We set out for the kill and rescue mission. “Go up or down”? Adam asked looking at the stairs. “Down”? Rhea suggested looking unsure at her decision. “We will go up first we can’t leave enemies above us if there are any”. I said to the group as I signaled let’s go and walked up the stairs to liberate the students and kill the monsters.

On the 4th floor, right above the floor the society was formed on there were about 30 people who fought against 20 Goblins at the end of the hallway. The 30 people were a mix of men and women but consisting of mostly men who fought hard against the child like goblins. A goblin wouldn’t have a hard time killing a normal human one on one due to the brutal nature in which they were raised and their weapons though crappy still provides an advantage over the normal sheltered humans.

The tiny goblins swung their weapons bashing and cutting the people which stood opposed from them, occasionally someone on either side would drop dead, the humans lost considerably more people at a faster rate but those that are surviving longer are being reborn amid blood and chaos. The students are becoming more vicious and less sloppy in batter, they are becoming stronger as the energy of the goblins they are killing are filling their bodies. Making them stronger in body and their wounds healing little by little. But vice versa the goblins are taking the energy from the humans they are killing and becoming stronger and stronger as the battle reaches a climax at a startling speed.

When the sides looked evenly matched in terms of power 6 people came from the back of the goblins. The 6 people with a 6-foot-tall man with brown hair and brown eyed man leading they rushed into the battle to help the humans. The leader rushed to a goblin covered in blood with a knife dancing around cutting its opponent in front of it, he ran toward like a bulldozer and sent his silver rod hurtling towards the head of the inspecting goblin. The air tumbled and whooshed when the rod rode through the air with a sheen, the powerful rod impacted the goblins head bursting it like a watermelon. Blood and brains flew everywhere as the rod cut through the head like a hot knife through butter. The leader then moved onto other goblins with heavy steps, but this time the goblins knew of the enemies and wouldn’t let them get such easy kills again.

The other men and woman behind the leader split into groups of two as if they discussed what would happen when they encountered a goblin they got into formation fluidly before picking their respective enemies and receiving their own baptism of blood.

With the balance tipped in the favor of the humans the goblins defense collapsed and their struggle started to wear out as the humans reached an agreement and banded together to fight the monsters. Within a few short minuets the goblins were wiped out and the once 30 fighters now only to half. With all injured and a couple critically, unknown whether they will make it or not.

Once the battle was over most fell down to their knees and broke down crying while looking at their dead friends, boyfriends or girlfriends. The appointed leader walked to the group of 6 to talk to them with some caution present in his steps and hand tensed. “Hi, I am Marcus, do you know what is happening here? Who are you? What are those creatures?” The man who introduced himself as Marcus fired question after question and its evident that he is a talkative person, he briefly stopped and then looked at me. “How are you so strong, I’ve seen you before in the baseball games. You were never that strong.” Marcus asked with an inquisitive eye. “I’m Drake and I’ll explain everything I know which much isn’t but it’s something. But, first we need to get everyone to come down to our floor where we have some basic defense but before that lets grab what’s useful.” Drake said as he looked around assessing the situation. “Ben go to the classrooms and get food and supplies; Rebecca and Rhea go around and patch up the wounded. Here, this is my medical supplies, give them yours as well.” Drake said directed at his group.

“Yes” The group swiftly replied and set off to do what Drake assigned them to do with haste. “What about me boss?” Adam feeling left out called out to drake. “Boss? Ha, ok. You and I will go around and check the bodies of the goblins to see if they have an energy orb however unlikely. Then we will grab the corpses of everyone and set them off to the side while marking their name down to tell others the ones who didn’t survive”.

“Ok boss” Adam replied with vigor and picked up a fallen crude knife by a body of a goblin and started to dissect them. It’s a wonder that everyone seemed to adapt very quickly to the cruelness of the forest. Like when we came here something changed in us, like our inner beast was released. But it doesn’t matter because it didn’t seem to change us for the worst nor any detrimental way it just seemed to allow us to adapt and survive in this new environment.

The remaining survivors were gathered and brought to the lower level while the bodies were searched for the orbs, none of the goblins had any meaning none of them were close to the 2nd faze of their evolution, that being a hobgoblin from the memories of the dead goblin Drake first killed. A hobgoblin had about 5 times the battle potential of a normal goblin, a hobgoblin grew to be about an average adults’ size with cut muscles and explosive strength. A hobgoblin would receive higher strength, higher intelligence, speed, and instinct. This put them a few cuts above a normal goblin who seemed like children to them. But an evolution of a hobgoblin is rare as they had to kill tons of beasts before the evolution, normally it would spawn one every few months but now it seems humans are the perfect source of energy for the evolutions of the monsters here or at least the goblins. It allowed goblins with no talent to be able to evolve into something higher, A new race.

When drake killed a goblin, the energy would strengthen his body but most it would reside in the tattoo on his back, still unaware of the symbol on his back he didn’t pay mind to the missing energy as someone with lower or higher talents absorbed lower or higher amounts of energy. He assumed he just had poor or mediocre talent but that didn’t stop him from killing to become stronger and protect his people like Rebecca.

I gathered everyone at the 3rd floor and explained to the new people everything I went over with the first group. There was some resistance because some people didn’t want to be under the other but that was quickly quelled with the majority in agreement in joining the society. The new survivors were split up into groups to either guard or be on standby. Our main fighting force was joined by 2 more people who wished to get stronger and fight the enemies. A woman named Alicia and a man named Charles. One British exchange student and the other an African exchange student. Charles was a 5’10 man with blonde hair and blue eyes, he held feminine features making him very popular with the women. Alicia had black hair blue eyes and dark fair skin, she had wide hips and a big butt, her clothes accentuated her curves making her seem like a seductive beauty while her eyes showed a wild side to her making her a beautiful foreign amazon type woman.
