《The Legend Of The Insanely Overpowered Mage》Chapter 23: Gargoyles

The three of them (Denka included) flew through the air at a mind blowing speed, though Tenur thought it was...
"Meh," Tenur muttered as he heard Laura screaming while struggling to hold onto him. Denka wasn't much better. Although he knew what to expect of flying through the sky, this was the first time he flew at such speed. He was an explorer, if he was to saw so himself, a daring person who seeks the unknown and turn it into the common, and that included being a scientist.
He always had a thing for inventing and utilising his resources. Thus, blueprints and ideas for combining Tenur's spell with an innovation of his were already popping up rapidly. He could think of various transports that could utilise such speed and power, and one of them was the combination of this spell and a carriage, which would make it move without any need for draft horses that were costly enough, even for royals.
As he came up with more and more ideas, he became submerged in his own thoughts. There was a brief moment where he could think of the endless possibilities applicable through the mix of spell and contraptions, but they were brief, short enough to allow him a glimpse only, not more. Must be the magic, he thought.
His thoughts were interrupted when Tenur started poking him in the page while calling his name. "Denka, Denka! You home?"
"Yes, what's the matter with you?" He was frustrated by the interruption, but it was short lived since he sensed foreign manas near them, and they were approaching fast. "Tenur! There's a group of mana beasts!"
"I know, that's why I tapped you out of your reverie," it seems Tenur had already noticed the group of beasts. If his untrained eyes were able to catch sight of them, then it meant they were corporeal and very likely deadly as well.
"How's my daughter doing back there?" Denka suddenly thought of Laura, and asked Tenur about it.
"Not good. She looks green from the flight, and I do. Not. Want. Puke. On. My. Clothes," Tenur's voice indicated he was serious.
"You could just take away her sickness by infusing mana into her," Denka said matter-of-factly.
"Wouldn't that require my penis?" Tenur asked sarcastically, then proceeded to point at his penis which was still shooting a beam of sperm in the opposite direction. The beam left a trail that glowed the same cyan-blue from before while illuminating the dark sky. It was one thing to look at something sexually, and it was another to look at the same thing in awe.

After a little more staring, Denka decided to get back onto topic. "Ok, what do they look like?"
"You can't see?" Tenur voiced his surprise.
"I don't have a fucking eyeball, of course I can't fucking see, you idiot!" Denka raged, but steadied himself before continuing, "now tell me, what do they look like?"
"Winged," Tenur answered dumbly. Denka could detect the winged beasts even clearly now since the distance between them had shortened from around 300 metres to 100 metres maximum.
"Son of a bitch... They're gargoyles," Denka swore he could still hear the sucking sounds of the gargoyles eating his mana away, leaving almost nothing behind until he managed to scare them off. But he has a master now, not to mention he consumes other's mana instead of generating his own, so technically, he was safe from such creatures. This'll be a nightmare for another time, he decided as he rubbed his own imaginary nose bridge with his imaginary right hand.
"Gargoyles... Aren't they beasts that live in mana rich environments only?" Tenur thought for a moment on what he remembered reading about them. Based on the storybook he read about when he was still 6, gargoyles would be batted off with a weapon that was plated gold or silver, and then when they were weak enough, the hero would pull them down by their legs and club them to their bloody and gory deaths, until even observers would shake in fear, not out of fear of the gargoyles (mostly), but out of the fear of being mutilated by the same hero who swore to protect them.
As he recalled more of the story and how the hero dealth with gargoyles, Denka suddenly called out, disturbing his train of thoughts.
"What gives!? I'm trying to think of a way to kill them!" Yelled Tenur who, for some reason, started touching himself. He thought it was easier to think when his hands were on his balls.
"Whatever methods you're thinking just now, I don't think even senseless beast deserve it. And for the record, you touching yourself with one hand while the other is still holding on to me is just freaking disgusting," Denka pointed out as the hand Tenur used to touch himself was used to hold him.

"Oh sorry, I don't think I have any better idea other than what was written in the bed time stories," Tenur said implied sarcastically. "Unless, you have a better one?"
"I, in fact, do have a better one, but it's just a theory only, ok?" Denka did not want to claim responsibility if his theory failed and caused Tenur, who's going to be testing it, to get mauled to death. Everyone knows undeads and beasts hate the living, sentient beings, let alone an undead beast, he thought, he should know the risks.
Contrary to what Denka thought, Tenur replied almost immediately. "Yeah, sure, just tell me that idea, theory, whatever it is, of yours already," He sounds impatient, Denka thought it was just his imagination that made up the impatient tone in what Tenur just said.
Incidentally, due to the village Tenur lived in was never attacked by undeads and large, hostile beasts before, he didn't know the piece of fact Denka thought was common knowledge. He was impatient because Denka was practically holding back the possible solution while they approached their almost imminent deaths if a solution was not found soon. Once he thought about the imminent death, he thought about Sarah, all of a sudden. It made his heart pound like crazy, and the limping dick of his that gradually turned flaccid due to the high constant sperm consumption immediately straightened, turning as rigid as a millenium year old mountain. Right now, his sperm production was in overdrive, causing excess heat to be generated as well as increased sperm production to tenfolds the original.
That was the last straw it seemed, because when the beam was strengthened, so too did the speed they were heading for the group of gargoyles. They crashed into the gargoyles, and the gargoyles in turned started to bite onto them, mostly onto Tenur because he was the one who emanated the most prominent mana signature.
"Tenur! Release your excess mana into your surroundings, quick!" Denka yelled as he felt a new threat trying to discontinue his mana source.
Immediately, Tenur's beam's compression weakened, and in turn was the increased diameter of the beam. That proved to be mana consuming since more surface area meant more mana dispersion, and he was struggling to keep up with the mana consumption even with his testes in overdrive.
He thought everything was over when he felt his testes were about as hot as lava, and he could see steam rolling off his red, swelling, bulging testes. The sperm beam began weakening at a critical rate, to the point where there wasn't enough power to propel him through the air and defy gravity. Just as he was falling, he could hear Denka shouting, "It worked! It worked!"
Falling. That was the only suitable word for his current situation. He was in a state of helplessness, where gravity would increase his drop speed to as much as it can within the time and distance limit. As the wind around him began to feel cool and warm at the same time, he blinked. He expected himself to fall through the tree leaves and onto the ground at any moment after a few more blinks, but the ground never came, because the sky never loosened its hold on him.
Suddenly, he was aware of stone cold bumps under him, levitating him in the air. He looked back, and saw Laura, who fainted, lying on a pack of gargoyles that formed a floating bed of sorts. Meanwhile, Denka was in his hand, untalking and unmoving as always.
A closer look at the gargoyles under Laura revealed glowing, red eyes. In fact, the gargoyles under him had bright, red eyes as well. Their skin glistened in the moonlight even though some parts were decayed, and no smell accompanied the decay at all.
"D-Denka... what's the meaning of this?" He felt weak, but he had to know. The logical side of him told him there was a chance the gargoyles would turn around and try to suck him dry again, but that didn't seem likely when he watched the gargoyle's obedient movements.
"It worked!" Denka shouted out in a small, joyful voice.
