library since I am the God of knowledge you just need to think of a book and I will have it- Enki explained in a single breath to try to convince Raven for doing something that could endanger his existence.
-Enki...- when hearing his name coming out of her mouth, he felt a not in his throat.
-Why did you say so earlier? Let's do the contract or whatever. I promise you that I will make you have a physical body in less than four years!- Raven said happily. Her smile as blooming flowers was so different from her anterior expression that is seemed as if the Raven from a second ago was an illusion.
-...Oh, to make the contract is pretty simple. You just need to put some of your blood in the mark; furthermore, since you would be in a contract with me your affinity with water would increase drastically. You could even said that it is now a part of your body-
Even though that Enki was explaining, Raven didn't seem to care as she bit her thumb finger untill blood was dripping from her finger and made an line going across the whole mark. When she finished, a light began to come out of the tattoo and evolved her completely. When the light ended her hair was no longer white, but a beautiful marine blue, and her eyes an exquisite turquoise.

8 200The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds
8 87Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.
8 118Cold Space, a LITRPG space story.
A Litrpg story that takes place in the future. Mankind has conquered the solar system at least digitally, and with 2 billion players in the game there are a lot of options for players. The only thing the Mc wants is to deal with the person who was instrumental in getting him banned from the game a year ago. He might have a chance if he can survive a out of control spaceship about to crash on an asteroid, a crazy pirate that wants him dead and a abandoned Russian secret base. Pretty rough for your first log in to the game.
8 163Evolve or DIE !!
It was like any other normal day on earth, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping. Everyone was busy doing their tasks, some were working, some were chatting while others were resting.Suddenly, the sky was lit up by thousands of blindingly bright lights coming towards the earth at an extremely fast speed. Seeing this, people all around the world woke up from their carefree attitude and immediately turned their attention towards the sky. Some were confused, some were scared while others just sat down and prayed silently but everyone knew that it was the sign of an impending disaster. What are these bright lights and who has caused this ? Is it a human ? Is it god ? Is it the devil ? Or is it something beyond our wildest imagination ?Warning: Tagged [15+] for gore, violence and strong language.P.S: This is the rewrite of my first novel so please go easy on this poor soul. ^_^. Infrequent updates so don't blame me later on that you do not update it often. Also the first few chapters are a bit short, however the later ones will be of reasonable sizes.P.P.S: Don't try to apply science to this novel, because it will not help and wherever it might be used, the MC can do it himself.__________________________________________________________________________Side Info : This is not another novel with an OP MC, the MC will not get overpowered anytime soon, so if you want to read an OP novel, you've come to the [wrong place].
