“Look,” said Shaiyla. “ I know we’ve had it decent till now. But we are entering the Devil’s territory. We shouldn’t be such airheads. We must plan something.”
“I think you’re right on this regard.” replied Eve. “Let’s assert things then. My Dad is the first priority. But he of course won’t be alone, especially since he’s weak at the moment. So we have to expect company. Also considering this is the last destination, I think he has preserved his best men for his protection. Tok, Shaiyla, I saw you both handling those guards back then. You think you can do it again? I can’t be bothered by them, I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be tons of them.”
“Yeah, we easily got this.” responded Tok.
“Great then. I will take care of anyone that joins, that isn’t a guard that is.” said Eve. “Alright, shall we?”
“Let’s do this!” screamed all three of them.
Evelyn was the most scared she had ever been before. She was confident she could take them down, but there was still a lot on the line. Even though it was obvious she wasn’t alone, she still felt like that. Not that Tok and Shaiyla were useless, but they didn’t bring much to the table. So she had to take care of business all on her own. That’s where she started panicking. The tower must have had thousands of floors, and it was damn sure that it was gonna be filled with enemies.
However, she had a single mission on her head, defeat the Devil and then find a way to go to the two last Statues and rescue her mother. Those were her last tasks.
The three of them finally reached the place. They entered in without any problem but then some guards approached. Eve was about to go get them but Shaiyla stopped her.

Tok threw his boomer-dagger and hit the majority of the guards, both on the advance and on the return. Shaiyla quickly beat everyone that attempted to assault them, till there were left no more. Eve felt somewhat relieved.
Then something happened. Claps were heard.
“Outstanding.” said Jome. “I see you’ve brought company. And they are half-decent as well. This is gonna be fun.”
“Don’t get full of yourself.” replied Eve. “We don’t have time to chat.”
Tok this time tackled the man by himself, only to be thrown away.
“Insolent kid. Haven’t they taught you to respect your olders?” arrogantly said Jome. “Lemme present myself. I am Jome, and that is Clida.”
Clida appeared out of nowhere and was standing behind them. They got restricted in both ways.
“And we are the remaining members of the Elite.” continued Clida. “Although considering those two incompetents as part of our group in the first place is madness. But you get the drill.”
No way, there were more. Thought Eve. And these two are certainly the real deal. Eve had to play it smart, she couldn’t afford to waste her remaining energy on these two.
“Be clever. We easily beat Merian and Tomal and that long ago. I was weaker then, and now my powers have been tripled, if not quadrupled. Even though you two are as strong as you describe yourselves to be, it won’t matter. You don’t stand a chance against me. All I want is Dad, you two could leave right now and continue with your lives somewhere else.” said Eve.
“Aww, isn’t she precious?” said Clida.
“She certainly is.” responded Jome. “Let’s get her!”
They both leaped towards Eve but thankfully Tep had already waken up and teleported Eve somewhere else. Eve got her Dagger out and tried attacking Jome's back, which he parried. They continued fighting back and forth for some good minutes. Shaiyla and Tok tried their best to help Eve but their attempts seemed futile. Eve wasn’t getting too tired, but she noticed that her opponents weren’t either. It was in due time before they’d fuel her out. She started noticing each one’s quirks too, Clida had long ranged attack with her wand meanwhile Jome’s was unknown yet. They kept at it for a while, and Eve had managed to get them lots of times.

They stopped for a brief moment and Jome said something inaudible to Clida, she just nodded. For the next minutes, Eve was just fighting against Clida, Jome had practically disappeared. She had gotten Clida pretty low tho. Eve was about to strike her last blow when Jome came out of nowhere with a giant sphere and directed it to Eve.
Eve was caught off guard, all she could think of was to get away but she didn’t have time to communicate to the rest of the team. She was getting more stressed, then the unthinkable happened. Shaiyla appeared in front of her and somehow absorbed the sphere. She said some quick words to Eve and made gesture to Tep. Tep immediately teleported her in the midst of Jome and Clida and the giant sphere exploded.
The entire floor collapsed and turned into ruins. Tok was injured while Eve was just shocked. Out of the ruins came out the Devil. They both stared at each other for a bit.
“Da—
Evelyn couldn’t finish her sentence cause she got transported somewhere else; and she knew exactly where.
“This is gonna be your last destination, the Next One.” said the Statue.

Bastard's Wrath
The Wyvern reared its humongous head, serpent neck coiling back, onyx scales of opulence shimmering in the dimness of the cloud smothered sky. It spoke, eye's ashen, like the surface of a star, "What is it you desire, boy?" The word's rolled from it's pointed maw, tongue flicking, it's deep and ferocious voice sending the ground below rumbling. Damien looked up, hair sodden with rain, his face battered beyond recognition, his lips curled into a snarl. He had gone past the point of being frightened; he was tired of his weakness. He spoke, voice wavering, mist floating from his mouth in the coldness: "I want them dead. I want everyone who stabbed me in the back; dead." The Wyvern smiled, rows of teeth exposed, "Then sacrifice it. Sacrifice your humanity." - The story of a bastard within a crippled family, who beyond all odds becomes known as the Greatest Swordsman to live: the one that, even the Gods, would someday fear.

Shadow Falls
If you wanted to protect someone you loved, how far would you go, and what would you be willing to sacrifice? This question is at the core of this emotional rollercoaster of the book, Shadow Falls: the Rise and Fall of Erida VanIsle. This book emerged from four years of collaborative storytelling centering on the main character, Erida VanIsle, written by author Myra VanIsle. In this book, VanIsle goes beyond the events that led to Erida's sacrifice and explores forty-five years of the cost she paid to protect the sister she loved more than life itself. Shadow Falls explores the family tragedy which led to the separation of two sisters on completely different paths polar opposite of each other. While Erida set upon a path of darkness and power, Myra set out to be a beacon of light and hope bringing justice and peace to others. Be warned, the story VanIsle tells is dark and not easy, because you can't have the light without the dark.
