For the next week, I have been spending time with Sin and Adonis, both of us trying to convince Sin that we were on his side. So far, the dumbass believes everything we make up about our hatred towards Ari. Sinclair has been pressuring me to move into his room, but I kept using the making-up excuses of how I'm not ready to be near a man like that yet.

"Sweetheart, are you ready?" Sin asked me from outside my door.

A few months ago, I would have loved that nickname, but now it disgusts me.

"Almost," I replied, putting final touches to my makeup.

After denying Sin's request to go on a date so many times, I finally accepted, so he didn't get suspicious of my reluctant behavior. I've been putting off telling Arius about my date because I didn't want him to worry about me, but it is now time.

"Ari?" I asked.

"Little love, is something wrong?"

"Well... promise you won't be mad," I replied.

"What did you do, amare?" Arius asks me.

"Nothing! I swear. Sin has been badgering me to go on a date for the past week and I finally couldn't reject him any longer because he's getting suspicious," I said.

"WHAT! My baby is going on a date with another man," Arius said.

I knew he was pouting on the other side of the bond.

"Yeah, so can you hurry up and save me."

"Don't worry, darling girl, I'll be there today and Sinclair Royal will regret ever getting his eyes on what's mine," he replied.

"Love you, Ari," I said.

"Love you too. Remember to put a jacket on, the lycan kingdom can be freezing."

Annoyed, I said, "Stop babying me, Ari, I'm a wolf. We were born to withstand the cold."

"I don't care."

Stubborn asshole.

"I heard that mate. Don't worry I'll punish you for that comment, but I've to go now. Be a good girl and if Sin tries to touch you, knee him in the balls."

"Bye, Ari."

"Remember to hit him as hard as you can-" he said, but couldn't finish since I cut our bond.

I rolled my eyes at my mate's antics as I walked to the door. Grabbing a jacket, I hid a small knife in the inside pocket before opening the door. Sinclair stood outside wearing a casual outfit and his blonde hair, tousled curls.

I prefer Arius's black dress shirts with the buttons opened so I could see his tattoos.

Yum.

Faking a smile, I greeted Sin "Hi."

"Hello, sweetheart," he said.

"Where are we going today?" I asked as the two of us walked down the halls of the palace.

"Do you remember the place where we had our first date?" Sin asked.

Our only date, dumbass.

"Of course I do," I replied.

"I was wondering if we could go back and to that cafe for lunch?"

"It sounds perfect," I said.

Perfect since it's surrounded by people, so I know you won't try anything.

We walked in silence into town until Sinclair broke it.

"They still have those chocolate croissants you loved," Sin said to me.

"Wait really, I loved those," I said with genuine happiness for the chocolaty goodness.

"Yeah, we can order them today," he said.

We continued on our walk to the cafe and were finally seated outside in the same location as last time. I looked over the menu and ordered a seafood pasta while Sin ordered the salmon. Once the server took our orders, I waited for my margarita to get through this lunch.

"Tell me about your time in the underworld," Sinclair asked me after they served my drink.

"Taking a small sip, I said, "If it's okay with you, I would not like to recall that time in my life."

"I just need some information to help you get your revenge."

I internally rolled my eyes and said, "Well, in the beginning, he was very sweet and kind, treating me like a queen. About two weeks later, everything changed for the worse and you know the rest of the story."

Sin looked at me curiously as I put up my best face of sadness and remorse. It must have worked, because Sin moved on to talk about uninteresting subjects.

Our food arrived, and although my company was terrible, the food was amazing. Once we finished our dinner, our chocolate croissants finally arrived. I bit into it and moaned out in pleasure from the burst of flavor in my mouth.

"You better not be moaning, Analise."

"It's from a chocolate croissant, dumbass," I said.

"Hey, don't eat his croissants, only mine."

"It's from a cafe, Ari. Now shh, or else you'll give me away."

"You okay? You kind of blanked out," Sin asked me.

Replying, I said "Yeah, just enjoying my croissant"

Sin looked behind me and showed a face of annoyance as I turned to see what he saw. Adonis was walking up to us and then sat down at our table.

Thank god.

"What are you doing here, brother?" Sin asked.

"Can't I spend time with a friend and brother?" he said with mock innocence.

"Ana and I are on a date," Sin said.

"No, no, it's okay. I don't mind," I said.

Sinclair grumbled in his seat as Adonis threw me a knowing look.

When Sin put his head down to text someone, I mouthed a "thank you" to Adonis.

He nodded, mouthing "No problem."

When Sin was about to say something, there was a shake from the ground. Lycans everywhere were screaming as the trees fell. People were running to the center of the town where we were. I looked to Adonis to see him giving me a questioning look. I shrugged and got up from my seat to follow the people.

When we got there, all the lycans were gathered in the middle of the town as Sin walked to the front.

"Everybody, there is no need to worry. We have everything under control-" Sin announced, but was interrupted in the middle.

Black smoke was coming out of the forest as it got closer to us. Adonis began smirking as Sin walked back to us.

"What the fuck is going on?" he asked, screaming hysterically.

Oh, sweetheart, you are about to meet your maker.

Instead of running away from the smoke like before, I walked towards it as it came up to surround me, almost like a blanket.

"Hello my loves, I've missed you," I said, smiling at the beautiful creatures.

A winged being flew from the sky, landing right in front of me as everybody stared at him in fear. Radiating power, he was fully transformed with his horns and red eyes out. He emitted fear from everyone but me.

"No, no, no. You fucking bitch. When I get my hands on you, I'll fucking kill you," Sin screamed at me.

I turned to Sin as I heard Arius's footsteps walking up behind me, wrapping his hands around my waist. He bent his head down to the side of my neck and kissed me.

"You'll have to beat me to kill me and with your weak skills, I doubt you could do that," I said, smirking.

Arius let out a small laugh before looking up at Sin.

Cruelly, he said "Hello Sinclair."
