"Arius," Sinclair said with a growl.

My mate grinned as he looked at Sinclair and said, "As always, pup, I've bested you once again. "

Arius turned to look at me and turned back before saying, "Wait, I'm sorry. This time it wasn't even me, but my gorgeous mate. Isn't she a devious little thing?"

Booping my nose with his finger, Arius placed a kiss on the tip of my nose as I rolled my eyes at him.

"You lied to me," Sin declared.

"You say that like it's a big surprise. Come on now, you didn't really believe the bullshit I was spouting out of my mouth, right?" I said, raising a brow.

"So he didn't really hurt you?" Sin asked.

"Wait what?" Arius asked, with an adorable confused face.

I smiled sheepishly and said, "I had to make it believable, baby."

Moving his mouth to my ear, he said, "Don't worry, beautiful girl, you'll pay for it later on your ass."

Blushing bright red, I moved closer to his body and tried to bring the heat between my legs down.

"My needy queen," Arius crooned in my head.

"Save the flirting for later, Ari."

"Or we could ditch this party, go to Sin's bedroom, and I can fuck you on his bed while the rest of them can seal his fate"

Ignoring Arius, I turned to Sin, who was looking at Arius with contempt and disgust.

His look angered me as I said, "Get that dirty look on your face, Sinclair, before I kill you."

He turned to Adonis and said, "How could you, little brother, after everything I've done for you."

"Everything you've done for me, EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR ME. Are you fucking kidding or do you really only have two brain cells, Sin?"

" You disowned my twin after she met her mate."

"You've constantly looked down upon me for the past centuries."

How dare you think that I would be on your side, brother?" Adonis screamed at the lycan king.

"Does our blood bond mean nothing to you?"

"Of course it does Sin. I love you, but I will no longer be an accomplice in all your crimes because of your stupid jealousy towards Arius," Adonis said.

"I am not jealous!" Sinclair snarled.

Arius burst into laughter, making everyone's eyes turn towards him.

"Oh, I'm sorry, continue," he said, putting a hand over his mouth, trying to muffle his laughter.

"You really have a habit of laughing in the wrong moments," I whispered to Arius.

He just shrugged, giving me a wink.

I pulled away from him and walked towards Sinclair. Once I was standing in front of him, I put my finger under his chin and brought his face up to me.

"You are a little boy that acts like a lunatic because he just realized that there is someone that gets more attention than him," I said, laughing.

Sinclair growled as I continued, "But do you want to know something, Sinclair? No matter how hard you try, no matter how much you want it, Arius will always be better than you. A better man, a better mate, a better king, and most of all the most powerful being in the world."

"And you, sweet Sinclair, you are a worthless piece of shit that my Ari can squash like a bug," I finished, flicking his nose before walking back to my mate.

"You have the potion, right?" I asked Arius in my head.

"In my pocket, amare," he answered.

"Good," I said before cutting off the bond between us.

I stopped walking, gave Arius a smirk, before turning back around to Sin and running towards him. I took out the knife I hid earlier this morning and put it against his throat.

"Although, why should I give all the fun to my mate? No one threatens my mate and lives to tell the story, but I have a much better plan for you," I whispered into the ear of a fallen Sin.

Sinclair throws me off his body as I crash onto the ground on my back. I quickly get up and raise my eyebrow to Sin before giving him a savage smile.

"Let's play Sinclair," I said before spinning around and running in the other direction as I changed into my wolf's form mid-run.

I run through the woods as I weave in and out between the trees. I could hear Sinclair's lycan close behind me, trying to catch me.

"ANA" Arius screamed into my head.

"You can't outrun him in your wolf form. He's a lycan, amare."

"Don't worry, Ari, I won't be a wolf for long," I said.

"What-" but before he could continue, I cut our bond.

I rushed through the woods before stopping and running full speed in the other direction. Sin fell to the ground, not expecting the change in movement. We continued our chase right next to a lake. I knew that I couldn't keep this up for long since Sin's lycan was gaining speed on me.

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

"Babe, I know you want to make a dramatic entrance into the world, but can you hurry the fuck up?" I said to my subconscious.

Sin howled behind me as I used up the rest of my speed to get as much distance between me and him as possible, but I knew soon enough he would catch up to me. Tilting my head towards the water, I saw my deep blue eyes in the water's reflection.

"I love you, Arius. You turned my world from black and white into one filled with colors," I said once into the bond, not bothering to hear his painful response.

And that's when I saw it.

No longer do I have my deep blue eyes, but now they were replaced with the angry red color that matched my mate's.

Fucking finally.

"I WANT MATE" it screams in my head.

"Hello Beast," I said.

And with that, I transformed.
