《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch. 22 Rescue and Moving Ships

"Who are you?" The captain asked. A simple yet difficult to answer question. I decided to answer.
"I am Alom. This is my ship. I just saved your and the rest of your crew's lives." I answered with a neutral tone.
"That might be true but you can't just expect me to accept. If your ship could make it's inside bigger than it's outside then what else can it do?" He asked, motioning to the ship.
"What my ship can and cannot do is of none of your concern nor is it any of your business." I replied to him.
He became angry at me. "It is my concern when it involves the lives of my crew and allies. Do you have no honor to speak of? If you had the chance to protect others then you should have taken it." He said pointing to me.
"My honor is not yours to decide with. Also, do you think that revealing the capability of my ship will end well with its size? People would kill me just to see if they could find out about how my ship is made. Hell, they would kill me if it was only slightly more advanced than the rest of the ships available. You should be glad that I decided to help you in the first place. If I didn't resign myself with having my little secret revealed neither you nor half of the people on this ship would be alive!!!" I was getting annoyed by this person. He should know the depths of depravity people would go to just to get what they didn't have.
He started at me then sighed. "I… apologize for my outburst," he said. "I have gone too far. Thank you for risking exposure of your technology to save me and my crew." I was shocked. I honestly didn't expect him to apologize, most humans were irrational once it came to their ideals and how they expected others to act.
My shock must have shown as he continued. "My sense of honor often leads me to confrontation when I believe someone could do something to help. Most of the time they don't have a reason when they don't help. My emotions also clouded my reasoning and I forgot how greedy and selfish people can be. I apologize for my outburst." He said looking down in shame.

"Apology accepted. Be sure to make sure that you let your crew know that I'm going to have them sign a soul contract of secrecy. I'm going to contact Nadira now." I then left the medical room and went to the bridge. On the way, once I was alone, I asked Aldion what was required to make the ship bigger. He told me that he required a special metal that the federation thought was useless. They were correct, the metal itself is very useless until you process it a certain way.
When I reached the bridge I contacted Nadira to ask what the next move was.
"First we need to get to a safe and secure location to get the injured some medical help. After we do that I guess we could keep some of the crew that we rescued and continue. I don't think there are any more traitors as the KRT highly value their sense of honor. Plus your ship seems extremely powerful for its size." She said.
"I highly advise that we get some reinforcements. I doubt that we can survive an engagement of a higher size. My ship is very capable but it still has its limits." I said. I wasn't lying after all, while I could protect me and my ship against almost any situation I couldn't protect her ship the same way.
"Now what would those limits be?" She asked. There was an inquisitive look on her voice.
"I could protect me but not you. That's the issue. Now let's get to a planet with a good amount of protection."
"I see. We will talk about this later. Now I will have the captain of the ship send you the coordinates we are heading to." The communication cut off and I received the coordinates and we slipped into Sub-Space and warped away.
A few days later we arrived at the planet of Casmi IV. This planet is the most developed in the Subsector and had a fairly large space station in orbit around it. Once we docked we then contacted the medical facility on the station to come and pick them up. Once the injured were picked up and some of the rescued departed the ships, after signing my soul contract, I met with Nadira on her ship along with the people who stayed.

The only people that stayed were Daniel, the captain, some of the guards that I saved, and a couple of logistics members. The rest said that the contract was too dangerous for them and left. These people would have to pay a fee for abandoning the contract mid-way through, though it wouldn't be too much because of the situation.
"So, what's the next move?" I asked looking around the room. Nadira placed her hands on the table we surrounded and leaned forward.
"We move to your ship." She said stunning everyone in the room.
"Why?" Someone said after a brief silence.
"So that Aloms ship can protect me and everyone else. It would also make our transport to and from the planets the same one we take between the planets. This will give a greater mode of flexibility and from what I've seen of the ship give us greater protection. We only need to decide who goes." She announced. There was a moment of contemplation among the people who weren't aboard my ship. Someone noticed and asked about it. They looked at me.
I sighed before nodding my head at them. One then spoke. "Well, the thing is that his ship could hold us all. So we could all move to the ship with no worries."
Silence. Some were bewildered at the news while some gave them questioning gazes. The person spoke up again. "It's inside is bigger than the outside. Like that old British television show with time travel. Same thing except not as big. The time travel thing is still unconfirmed."
"You will have to sign a soul contract now with no exception." I said after a brief moment of silence. If at first, they didn't believe it they now took it extremely seriously. "You know what, shall we move to my ship and continue there? It will be a lot more secure."
"Yes, let's." Nadir said before leaving the room. We followed soon after.
We arrived at the ship and entered. I led the group to an empty room that I wasn't using. The room was barren so I left to get some chairs and couches. I stopped at the door and asked some people to help me. We came back soon after and everyone sat down.
"So Alom is there enough room for everyone to stay on the ship?" Nadira asked.
"Yeah, there should be. You would have to share some of the showers and get some clothes for these guys," I pointed to the KRT people. "But there should be enough room. You would also have to provide some more supplies and stay out of the restricted areas."
"Great, then let's move some supplies over and get them some clothes." Nadira said with a smile on her face.
"Before that happens," I said before the door to the room closed and sealed, "everyone in here is going to sign the soul contract. If you don't then you will be killed." I said with a chilling smile on my face. Shortly after everyone signed the contract and left to bring supplies aboard.
A couple of hours later everything was ready. Nadira's ship was being left here along with its crew. Everyone else boarded my ship. After laying some ground rules and mapping the course we departed from the station to our next destination.
As we were departing I contacted Nadira's father to add on more payment. In the previous negotiations, he allowed me to add more payment should there be a lot of trouble. I now added that he had to prepare multiple tons of various materials, including the material needed for Aldion to expand the ship. Now that I planned to make the ship bigger it deserved a name. I would think about it as the contract went on.
