“Did you get taller”? Ben asked with confusion in his eyes. “Ill tell you later, but right now we need to get back and figure everything out”. I said as I walked over the bodies of my fellow students with some pity in my eyes.
The remaining classes which held living students came out the class room cautiously when they heard Ben and I talking about what to do to survive. Head after head popped out of the two class rooms that were left.” Drake? Ben? What’s going on, do you know anything about what’s happening or what those green monsters are?
A short man came out of the last classroom and hesitantly called out to us as if he was unsure if we are an illusion or not. “Yes, I know. Bring everyone in your class and come to mine we need to have a talk with everyone”. I stressed the word everyone and gave him a look that he understood as he went back and told everyone in his class to come and follow him to get answers.
Seeing everyone gathering at classroom the 6th classroom the survivors left their classrooms and came as well. People from the 4th classroom to the 8th gathered at the 6th classroom. The students gathered at the classroom reached close to 90 people unable to fit everyone inside and to stop fights from breaking out as the tight spots and high tensions may start something I decided to bring everyone to the hallway to talk.
“Hello, everyone, my name is Drake, some of you may know me and some may not. We are here to discuss what to do against the monsters, you want answers as well and I have some. All I ask is that you let me finish speaking and do not interrupt me before I am finished then I shall answer any questions you man have” I paused as the people started to discuss softly while glancing at me. They quickly concluded as it seemed the leader of the various classes nodded their heads at me signaling agreement.

“Ok thank you, I see a lot of you are scared and nervous, but I’m here to tell you what I know and hopefully that will ease your mind some. I don’t know how to sugar coat this so I’m just going to say it bluntly. We are in an otherwise endless forest that houses countless monsters like the green monster. Normally we wouldn’t even survive in this place for a day but thankfully we can cultivate or rather evolve just like the monsters, whether you yourself turn into a monster or not I don’t know but I’m sure once you start you no longer a pure human”. I paused for a second to catch my breath, the faces of the students in front of me had panic and fear etched into their face. Some even had excitement at the fact of becoming stronger past human capability here.
I should pay attention to them, I noted in my mind as I memorized their faces within the crowd of students filled with fear. “In order to survive we must stick together and evolve so I propose we band together and help each other survive. Form a society so to speak, a society with the sole purpose to survive and prosper then find a way home. To do that we need to block off all the exists to here except one then some of us should go down and try to clear the floors of the monsters and find some survivors.
Does anyone volunteer to go down and fight the monsters with me, to fight for yourself and your friends, to become stronger to survive”. The people who gathered and stood listening to me looked stunned at what I said. Just when the silence after my cringy heroic declaration of war became unbearable, Ben raised his hand and said, “Hell yeah”. That woke the rest of the crowd and others started to join.

30 minuets later the entrances to this floor were blocked and guarded by 4 people standing guard with metal poles or pieces of wood. The remaining door which led to this floor that was opened was guarded by 10 people all armed with metal poled. Standing at the deemed checkpoint was me and 6 other people.
Ben, his friend’s lee and Carl. The others were a woman named Rhea and Rebecca, the last was a slim white man who stood at 6 feet. He introduced himself as Adam and he was a quiet person who didn’t make an impact on anyone prior to this. The woman named Rhea had red hair and blue eyed with a huge ass and small boobs. I knew her because I used to crush on her, but we never talked because we never crossed paths. Rebecca was a woman with black hair and black eyes with a decent ass and huge boobs which spilled out of her clothes, but I never had thoughts towards her because one she’s my best friend and two she had a boyfriend the whole time I knew her. They only broke up recently though she wouldn’t tell me the reason why despite us three hanging and being friends for years.
All of us were strapped with to metal rods and some light bandages and other medical supplies inside backpacks along with some food found inside the lunch boxes of the dead. We stared at the door as we all mentally prepared for what was going to happen next, we looked at the stairs in front of us and walked toward with a goal in mind and resolution in our eyes.
