As I pull up to the house I grew up in, all the memories flow in. All the birthdays, events, holidays. All betrayed by one man. I shake the thoughts out my head as I get out my car. I open the front door, walking into the living room, a few things have changed but it's the same house I grew up in.

"Hey Soph." I see Sebastian sitting at the island in the kitchen, that you can into, thanks to the open concept.

"Hi. What you up to?" I ask.

"Nothing much, just writing some lyrics." He writes lyrics? Shit, I really need to spend time with this kid.

"Oh, I didn't know you write lyrics," I mumble.

"Oh, no one does, just Shyla and Amanda." I give him a small smile.

"Sophia, you're not a bad sister, I don't blame you for taking advantage of the freedom you got when you moved out," he tells me and I'm so glad he understands.

"Thank you for understanding Sebastian." I smile at my brother.

"So, a girlfriend huh?" I tease him and he starts laughing but stops and glares at me, causing me to stop.

"We've been dating a few months now, not publicly though, she hates the media and they make her insecure, this is the first time I've ever wished that I wasn't born into this lifestyle." he shakes his head and I feel bad for him.

"I know Seb. But she's sticking with you and you won't get that so often," he nods his head as I'm almost taken down to the floor.

"Shyla get off me!" I yell.

"NO!" She yells and I tickle her to get off me.

"You two look sus." Sebastian mumbles cringing.

"Shut up!" we yell at him as we get off the floor.

"Is that Sophia?" My mom yells walking down the stairs in a white dress, a bit too formal for a night in with her kids.

"Hi mom." I look at her and she gives me a guilty smile. She's ditching us.

"Again?" I ask.

"No honey, we're all going over to the McKay's for dinner, come on, go get dressed!" I roll my eyes walking up the stairs and heading for my room.

I push the doors open to reveal the room that I spent most of my life in. As I walk in, the familiar smell of fruity perfume fills the air, bringing back memories. It smells exactly like my childhood.

I open the nearly empty closet, I kept clothes here for emergencies and stuff, also mom said it felt like I was still in the house.

I grab a white romper and quickly throw it on. I don't even have a hairbrush in here.

I walk out my room and knock on Shyla's door.

"Come in!" she yells and I see her sitting in front of her vanity.

"You look pretty!" she squeals.

"So do you, but do you have a hairbrush?" I ask and she throws me a black hairbrush, the exact one I have home.

"Thank you!" I tell her, brushing through my hair. I miss getting ready with her.

Her phone rings and I glance at it, I grab it, looking at the contact name.

"Oh my God! Shyla you have a boyfriend and you didn't tell me! Does mom know? Oh my God does Seb know? How old is he?" I ask her as she tries to grab the phone but I run away.

"Sophia! Give it back!" I run out her room and down the stairs.

"Sophia!"

"Yes or no?" I yell at her.

"Why are you two yelling?" Mom asks.

"Yes, now give it back!" she yells.

"No way! Is he-" she covers my mouth before I can continue and mom stares at us as if we're mad.

"Who are you two talking about?" mom asks and I try to come up with an excuse.

"Leonardo De Caprio." I mumble.

"Oh," Mom says and Shyla chuckles.

"Hurry up! We need to leave.' Mom says and we grab everything and get ready to leave.

"Hey mom," I call her and she turns walking towards me.

"Have you and dad spoken?" I ask her and she frowns.

"No honey, have you?"

"Nope, not after he called me a bitch this morning in the police station," I mutter and she gasps.

"Well, I've been putting aside my one happiness for that man for so long, it's time to stop." she smiles and I'm so glad to hear her say that.

"I'm divorcing him. I'm going to focus on my children and myself," she says hugging me.

"I'm proud of you mom," I tell her and she smiles. We walk out of the house and into the car.

---

We enter the McKay mansion and I instantly regret coming, Piper sits next to Eleanor, glaring at me as I walk in.

"Must be a pain knowing your husband will never have chemistry with you the way he has with his best friend," Shyla whispers next to me and I slap her arm.

"Shut up." I tell her and she smiles.

Is it really that obvious that we have chemistry? The media, fans, they all say it and there is no denying it. But why am I scared to admit it?

"Kimberly!" Eleanor greets my mom and they break into conversation. I walk to the table, taking my seat as usual.

"So, you're the wedding planner." Piper sits next to me.

"Yes. And the designer of your wedding dress." I nod.

"I know, but let's get one thing clear. Axton is getting married to me, I've seen the edits, the people that want you two together. Remember, he's mine." she says and I honestly don't care.

"Uh, okay?" It comes out as a question.

"Let's eat everyone," Eleanor tells us as everyone sits down.

Everyone makes small talk but my mind goes back to Axton and me dancing in the library.

"Sophia! I received the new summer line! It is exquisite." Eleanor flashes me a smile.

"I'm glad you like it." I mumbled not really in the mood for conversation.

"Piper, you model, what have I seen you in?" my mom asks and Piper chokes on her food. Huh?

"A few things," she mumbles looking at her dad.

Where's Axton?

"Where's Axton?" I ask his mom and she widens her eyes.

"He was supposed to be here an hour ago, he and his dad." As if he heard us Denzell walks in, alone.

"Where's Axton?" I ask him.

He doesn't answer, instead, he walks to his wife and he stinks of weed. He mumbles something which we don't hear. Then he attempts to walk away but almost falls. My phone rings and I see McKay Industries's name flash across the screen.

"Excuse me," I get up from the table answering the call.

"Mrs. Rivera, Sir is on the rooftop, somehow your name came up, I think he wants to jump." My heart skips a beat. What has he done now?

"I have to leave," I tell everyone and run out the house before they can stop me.

I open my car, getting in I pray he's okay.

I drive to his office, the streets blurring.

After a very long drive, I reach his office. I run in, heading for the elevator.

It opens to the roof, overlooking the city. The wind, untamed, just like Axton, who's on the edge of the roof with a bottle of what looks like liquor.

"Sophia Rivera, is that you?" he slurs and talks.

It brings a feeling of deja vu to me.
