《Cornucopia of Hope》Interlude (Profiles)

Roxxy is recognizable as the Lin Manuel Miranda of Stage Magic. She single handedly has taken magicians from performers at rich kid's birthday parties to performers on the world stage. In person, she's bubbly and maybe a bit ditzy, but smarter and more confident than others might assume.

Masanori is famous for costuming celebrities at events like the Met Gala, in addition to his impressive work in science fiction movies. His designs are bold, adventurous, and are far closer to elaborate costumes than any kind of day wear. He's stayed out of the public eye--for good reason. He's a real dickhead with a clear victim complex.

PV may not be as famous as their peers at Hope's Peak Academy, but they're remarkably famous for a Vaporwave Artist. It's certainly uncommon for a vaporwave artist to be well known at all, much less featured in pop culture magazines and even the extremely unlikely radio time they've been given (something to do with family connections). In person, they're a bit distant and strange, but seem willing to entertain antics with a wry smile.

Aika's science is as elusive as her personality; what exactly she does she's unwilling to specify. Apparently, she doesn't give therapy to ghosts. Or maybe she does? It's hard to say. Discussions of her science on television always revolve around the morality and responsibility of her practice...in very negative ways, usually. She acts like a real jerk.

Kata Ama games are extremely popular, even outside the Otome genre. The AI, the storylines, and the complexity of the routes in which players romance the fictional characters have been praised by critics for years. Some of his more complex games have even been used for helping people deal with social anxiety, because the AI responses are so nuanced and realistic that they can be used as a model for real human interaction. In person, Kata seems a lot less warm hearted than his games. He's cold and analytical, seeming to judge entirely based on logic rather than emotion.

Yui is not well known outside of the service industry, but that sort of thing is common among assistants. Still, she has personally assisted a number of well known people, most notably her childhood best friend Kyo Katayama. Her aura of professionalism is intense, even in frightening or stressful circumstances. While her professional background is a bit of a mystery due to lack of press coverage, there's no doubt that she's very good at what she does.

Noriko is famous for being both a renaissance faire style knight AND a real, religious order style knight. While details about her faith are limited, her exploits are well documented. She's an extremely capable equestrian, jouster, swordswoman, and more all in accordance with her performances and her moral creed as dictated by her religion. She seems focused on group safety, and is surprisingly polite and personable given the lengths she's willing to go to to protect the group.

Fumi is famous for...writing letters? Apparently, this is similar to ghost writing, so perhaps anonymity is a part of the job. If she's a good writer, that's one thing, but in person she seems to stumble through her words and often say the wrong thing. Maybe her prowess is reflected better when she has time to think about it before writing it down? Either way, she's a sweet girl who is disarmingly charming, despite her troubles saying what she seems to mean.

Kyo is famous for two things in about equal measure: being a Katayama at all, and for using their status and wealth to attract attention to charities across Japan. They throw massively televised galas in which the rich and famous pay good money to attend, to be seen there, to be somebody in the public eye, and all of that money goes to a charity of Kyo's choosing. They're friendly, eager, and apparently the mythical Good Billionaire.

Miki is a meme. And an extremely skilled yoyoing professional, but mostly a meme according to the public eye. After being caught on video knocking a police officer's hat off with their yoyo, their popularity as a yoyoer exploded. They're a bit abrasive in person, saying exactly what they mean without sugarcoating anything, but they seem to mean well overall.

Startlingly tall and unexpressive, Katherine is most known for her film career as a child. She's been in family classics, horror movies, and holiday movies most notably. Nobody's really heard a lot from her since she hit puberty, but that sort of thing is fairly common for child actors. Despite immediately drawing the eye with her colorful appearance, she's remarkably lacking in any kind of social presence, somehow fading into the background of conversations.

While strange people is pretty much normal for Hope's Peak Academy graduates, Bo is something else altogether. Claiming to be literally an alien from outer space as well as an ambassador to Earth, their television show is immensely popular for how entertaining it is. In person, they're just as excitable and energetic as they are on TV. Maybe their claims of extra terrestrial origin aren't an act, and they genuinely believe it...?

Heiji is a professional surfer, well known for his camera presence and his dedication to the sport. He's won loads of competitions, and has a huge number of fans because...well, he's pretty. His public persona as well as his personal one is laid back, kinda goofy, and willing to let others take the reins.

Alena's books on sustainable, cheap at home gardening have launched her into a limelight she doesn't seem to enjoy. Originally Greek, having lived most of her life in California, she seems to be somewhat unfamiliar with the language and struggles to make connections. Her knowledge of plants is incredibly impressive, but since she can't communicate that, she may have difficulty in the future.

Lani became notable to any Japanese citizen who was paying attention when he flew into Japan on an emergency flight after a nuclear plant melted down in order to stabilize the power grid for the entire country. Since then, he's been a huge advocate for solar power replacing other power sources like nuclear and fossil fuels, and has become a largely public figure. He was accepted into Hope's Peak Academy at age 13, and is definitely a prodigy among prodigies--and knows it. He's confident, cheerful, and childish which is only to be expected of a literal child.

Isei's name and face has been visible in bookshop windows for years now; he's currently the best selling biographer in Japan. His biographies focus on convicted criminals and their lives, based on anecdotes and interviews he personally collects by visiting the criminals in prison to get their side of the story. His appearance might match the subject matter of his books, but other than reacting to abrasive comments, he seems to be fairly demure and safe.

Lacking memories of his talent, Shuji only knows that he DID go to Hope's Peak Academy. He remembers the graduation ceremony, and recognizes all of his classmates who seem to recognize him in turn, but whatever he might be nationally acclaimed for seems to be a big hole in his memory.
