Ryouta woke up feeling rather refreshed, for some odd reason.
“Huh?” He rubbed his eyes. He felt somewhat different, but could not pinpoint the cause of the feeling.
“Yo-ta!” Shiro, who had been resting by his side, jumped up at the sound of his voice. Her face carried an expression of relief and delight.
“Shiro… how long was I out?”
“Nn… two! Days!” Shiro held up her fingers as she finished counting.
“?! Two days?!”
“Oh, you’re awake?”
The door opened, revealing Elena whose head was bandaged. She carried a bowl of soup in one hand, and a bottle of elixir in the other.
“What happened to your head?”
“Accidentally hit my head when that monster swatted the ship away. Anyways, you should be more worried about yourself. Feeling any better? You’ve been unconscious for a while, now.”
“Hm… I don’t feel bad. If anything, I feel really good right now. Like I’m full of energy.”
“Huh. That’s weird. But it’s good news, so what the heck.”
“What’s that?” Ryouta pointed towards the elixir.
“A health potion.”
“…” Such a thing actually existed?
“Oh, you came from the kingdom, didn’t you? These things aren’t really sold over there because of the Church’s influence. Something about the healers wouldn’t be needed if the potion was mass-produced.”
“I see.”
“Here, some food. I’ll leave you to rest, then.” Elena exited the room after giving Shiro a pat on the head.
“Shiro.”
Seeing the girl’s questioning look, he patted her head. “Did I worry you?” He smiled.
Shiro puffed her cheeks, pinching his hand and biting it, as if saying, ‘take this, this is for making me worry!’
Ryouta laughed at her antics, “sorry, sorry.”

After teasing Shiro for a while, Ryouta went back to resting.
He stared at the ceiling of the small cabin, a multitude of thoughts flashing through his mind. For some reason, he could not shake off the feeling that something was different.
He could tell that his body felt lighter, and his senses were clearer than they had ever been. He could even see the small cracks on the ceiling as if it was in HD.
A thought flashed in his mind.
Could it be… that he levelled up?!
He jumped out of bed in excitement. Finally, after so long, he had finally levelled up!
“Status!”
Without the slightest hint of hesitation, he opened his status window.

In the Light of His Infernal Fire
"It is said that at the night of Walpurgis, the barrier in between worlds is at its weakest. However, for Kyouko and other Magical Girls at Mitakihara, the situation got out of control much sooner as forces from beyond their universe started to creep in to change their fate forever. Beyond the veil of reality, the Dragon stirs, seeking to increase his growing hoard - not with gold or gems, but with people and worlds. Incubators played with magic and fate for far too long uncontested, and a little Blue Planet may be a new prize in the game." Disclaimer: Puella Magi Madoka Magica crossover with Original Setting. The way to get status points were based on the way in Unlimited Power - The Arcane Path. Note: I'm only borrowing the way to get status points as I thought it was cool. I am an amateur author and am writing this as a cool hobby to get me through quarantine. If you see any grammar mistakes or anything, please let me know. Criticism is accepted, but don't use that as an excuse to just hate the book. If you don't like the book, tell me why so I can improve upon it. Cheers! Schedule: 1 chap a day
