《What lies beneath》Chapter Fourteen

Cole's POV
When I wake up, I flinch, when I feel hands on me.
Do not panic Cole. Do not panic.
I open my eyes and smile down at Addylin who was snuggled into my chest. Her brown hair was splayed out onto the pillow and her legs were intertwined with mine. She wore these cute purple striped pjs. I know her favourite colour is purple now.
Her entire room is purple. Purple walls, purple bed and purple drapes. I softly run my fingers through her hair and then kiss her forehead, before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom.
A man needs to pee.
The door was locked, so I wait for the person to come out. I hear the toilet flush and then the sink run, before the door is finally opened.
James smiles at me and then walks past me to Jade's room. I do my morning business and then head back to Addylin's room. I cuddle back up to her and kiss her cheek, forehead and nose to wake her up.
She scrunches her face up, her eyes opening halfway. "Cole?"
"That's me," I chuckle. I give her a quick kiss on the lips. "Good morning."
"Indeed," she murmurs. She rubs at her eyes and sits up. "What's the time?"
I look at the alarm clock on the bedside table. "9:30," I answer.
"It's so early for a Saturday," she murmurs. "Let's go back to sleep."
"But I'm already awake," I state.
She groans. "I don't want to move."
I love this side of Addylin. The one that doesn't hide behind her anxiety or Jade. I run the back of my palm across her cheek. "Then we don't have to," I whisper.
"Good," she says. She kisses my bare shoulder, while her hand moves across my chest, where my angel wings were. Her favourite tattoo.

Suddenly our comfortable silence is broken by Jade slamming Addylin's door open.
Addylin sits up. "What's wrong?" She asks instantly.
"Your parents are here," Jade says. "And your sister?"
Sister!?
"Fuck," Addylin mumbles. She gets up and starts pacing. "Jade I haven't seen them in two years."
"Yeah I remember that day well," Jade chuckles. I look at her in confusion. "Addylin told them to go shove everything they own up their asses."
I smirk and put my hands behind my hand. "I'd love to see that."
"Might get a part two," Jade says.
I knew this might be bad, because Jade was actually being nice to me. Which means these guys are the scum of the earth. "Should I go?" I question.
"No," Addylin snaps, making my eyes widen. "Get dressed Cole."
"O-okay," I say. I grab my pants and a shirt, putting them on and then following the two girls out of Addylin's room.
I saw an elderly blonde man and then two women who were identical to Addylin. The older one was pretty much a older version of Addylin, with green eyes and brown hair. Then the younger one had green eyes, but blonde hair like her father.
"Mum, dad, Jenny," Addylin says, coldly.
"Addylin," her father says. "We thought we would come say hello, since we were in town."
"You've said hello, now leave," she says.
I've never seen Addylin this angry before.
It was hot.
"Don't be like that sissy," her sister Jenny says, while pouting. "We just miss you."
"You haven't seen me in two years," she spat. "Why now?"
"Don't be like that sweetie," her mum says. Her mums eyes suddenly train to me and she gasps. "Jesus Christ what are you?"

"Mum," Addylin growls.
"I'm Cole," I says, crossing my arms. "And you are?"
"I'm Cindy," she says, taking a step back. "And this is my husband Barry."
"Let me guess you date her piece of shit roommate, Jade?" Jenny snaps.
"No, he's dating me," Addylin growls.
Cindy gasps. "Addylin."
Oh dear lord.
"Cole is my boyfriend," Addylin says, calmly. "I like him a lot."
"Not enough to have sex with him though," Jenny says smirking.
"You know I'm waiting till marriage," Addylin growls.
"And I respect her wishes," I cut in.
"What happened to your face?" Barry asks.
"If you must know, I was kidnapped and tortured," I state.
"Sorry to hear that," Cindy says, awkwardly.
"So shall we stay for breakfast?" Barry asks.
This is going to be great.
