Julius quietly opened the door, as he peeked around the room. He sneakily slid through the door, before shutting it. As he dropped the weapons, he silently opened the door to the other room and looked inside. A sleeping woman with a pale face lie on a bed, with a girl sleeping beside her. Shutting the door, Julius sat down as he looked at the fire.

"Welcome back to the guild!" exclaimed the receptionist, as she looked at Julius, "Is there anything I can help you with today."

"Do you have any gold coin quests?" asked Julius, "I have some debts I need to pay off, and goblins exterminations don't do it."

A few adventurers laughed in the background as they thought about what Julius had just said.

The receptionist looked at Julius in surprise before stating," I'm sorry, but we don't have any of those."

"This is after all only a small city," the receptionist added, "The quest with the most payout that we can offer at this time, is a quest to slay a group of bandits."

"And how much would this pay?" asked Julius.

"Seven silver coins," replied the receptionist, "But are you sure you want to take this task?"

"Yes," Julius grinned, as he thanked the receptionist.

Finishing this quest will give me all the money I need. As I reached the dirt path where the reports were of a bandit camp, I smiled at the idea of going home quicker than usual. What will Julius and his family do I wonder when his wife is healed.

"Halt! Drop everything on you, or I'll kill you!" shouted a man looking at me.

"That sounds like a lot of work," I replied as I charged at him.

I normally wouldn't be able to defeat one of these guys without my person having any experience in any sort of weaponry. I guess it's a good thing he has wind magic to an extent then. I swung my sword at the bandit as he swiftly blocked. As he retaliated at me, I quickly cast wind magic, tripping him. As he hit the ground, I used the hilt of the sword to knock him out.

Quickly grabbing the clothes off the bandit, Julius put it on, before wrapping a bandage around his face. Pulling some rope out of the backpack he had brought with him, he tied the bandit to a nearby tree. A man shouted for the bandit, and Julius quickly rushed out of the forest into the clearing.

"Oi, Robert!" shouted a man, "Where'd you go?"

"Sorry, I thought I heard something," replied Julius as he pulled his hood up.

The bandit was dressed in a similar robe to Robert's. The only difference between the two bandits you could tell was the bow and quiver of arrows the bandit had.

"I thought I heard you shout," the bandit replied, "You alright?"

"Yeah," Julius replied.

"I heard we'll be raiding a nearby convoy soon," the man laughed, "Let's hope we don't have any casualties, like last time."

"Any more and there'll be less than a handful of us." sighed the man.

"Say, what's up with the bandages on your face?" asked the bandit.

"I tripped on my way back," replied Julius as he sighed.

"Idiot," the bandit laughed as they were now in sight of the camp.

"Thanks," Julius stated as he looked at the bandit.

"For what?" asked the confused bandit.

"This," replied Julius as he tripped the bandit, before knocking them out.

Opening his backpack, Julius grabbed more rope as he tied the bandit to the tree. Grabbing the bow and quiver of arrows, Julius sheathed his sword. Continuing his ascent up the hill, he looked at the bandit camp ahead.

"Welcome back Robert!" shouted one of the bandits as the others turned to look at Julius.

"Thanks," he replied as he looked at the others.

"Where'd the others go?" asked Robert as he looked at the two bandits that sat next to the campfire.

"Don't you remember?" replied one of the bandits, "Eliot, and Levi went to patrol the other side of the forest."

"Then I guess I can drop the act," Julius sighed in relief.

"What act?" the other bandit asked as he looked at Julius.

Unraveling the bandages, Julius unsheathed his sword as he attacked the two surprised bandits.

"Wait! Your, not Robert!" exclaimed one of the bandits as he watched his comrade get knocked out, "What did you do to Robert? and Jason?"

"The same thing I'm about to do to you," replied Julius as he tripped the second bandit and knocked him out.

Shortly after Julius tied up the bandits, he looked down the hill. The two other bandits were now returning, as Julius sheathed his sword. Grabbing Jason's bow he loaded an arrow, as he began to cast wind magic on the arrow. The string on the bow whipped back as the arrow swiftly killed one of the bandits. The final bandit, noticing what had just occurred quickly charged up the hill with murderous intent. Julius quickly pulled another arrow from his quiver as he launched it at the bandit. The final bandit, expecting the arrow quickly cut it in half as he charged at Julius.

As the bandit reached the top of the hill, Julius tossed the bow and quiver aside as he unsheathed his sword. The bandit quickly jumped at Julius as he swung his sword at the man. Pushing the bandit away with wind magic Julius attempted to knock out the bandit with the hilt of the sword but to no avail. Expecting the next wind magic attack, the bandit swung at Julius with his claymore as he saw the boy cast wind magic again. Dodging the gust of wind the claymore slammed into Julius' sword as his sword broke.

The bandit laughed as he looked at a shocked Julius, "You thought I'd go down as easy as the others?"
