I had a long night of lying awake and replaying every single detail of what happened between Archer an myself.

He actually kissed me.

I eventually fell into a dreamless sleep, but was woken up at the ungodly hour of five O'clock in the morning by Caitlyn's impatience.

The worst part of a sleep over is the morning. It's boring if you're the first one awake, but if you're not then you're being watched.

"I can't sit around anymore, bored out of my mind, while you continue to sleep." She said sitting next to me.

"Not cool." I said shoving my head back into my pillow.

She poked me, but when she realized that poking me wasn't going to work she began flipping me over. I knew that it would lead to her rolling me off the bed, so I shot straight up. "Okay, Okay. I'm up." I said rubbing my eyes and letting out a sigh.

"Finally."

"Why are you up so early?"

"My mom phoned me to tell me that she's picking me up at ten." She explained.

I nodded at her response.

"Did I miss anything after I fell asleep last night?" She asked.

"No. We all basically fell asleep somewhere while watching the last movie."

"Makes sense. That was a boring ass movie." She said. "Thanks Devin."

I took a moment to consider whether or not to tell Caitlyn about what happened last night. She deserved to know, right? She's my best friend.

"Something did happen, but after everyone had left and after you went to bed." I said unsure of how to approach the situation.

She looked at me wide eyed and raised her eyebrows. "Go on..." she insisted, optioning her hand to encourage me.

I fiddled with my hands and bit my lip at the memory. "So... Archer kissed me."

She was silent for a very long time keeping a serious face, but eventually let out a small scream, "Ahh, Yes!" She smiled widely.

"And he admitted his feelings for me." I added, "I told him how I felt too." Dah.

"I'm so happy right now, honestly." She said standing up and pacing the room. "I called it, Cody owes me money." What? I laughed at that.

"I can't believe it." I said honestly.

She looked at me, her face turning serious again, "I wonder what happens now?" She asked.

"Me too. We're both aware of our feelings, so I guess we'll see where it goes." I honestly have no idea where we stand. I've never known Archer to be the 'boyfriend type', but who knows.

"I ship it." She said. I smiled at her.

Me too.

*~*

It's Monday morning, which means that today will be the first day that I see Archer after we had our 'moment'.

To say that I'm nervous is the understatement of the century. I'm loosing my mind.

What if he's awkward and doesn't want to talk to me ever again? What if he ditches me, because he got what he came for? Not that I think Archer is like that, but who am I to say.

After rolling out of bed, I ran to the shower. I stood in the scorching water playing out all the possible scenarios in my head. Every one of them making me more and more nervous.

I eventually left the shower and made my way to my closest. I went with a full black outfit today and a grey wooly coat. Comfort clothes.

I gathered all my books off my desk and packed them away in my bag. I ran downstairs and dropped my bag off by the door. I made my way into the kitchen to find that only my mom inside. Willow and my dad get back from their weekend at the resort, where Wil had her competition, later this afternoon.

Thankfully I've been kept in the loop with her results, the whole weekend. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't get to go with, but I had an assessment on Friday keeping me from leaving with them.

Honestly, I'm glad I stayed. If it meant it would lead to what happened between myself and Archer, then I don't regret staying.

"Morning mom." I said giving her a hug.

"Morning." She said giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I made my smoothie and put it in a to-go smoothie cup. I made my way out toward the door to wait for my mom, while she put her Coffee in a flask.

"Ready to go?" She asked she walked in.

"Yup." Nope.

"Let's go then."

*~*

I stepped out of the car and said goodbye to my mom.

I began to make my way toward the school's entrance and ascended the steps. There was barely anyone in the halls due to the earlier, than usual, hour. I walked easily to my locker, not bumping into anyone like usual.

When I made it to my locker I let out a sigh of relief. I made it here with no awkward run-ins.

I was busy emptying my books from last night's homework when I felt the presence of a certain someone behind me. I turned around slowly, while the nerves inside of me began to eat away at my stomach lining. He was close, lowering his head downward towards me, one hand placed above my head, while he leaned on the locker. "Hey, Blondie." He said softly with a smirk.

"Hey." I whispered out.

He used his other hand to play with a piece of my hair that hung in my face, then tucked it behind my ear. His attention coming back to my face. "How are you?" He asked looking up into my eyes.

"G-good." Internal head smack.

He chuckled lowly, hanging his head for a second. "Good." He said looking back up.

He brought his head down further and he brushed his lips along mine, teasing me. He placed a soft kiss on my jaw, then he made his way back up. He placed his lips softly on mine, placing his hand at the back of my head. It was short, but sweet, considering where we were. He still managed to make my legs feel week, struggling to hold me up.

I looked at him questioning him with my eyes. "I wanted to." Was his answer. He took a step back giving me room to breath. His smirk found his way back into his face. That stupid smirk.

Still feeling slightly dizzy, I regained my posture and turned to my locker again. Archer finding is way next to me, leaning on the locker beside mine, watching me.

I took the books I needed out and placed them into my bag. I stepped back and closed my locker again.

I turned to face Archer who looked down at me. "Ready to get to class?" He asked.

"Mhm." Was all I responded with.

He leaves me speechless, that's for sure.

He smirked at me, placing his arm around my shoulders as we walked in the direction of my art class. He was warm agains my side and his arm around me felt like a kind of protective force field.

Of all the scenarios I played out in my head while in the shower this morning, I never even considered something like this to happen. He kissed me at my locker as a hello, because he 'wanted to'. If that's not a perfect cliché, then I don't know what is.

When we made it to my class he took his arm off my shoulders and stood in front of me. "Here you are." He said casually.

"Thank you for walking me to class, kind Sir." I joked.

He chuckled, stepping closer. This time he only placed a kiss on my head, probably aware of the teacher's presence inside the class.

"Bye, Blondie." He said about to walk away.

"Bye, Archer." I said softly, already missing his presence.

I watched as he walked down the hallway, one hand in his pocket as the other made its way through his hair. He walked casually toward his first class and high-fived a random guy in his path.

How does he make everything look so effortless and perfect?

*~*

After this morning's events with Archer in the hall, I could barely concentrate on what any of my teachers were saying.

Because I wanted to. My heart swells every time I replay those words in my head.

The bell rang for lunch period and I slowly made my way to the cafeteria. When I made it there I looked over at our table and saw that everyone was there. I walked over to them, my hands fiddling with my coat's buttons as I walked.

I made it to the table and everyone greeted me, except Archer who just looked up at me with a smile. I smiled back, not being able to contain myself. He's so damn cute.

He gently grabbed my hand and pulled me down to sit next to him. He removed his hand from mine and wrapped it around my waist instead, pulling me closer. We both just looked back at the conversations playing out before us, as I try contain my nerves.

The conversations stopped as they noticed Archer's arm snake its was around my waist. Everyone was watching us with questioning eyes.

Except Caitlyn, "This isn't surprising. I'm pretty sure them kissing would indicate that they're past the stage of this," She said motioning between Archer and I, "being wierd."

Everyone looked wide eyed at Caitlyn, then at the two of us. "Oh you didn't know that, oops." Caitlyn said before stuffing her face with her sandwich.

"You kissed?" Ethan asked.

"You didn't know?" Devin said.

"How'd you know?" Cody asked Devin.

"Did you not see the way he was acting on Sunday? He wouldn't stop smiling. Coincidentally the day after he left her house later than all of us." Devin explained. "I didn't know for sure, but I'm not surprised." He couldn't stop smiling? Neither could I.

"I'm blown away." Alice said. "But I'm so excited!"

"I'm sure we all are." Ethan agreed.

"I'm just pissed that I had no idea." Cody said pouting. "How could Devin tell and I couldn't?"

"Dude, Com'on." Devin said.

"Yeh okay. I'm only kidding." He began, "I'm pretty happy about this development too. Rather feisty than some other rando."

Archer and I didn't say a word the whole time they went on about us. I looked up to see Archer's take on the situation, but he was just amused at their reaction. I knew that I was a bright shade of red at this point.

He leant down and whispered into my ear, while the others continued to talk about what this meant for the two of us, "Red suits you." He chuckled softly. I hid my face away so that he couldn't see. He chuckled louder. He continued to watch our friends talk about this some more.

I leaned upward to try reach his earl level and said, "I'm pretty sure they're talking more about what happened between us, then we have."

"I don't think there's much to talk about," He said casually. "I'm pretty sure what happened was the answer to a lot of questions." He smirked down at me.

"I guess." I said shying at the memory and he took that as an opportunity to place a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Guys, they're not even listening." Devin said annoyed. Archer laughed beside me and I could feel his body moving agains my side.

"Sorry, but how is this any of your business?" He asked them.

"How is it not? We're your best friends." Cody opposed.

"Guys, Archer's right." Caitlyn defended.

Yes. Thank you Cait. This is why she's my best friend.

"Fine." They whined.

From then on we spoke only of light hearted things, that is until we got onto the topic of school.

"I'm basically failing math." Alice said.

"Alice. No you're not. You get some of the best marks." Erin corrected, "getting one low mark for a Geometry quiz does not mean that you're failing."

"It feels like I am." We all laughed at her.

I felt Archer get uncomfortable by the topic and looked up at him. He looked at me shrugging it off, but I knew something was up, but when Devin started talking about his 'Science skills' it all made sense.

"If you want to see a fail mark, then just ask to see my, or Archer's last science paper." He explained, "Science is kicking our asses." With that said, Archer shot him a glare. "What? Don't feel bad. It's only the one topic." He said in defense.

"Which topic?" I asked curious.

"Oxidation and Reduction." Devin explained.

"Oh." I said.

"Exactly, it's an important topic and it's wiping the floor with our asses." Archer said sighing.

"I can always tutors you guys, if you'd like." I offered.

"If I were you guys I'd take the offer. Aurora is a genius when it comes to science." Alice boasted about me. I felt myself shy away slightly. I am good at Science (I won't lie) and I get the top marks of my class. I'm proud of it, but it feels geeky.

"Thanks, but my older brother is already trying to program the shit into my head." Devin said laughing.

Everyone turned to Archer waiting for his answer to my proposal. He looked uncomfortable under everyone's stares, so I attempted to save him, "There's not pressure, it was only a thought." I said.

"No." He said, "Ill do it. It might be my best shot."

I smiled at him, pleased that he accepted.

"I'm sure studying isn't the only thing they'll be doing." Cody said snickering. They all laughed, except Archer and I. Child.

Archer squeezed my side with his arm.

At least It'll make for an interesting afternoon.

**********

Sorry this chapter was so short. I just needed to play out Aurora's explanation to Caitlyn and Archer and Aurora's first interaction after their 'moment'.

I saw this thing on insta and thought that I'd share. I feel like it's pretty relatable as a Wattpad reader.

Anyway, Hope you enjoyed.
