《The Emperor Wouldn't Approve(GL)》Ch.2 That night at the ball (Part 1)

Three years later...
Lady Sunny is still trapped within her own personal hell. Without out little to a nun, social interactions. If you don't count, the guards that surround her palace. But all they do is ignore her and hold their heads up high. As if, she's a reject of an empress. Which Is true, she hasn't ever really cared how they perceive her. Especially an empress from a faraway land and somewhat enemy at that. But, who was she to say that their mind frame is wrong? She's just a lady that happened to become an empress.
If one could peek into her room they would think she's just a casted away wife or abandoned at that. And say,' How could a lady be locked up, like a prisoner.' Or whisper.' has the lord abandon her, for his mistress.' Honestly, she could care less about the people's opinions, they're not her people. They wouldn't even lift a sword to defend her honor. These people only look up to her husband 'The Emperor or Lord.' Whatever that man calls himself, he didn't even have the decency to put a heating area or the very least thick blankets. I'm not native to this land or climate. Sunny thought, as she munched on a meat bun, stuffing her cheeks.
"Though I've been here for about three years, it's just complete torture."
The Lord wanted me once upon a time, but I could care less about him. Instead, there was this lady or to be exact, the lord's cousin I liked. Like the way she walks and talks, ignoring that arrogant Lord. At first, I thought all he wanted was to befriend us, I didn't know. He held an interest in me, not that they would've changed anything.

Since, young I never felt much attraction towards men, unless you count my father or male family members. But, my parents always tried to set me up with young lords.
Lady Sunny, smiled slightly as she reminisced of her past. What blind parents I had, wonder how they're doing now. That man hasn't let me see them since that incident happened.
3 Years ago continued... (That night at the ball)
"I like you, do you like me?" Little Sunny whispered to Mina. Shyly twirling her golden wavy hair, around her finger. Lightly holding Mina's hand, touching the balcony's bars nervously. Turning to look at the dark blue, night sky with golden stars shining. When she felt a light tug, on her hand. Then proceeded to turn around, till she faced Mina. Who had a frown, upon her face and tears dripping out her white eyes. Startled, Sunny grabbed Mina's hand. "What's wrong Minny, did someone make you sad?" Before Mina could respond. Sunny looked at Mina, with a sad expression. "Minny, are you sad because of me? ...if so, you don't have to respond to my confession."
Minny wore a shocked expression, as Sunny continued."You're my best friend, and I know I'm from another nation then you. So I understand, plus we're ladies.' Sunny smiled at Minny avoiding her, white eyes. With little droplets of tears, falling from her brown eyes. Slowly wiping away her tears, before Minny noticed.
Minny grabbed her hand and whispered in her ear. "I do like you, silly." As laughter erupted from Minny's lips, trying to keep a straight face. Sunny's face turned red, from embarrassment.
"Minny,, you're not fair at all." Sunny grumbled. "How, so?" Minny responded, acting clueless.
Sunny lightly grabbed Minny and pushed her curly brown hair out of her face. Then, whispered in her ear. "You made me think you were rejecting me or worse ... not wanting to be my friend anymore."

Minny shoved Sunny away from her, wearing a face of disappointment. Pointing her finger at Sunny, fake crying. " So, that's how you see me... your crush huh." Sunny tried to explain but Minny shushed her. Then spoke, as she stroked Sunny's golden hair. " How are you going to make it up to me... Ms.Sunny."
"I'll take you on a date, ... to the most beautiful spot in the world." "I hope it's as special, as you made it to be."
"I swear."
"Real..ly swear."
"Yes... Minny, I really swear."
"Okay.. I'll believe you."
Then Minny grabbed Sunny's hand, pouting her lips out. "So, when we're going out."
Sunny touched her chin, in serious thought. Then a light bulb appeared." How about we have our date, on the last day of the ball."
"Are you sure, Sunny?" "We can just pretend to be sick, and sneak out."
"Ok, but where are we meeting?"
"How about at the frost pond, near the tree park."
"Okay, let's do our pinky promise" Minny and Sunny made a pinky promise. Suddenly, Minny got on her tippy toes and kissed Sunny on the cheek.
Causing Sunny's face to turn into a blushing mess. "Min, ny you're such a sneaky mouse,"
"Take that back, Sunny ...I can see you blushing."
"Okay, but I'll get you back." Sunny playful, glared at Minny.
"I'll see, about that Sunny, bunny." Minny smiled, waving to Sunny as she ran to her parents.
Leaving the ballroom's balcony, going downstairs.
Smiling Sunny ran to her parents, on the other side of the ballroom. Leaving with her parents. She felt someone staring, but who. She swiftly turned her head around but there was no one. Oh well, Sunny Struggled. Exiting the ballroom. "Sunny, where were you, young lady."Sunny's mom asked.
"I was... with my special friend." Sunny said, playing with her fingers "Special you say, more special than meeting young lords."
"Mom, I don't like young lords, tho." Sunny grumbled. "Yeah, yeah young lady... come on." Sunny's mom mumbled.
Sunny's mom said, lightly pulling her ear. "Ow ... Mom." Sunny whined. "What's so special about, young lords."Sunny bickered. "What did you say, Sunny."
"Nothing, mom" "Sure...Sunny." Sunny's mom said, rolling her eyes.
After they left, a young teen appears with an irritated face. Staring at the young lady's back as she departed.
"Young lord is something wrong." a male servant asked.
'No... Just a little problem. I need to fix it." the young lord said.
"What problem, if I may ask." the servant meekly said
"That's not something a servant like you ...should worry about." The young lord glared, at the servant boy.
"ye..sss, Sir. I shall take my leave." the male servant hurriedly, left before he died or worse.
"What an idiot, no wonder he's beneath me." The young lord whispered to himself.
"I will possess her... that I will, the family can kneel to my words."Young lord said crazily, to himself. Beckoning his driver, to take him to the palace.
Leaving, with a mission in mind.
