《The Queen of School》Renovations

*Fuu~n*
-Finally the last one. Now, this can be called a library- Rows after rows of shelf's full of books. Have you ever thought of what a magic library would look like? Well, that is the exact aspect of the actual library. If you look towards the end of the library, you would only be able to see the rows of shelves become one with the Horizon, and if you look up, you could see the floors unite to the infinity.
And if you are wondering how from a cliche-horror-movie-setting looking place to a magical library, it was not the big deal. It when like this:
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
-Well, now this is eye catching- And embarrassing is what I wanted to say, but before I could say something Enki threw himself at me.
-Isn't it pretty?! Now we look similar and everyone will know that you are in a contract with me!- As he said that I don't know if it was because of blood loss (even though that I only lost a little bit) but I could see that his nose risen to the Heavens.
Yeah, I don't know why but it pisses me off a little, but still, I need to do something with this. It is too eye-catching.
I am I
You are you
I am you, but you are not me
From the beginning, I was alone without you
You in time of help will become me
In time of peace, I am me
Dream until the chaos comes to raise you from your sleep
Aquarius
After the spell, my hair began to lose color, and my eyes began to turn red again. In my wrist, another bracelet appeared, but this one is a turquoise color.
Seeing my transformation, Enki could not close his mouth. -Wh...What was that? Why you look exactly like you did before?-
It would look totally suspicious if out of nowhere there is a girl with blue hair [little did she know that she already made one big show at the entrance day when her hair turned white].
-Bu..but if your hair and eye color represent our contract. You wouldn't be able to annul it-

I tried to explain what just happen to him so his spectral face could gain the little color that it could.
-I didn't annul the contract, I just sealed that appearance since it would be pretty striking if people see that hair and eyes color when they already saw my white hair and red color- Hearing my explanation Enki breathed a sigh of relief.
-Well, now that everything is settled should, we began remodeling this wanna-be-hunted-house library. Classes begin in a week. We don't have much time- I turned to look at Enki, but for some reason, he was avoiding eye contact.
-...What happened?-
-Seems like you didn't pay me much attention when I told you that right now I don't even have the power to keep this place to even look like a library - He said it with a voice so low that I was barely able to hear him.
-.......WHAT.THE.F**K.ARE.YOU.SAYING?- So that means that everything until now was a bluff...
-In this world, there are few things that I hate, and you seem to know well how to piss me off. It seems like you truly hate living, don't you?- My patience was running out pretty fast...
-N..no no no no you got it wrong. Everything that I said was the thu...-
-Seems that being sealed for 5000 years affected your brain. You just said that you don't have the power to do it-
-Yeah, I said that- Before he could say any other thing I lost my calm, I reached for the pendant hanging around my neck and broke the chain. The moon-shaped pendant began to change form until a scythe appeared out of nowhere. It was absolutely black that absorbed the light surrounding it giving it a more surrealistic feeling. I put the blade at the back of his neck.
*gulp* -W...wait wait a minute plea..please!! I DO have the power to modify this building and to get any book that you can think of, but...- I pulled the blade nearer, so near that if I exert a little of force I might cut his neck since this scythe was not a simple weapon.

-IT'S JUST THAT AT THE MOMENT MY POWER IS TOO LOW, I DON'T THE NECESSARY POWER TO EVEN INVOKE A BOOK!!!!- He seemed to know his situation, so he rushed to explain himself.
-...Are you telling the truth?- After a period of silence, I asked.
-YES!!!! I am telling the truth, so if you want me to invoke any book or remodel this building, first we need to go for my power relique!- He looked so happy that tears were falling from his eyes.
I retracted my scythe; it automatically turned again to the moon-shaped pendant, and it wrapped around my neck as if nothing happened.
-So if you had powers you will be able to do all the things you said?-
-Yes, that and more. Those were examples of what I am truly capable of, but right now, I am unable to use my powers-
-...so if you obtained power from another source will it still be useful to you?-
-Well, yeah. To some extent, it will, but I will be unable to use my more useful powers like manipulating water or combat-related- Mmmm I just got a good idea.
-Give me your hand- As I said to Enki, he seemed to be traumatized since he hid his hand as fast as I said to give it to me.
-I promise I will not hurt you- I said trying to calm him.
-For my soul- It was not until I said that that Enki extended his hand, but he looked like a kid that was that was going to get a shot. It was kinda cute.
I ~~~~~~~
Giveth some of my power to thee
By breaking heaven law
A punishment must be given
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Enki shined and he was now little more visible, but in my comparison, I was ghostly pale.
-What did you just do?- Enki looked me directly in the eyes, and I could see that he was totally serious.
*Huff*Huff* -It's nothing much I just...I just gave you some of my power- Fuu~n that was more exhausting than I thought. It has been a long time since the last time that I shared part of it.
-But this doesn't make sense! How is it that a mere human is able to lend some of their power to a God-
-Well, didn't I just do it? It not the big deal. Let me rest a little bit and then we can begin to remodel the library- I sat down in a chair that I found near by.
/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
After a couple of minutes later, we began to organize the library having by result what the library looks like now.
Obviously, we did not put book by book. It was mostly me naming the names of books that I already read or want to read and Enki materializing them. Did you think that I would put book by book on each shelf of a fantasy-like library? If you did you are totally and absolutely crazy. Who would want to do that?
But like some kind of ceremony I put the last book on the shelf.
I found something interesting. Since I have a contract with Enki I am able to travel to whatever part of the library that I want, ban whoever I want, and they will not be able to enter. I truly did not expect that. That was an unexpected and well-received bonus.
Enki comes to me and looked like he was thinking about something. -What happened? In what are you thinking?-
Enki looks at me and tells me. -If I am already able to do what you wanted me to do, then when are you going to help me find the relique? You said that you were going to help me find them in this four years...-
I smirked. -Yeah, I said that I was going to find your reliques in the next four years, but did I said that I was going to go find them right now?-
-...- Sweet revenge. It is always better served hot.
The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat!
