《Bound By Blood》Bound By Blood: 11. Hang In There

Alexander walks away from me while I'm still on the ground, tasting blood in my mouth. My hands are sticky from my blood too while clenching on my neck.

"Get out of the water." Alexander snaps to Xavier but Xavier stays in the water, on the edge, his hands crossed against his chest.

"No."

"Don't make me drag you out." Alexander walks back to me with a towel in his hand. He kneels down, taking my hand away from my neck and places the towel there. I take his hand's place while looking at his clothing. He was wearing an attire and his leather shoes were wet from the water. Xavier gives back a low chuckle towards us and I glare up into Alexander's eyes.

"Try to, big brother." Xavier finally says and it runs silent. Alexander's blue eyes snap to mine as he grins. Suddenly, he's not in front of me any more and he's near Xavier. The tie he was wearing is whipped off his neck and the next thing I see from the fastness is the tie tied around Xavier's neck. He tries to rip it off of him but Alexander uses all his energy and drags him out of the pool and slides him across the ground. I try to talk but I can't, my neck hurts so much.

"Are you going to listen to me now, little brother?" He whispers in Xavier's ear when he lifts half of his body off the ground with the tie still wrapped around his neck. Xavier is trying to gasp for air while digging his fingers into the tie. "Huh!" Alexander yells and Xavier nods, trying to talk but coughing comes out of his throat.

"Stop!" I finally shout and Alexander uses vampire speed and whips the tie off of his neck which makes him flip in the air and a scream coming out of Xavier's mouth. When he collapses on the floor I look at him groan in agony and roll onto his back.

"Diana, honey please come here." Alexander says who's looking over Xavier. I slowly get up, trying to keep balance as he grabs my arm lightly.

"If a boy makes his friends do irrational things to you, hurt him like this and teach him a lesson. No woman deserves to be hurt by a man" He says and when I glance down at Xavier, a burn from the tie is across his neck but then I watch it slowly disappear. Oh yeah, I forgot. Vampires can heal really quick unlike humans.

"But I can't do what you just did." My dry throat says to him and he laughs, gesturing to a chair next to the table.

"A punch will work too."

"And if she does, I'll hurt her back." Xavier get's up, cracking his neck. I put the bloody towel that has been resting on my neck for a while on the table and I slip on my shorts. Then I put my shirt over my head while blood starts to seep through it. Xavier grabs a towel, running it across his hair which makes it ruffle and than he wraps it around his waist, taking a seat a foot away from me.

"No you won't because you are a gentleman." Alexander says to him and he scoffs.

"Not to a human."

"Yes to a human. To anyone in this world. Mother and father raised you properly."

"I don't care what they think." He growls back as I watch them back and forth.

"Yes you do, you're just saying it now because Diana is here!"

"Maybe I am!"

"Enough!" A new voice says and it's the King who is by the door. Juliet is behind him, looking over his shoulder with shock written all over her face.

"Diana!" She shouts as I look away because Jean tells her to leave which she does. He walks in the room, shutting the door and his heels clicking against the ground.

"No wonder I smell blood, I hear shouting and I watch Xavier's friends run down the hall while Devon is carrying a very unconscious Mason in his arms." Alexander bows his head low while he looks at his shoes.

"Snapping Mason's neck is my fault, father. I'm sorry."

"And why is that?" His eyes narrow to Xavier while he doesn't look at no one.

"Because he was feeding on Diana."

"That's why she is bleeding and why was Diana fed on?"

"Because I let him." The King walks towards us and stops in front of me and Xavier as we look up at him.

"Diana are you okay?"

"Why do you all think that she's a fragile little human?" Xavier snaps back and the King sighs, his voice calming down.

"We don't want you to kill her Xavier. She could have died!"

"Well I'm sorry that whatever I do is a mistake."

"Nothing is your mistake." The King softly says and Xavier nods his head no.

"After she came to our home, everything is all about her."

"Everything is nothing about her, everything is about both of you!"

"The Prophecy is stupid, it's not going to work."

"Stop being so negative!" Alexander butt in, his eyes furious.

"It's true." Xavier snaps back, his blue eyes dark.

"That's it." The King says, crossing his arms over his chest. "I'm done with your childish games, Xavier. You and Diana are going back to school."

"What!" Xavier and I shout at the same time and talking made my head spin.

"What school, father?" Xavier spits with venom as Alexander gives out a light chuckle.

"The Royal school."

"But she's human."

"Doesn't matter, this will show that if she gets in any danger with any vampire, you will save her."

"How about if I don't?" A smirk forms on his face and I snap my gaze to him. He turns to me and gives me a seductive wink as I roll my eyes.

"You will because you are attracted to her." The King adds and I hear him scoff.

"But wouldn't that spill the secret that I'm the human for the Prophecy?" I ask and the King purses his lips into a thin line like he is in deep thought.

"No, I don't think so. Hopefully, it doesn't."

"Great, now I'm going back to school... again." Xavier says, getting up from sitting down.

"It will teach you a lesson."

"A lesson from nothing I deserve. The Prophecy is fake and I know it."

"Keep on denying it, Xavier. Next thing you know, you won't be able to get your hands off of her." Alexander says with a smile as I realize that I start to blush. Xavier makes a disgusted face while we all walk out of the pool room. I try to keep balance from losing so much blood and we all make our different ways. Xavier was behind me as I walk up to my room but before I went in, he grabs my arm.

"Yell at me that you hate me so it can show no interest between us." He whispers in my ear and I shutter at his breath. I rip my arm out of his grip as I turn around to look at him.

"I hate you! I hope you realize that you are a mean asshole of a person!" I scream while Xavier gives me a light smile.

"And you're just a blood bag to me!" He shouts as I slam the door at his face and I hear him walk away. I sigh in relief but what he said to me was kind of offensive. Hopefully the King was lying and I don't have to go to a full vampire school tomorrow.

Next thing I knew, I was in a car with Xavier, going to the Royal school.
