My wings grew from my back, my horns appeared on the top of my head and my body was covered in a beautiful dark grey gown. I lifted myself into the sky as I looked down to see that Sin had stopped to howl in anger, watching me fly away. Turning my head, I flew back home.
Not the place, but the person.
My person.
Once I got back to the area where everybody was crowded, I saw Arius fully shifted with a furious expression on his face. At full speed, I flew into his arms as I toppled the two of us over. When he saw it was me, safe, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled us both up so that I was sitting in his lap.
"Look at you, pretty baby, you look absolutely ethereal," Arius said, bringing his hands to my little horns.
I snuggled my face into the crook of his neck, trying to please my mate so that he would forget my actions beforehand.
Placing light kisses on his neck, I replied back and said "I love you."
"I love you too, amare."
I gave him an award-winning smile and went in to kiss him, but Ari pulled back.
He raised an eyebrow and said in my head, "We'll talk about what you just did when we get home."
"I didn't do anything," I replied.
"Oh really, so you didn't just run off with a grown lycan chasing after you."
"Well, I beat him," I said.
Arius brought his hand to my chin and raised my face so that I was looking at him right in the eye.
"Never jeopardize your safety again, little mate. Understood?"
I nodded and then ducked my face into his chest.
"Okay," I said, softly against his body.
"Good girl," Ari said, kissing the top of my head.
"Now darling, get up, we're about to have a furious puppy coming our way."

Arius got up and then offered me his hand, which I grabbed. One of his wings wrapped around my body, keeping me close to him.
Sin came running into the clearing, shifted behind a tree, and then came out in a change of clothes.
He came charging towards us, but before he could reach us, Arius pulled him back with his shadows.
"You're like him, a fucking freak," Sin screamed at me.
Before I could answer, Arius, uncurled himself from me and said "I could give two fucks about anything you say to me, but when you say something like that to her again, I'll cut out your tongue and watch you choke on your blood."
"You are NOTHING to her. You're a piece of dirt while she's the fucking sun. Disrespect her again and I'll remind you just how powerful I am."
"I hope we didn't miss the show. I can't believe it took you over two hours to do your makeup," said a voice behind us.
"I'm sorry, but I don't wake up and look this good... Well, I do, but that's beside the point," said another voice.
I looked back and saw the rest of my family join us. Akoni and Allegra were bickering between themselves while a pair of lycans were in chains behind them.
They wrapped Karissa and Leo in silver chains, which must've been burning their skins.
"Oh perfect, your minions are here too," Arius said to Sin.
"Nellie, please help us," Rissa begged.
"You should've thought about that before aligning yourself with him," I said, my voice unwavering.
Her fake kindness washed off her face and was replaced by a raging look on her face.
"An aberration like him shouldn't exist," she replied.
"The only aberration I see is you, Arius and his sister came before us all. So if anything we are all aberrations, not them."
She snarled and was about to say another revolting thing about my mate, but before she could, I said to Akoni, "Put a muzzle on her, please. Her voice is making me want to gouge my eyes out."

"Shut her up," Arius said, "my mate has the most pretty eyes and they're not getting ruined on my watch."
I rolled my eyes at him and said to Allegra, "Your turn."
She gave me a smirk and walked over towards Sin.
"Hello big brother, have you missed me?" she said.
"Still whoring yourself of to a demon?"
Both Arius and Akoni were about to attack Sin, but I stopped them before they could.
"This is her fight," I said to them.
"Oh yeah, and his dick is fucking amazing. You should see the things he does with his tounge."
"That's my girl" Akoni said.
"It's over for you now. I have my phone ready to capture your face when you realize your punishment," Allegra said.
I took the potion out of Arius's pocket and gave it to Allegra. I grabbed her phone and walked back to my mate, who gave me a nod.
"I'll take the picture," I said.
"Thanks, bae," she said while I blew a kiss to her.
Arius tightened his shadows as he got ready for Sinclair to try and get away.
"You've crossed the line, but never like this. Arius was going to kill you except Ana stopped him, so you should thank her," Allegra said.
"Wait, wait, wait. His punishment is so much worse than death for him," I said.
"Your so right, Ana, I forgot how much of a power-hungry monster my brother is" Allegra said, replying to me.
"What's going on?" Sin said, trying to pull on Ari's restraints and getting very agitated.
"Well, my dear brother, I think you have had your immortality long enough. Your craving for power has finally come to end you. Have fun being a human, Sinclair," Allegra replied.
SNAP.
Akoni and I both took a picture of Sin's face when he realized what was happening.
"Oh shit, this is gold. I'm going to make this my new wallpaper," Akoni said, laughing.
"Send it to me, brother," Arius said, dying of laughter next to me.
"Open your mouth now," Allegra said, unscrewing the cap of the potion.
Of course, Sinclair wasn't complying, so Allegra called me over.
"Ana darling, a little help."
I walked over to them, grabbed Sin's jaw, and forced his mouth open as Allegra poured in the liquid. I closed his mouth and covered it before I kicked his stomach, so he had no option but to swallow.
Sinclair immediately passed out once he swallowed the potion that was going to make him human. Arius, Akoni, and Adonis all walked over to us and we all stood over the fallen lycan king.
"What now?" Adonis asked.
"You become king and take care of the two behind us," Arius said, indicating towards Rissa and Leo.
Adonis spluttered before saying, "What?"
"You are next in line for the throne since I'm pretty sure Allegra does not want it," Arius said.
"Yep, it's all yours," Allegra said, to back up my mate.
"What will you do with him?" Adonis asked about Sin.
"Oh, I have just the perfect place for him," I said, smirking.
"What is going on in the devious mind of yours?" Ari asked, curiously.
"You'll have to wait to find out," I said with a wink.
"We'll be in touch," Arius said to Adonis, then bending down to pick up Sin.
Allegra walked over to Adonis to hug him.
"I haven't forgiven you yet, but we're on the right path. Keep in touch," she said.
The four of us walked to the edge of the lycan kingdom before Ari turned towards me.
"Where are we heading, gorgeous?"
"The Dark Moon pack."
