《Hush | on hold》Chapter 9: ally or enemy?

meanwhile...
"Who was in charge of the delivery today?" I asked, tapping my finger against the steering wheel. "They're either dead or we have a rat among us. I'd like to believe it's the former but something tells me it isn't. Track the route to the warehouse and map out all the places where it could've gone."
We each drove in separate cars, following all the routes they could've taken to the warehouse. I kept the both of them on call so we could still communicate, Sebastian and Matteo are the only ones I can say that I really trust.
"I wouldn't be surprised if some of the people from earlier were in on this." Sebastian said, "You probably shut them up when you killed that guy but some of our men still have this lingering hate for you since you killed Dino. They don't like the fact that you took control, regardless of whether your his son or not."
"Yeah, I've been noticing things get a lot tenser between certain people when your name is mentioned, " Matteo agreed, "Most of them are too pussy to do anything but... I'm sure there's some dumbass out there who thinks he can get one off on you- I think I found the trucks."
"Where are you right now? Don't get any closer, just send your location." I said, turning my car around. "Seb and I will meet up with you."
We pulled into an empty lot behind a huge abandoned building. The trucks were just sitting there in plain view. The three of us got out of the car at the same time and looked around, it didn't seem like anyone was there... I held my hand up as they began walking toward the truck and they stopped.

"Qualcosa è sbagliato, non c'è nessuno qui" (Something's wrong, there's no one here.)
"Stanno guardando dall'alto." (They're watching from above.) Matteo whispered. We pulled out our guns and kept them held low and faced our backs to each other. The windows of the building were all broken in and I paused as I caught sight of someone standing next to the edge. There.
Our eyes met and he walked away from the window. After a few minutes, I watched him walk out from the entrance, completely unarmed. He walked up to us until he was just a few feet away and smiled,
"Yo." He waved his hand slightly and put his hands in his pockets.
"I've never seen you around." I said frowning, he's not one of my men. He was dressed in all black and wore a black trench coat over his clothes. He had a symbol above his coat pocket of two small devil horns that I hadn't seen before.
"It's a big world." He said shrugging.
"You must have a death wish. That's pretty brave of you, to come out here unarmed after you stole-" Sebastian started but he cut him off with a whistle. Suddenly all the windows were filled with people starting out of them, each of them holding guns in their hands, "I'm not stupid. I stand before the son of Dino Russo, the most dangerous man in this city and you think I'd come out unarmed?"
I clicked my tongue when he mentioned my father's name and he seemed to notice. He laughed, "What's this? Even his own son disliked him? What a pity." He raised his hands up and smiled, "I don't want any problems, quite the opposite actually. I want to help you out here."

"Help me out?"
He snapped his fingers and two men dressed down in casual clothes came out leading two people with bags over their heads and their arms tied behind their back. He made them kneel down in front of us and snatched the bags off their head.
"These are your men are they not?" He asked, widening their arms. "These three little birdies came to me offering me up..." He pointed toward the truck, "Over 90 crates of guns in return that I cause a bit of commotion for a certain someone."
Three? There's only two.
"You said three? There are only two people here in front of me, where's the third?"
"I let him run off." He said waving his hand, "He walked with a limp... Mmmh, his name was Lorenzo if I can recall."
I shot him in the leg a couple days ago... How can he even stand? I haven't seen him since then...
"Y-your a traitor!" One of them yelled toward him and he frowned, "I never agreed to help you with your little coup. Besides, I saw a better offer in my grasp so I decided to take it."
"A better offer?" I asked, raising my eyebrow and he nodded, "I'll give you the guns back- I don't want them, my men and I have enough and I don't use them anyway. You can have these two as well, I dislike pests like them."
"What's in it for you?"
"We become allies." He said clapping his hands, "If I'm under allies with Giovanni Russo, who in their right mind is going to fuck with me?"
"Non mi fido di questo ragazzo." (I don't trust this guy.) Sebastian whispered.
"Well then, I've told you my intentions loud and clear, what's your response to it?" He asked.
"You seem to be very familiar with my name, yet I don't know yours."
"It's Lucifer."
"Come again?"
"Luci-" "non è sano di mente. (he's not sane)" Matteo whispered.
"Shhh... Well then... Lucifer, we have a deal. Return the guns, and these two and we have ourselves a deal."
"Gio-" Sebastian started but I raised my hand, "Seb. We have a deal." I repeated.
"Good." He said, clapping his hands. He walked up toward me and held out his hand before I shook it. He held his gaze with me and his eyes didn't waver a single bit. "Lovely doing business with you."
We watched him and his men retreat back into the building and I waited a few seconds before turning my back . I checked both trucks and everything was where it should. Matteo and Sebastian drove it themselves to the warehouse and I followed closely behind them. I got out when we arrived and pulled the two guys out from the trunk before grabbing a gun out from one of the crates.
"So... Which one of you..." I said as I loaded the gun, "Is going to tell me where Lorenzo is?" I leaned against my care and crossed my arms, waiting for them to speak.
"We only answer to Dino." One of them said and I sighed, again with that... I shot the ground right by his foot and he jumped. "I'll ask it again... Which one of you will tell me? We can do this the easy way... Or we can do the hard way. You'll die either way but...I hate when people make things difficult for me,
so choose wisely."
