Coming to, my head felt Thoroughly scrambled, the pain from unlocking the third seal was at least five times worse. Then when I unlocked the second one, at least I was prepared this time, I thought. I noticed I had sprawled out at some point during my meditation. The twisted blanket, hanging off my bed, told the story of the struggle my body went through as my mind experienced visions. Wincing, I pressed my palm against my throbbing forehead as I struggled to pull myself to a sitting position. Trying my best to block out the pain, I thought of the ways I could lessen it. But all I could think of were things that required, either substantial amounts of concentration or a potion I didn't have access to.
I could tell something was definitely wrong, a lot of my newly acquired memories were foggy at best. It even felt like some of my memories from the second seal were missing. At least this was something I think I could deal with, using a technique from one of the clearer memories I got from the third seal. It was called mental looking glass, from what I could tell from the description it was a type of meditation. But instead of dealing with mana it let you project your awareness into a space that represents your consciousness as a mindscape. Which allows you to use your projection to interact, influence, or alter your mindscape.
That's not so bad I'm just not sure I'll be able to use it, but it's worth a try at least, I thought. Deciding it wasn't worth aggravating my head more, to get into a proper meditation pose. With closed eyes, placing my hands on my knees. Breathing in and out to the tune of my heartbeat. The deeper I sank into meditation, the more the pain in my head felt like the gong of giant bells. Feeling my awareness of everything around me disappear until finally, I even stopped feeling the pain. Just as I reached that state of inner peace, the darkness of my closed eyelids was replaced by sprawling fields of deep blue.

It was apparent what was causing my pain, a dozen of huge chunks of glass were spread through my mindscape, jutting out of the blue field with tore up trenches surrounding them. Pushing my floating projection forward, towards the nearest chunk of glass. On closer inspection, I noticed that the fragments of glass represented my newly acquired memories. Not only that, but there were thousands if not more of small shards of memories scattered everywhere. My mindscape was in shambles it looked like it had been hit by a storm of meteors.
Heading towards what first drew me in this direction, passing a few more chunks of glass, my projection reached the edge of a giant gorge. The dark blue grass that covered the rest of the field was utterly overturned here, leaving a barren and darker color of blue earth in its place. In the center of the gorge sat a huge upside-down glass pyramid. Ignoring the hundreds of the glass shards surrounding it, I had my projection head straight towards it. Focusing my awareness, I had my projection touch the glass pyramid.
Once I had direct contact with it, I could tell it contained all the knowledge about my soulution. I also found a lot of things that dealt with the mind, I even found the mental looking glass technique within it. Deciding to have my projection take a seat on top of the pyramid. As I searched for a method to fix my mindscape. Diving into all the knowledge the pyramid held was daunting. It didn't just hold the knowledge of how to use my soulution. It also had what runes to use to form my core matrix and what spell matrixes I should scribe onto it.
But also information about plants and animals that either had psychic abilities or increased a wide variety of things related to the mind. One that caught my eye was the grey-clad bat if you were to take some of its blood and add it to a mana potion. Not only would the potion restore your mana but it would strengthen our mindscape, not that I had access to a grey-clad bat. Skimming past the section about spells, I finally reached the section about incantations and techniques.

Almost reaching the end, I found a technique that was meant to be used in tandem with the mental looking glass. It's called the method of loci, used to enhance one's memory by attaching memories to a familiar environment to quickly recall information. But my past self improved on the technique by combining it with a spell matrix called crystal palace. It sounds beneficial and because I've lost a lot of memories, from my reckless decision to undo the third seal on my memories. I think that's it's going to be one of my first spell matrixes, I mise well use a palace as the shape of my loci.
Pulling my awareness from the pyramid, I decide this spot is as good as another to build my loci. Sending my awareness, through my mindscape, I call all the chunks and little bits of memory I can. The white clouds overhead were covered by an Aurora of glass swarming in my direction, answering my call. Just focusing on the image of a palace, I let my subconscious do most of the heavy lifting. Shortly after all the pieces had formed what I could only call a rough outline of a palace, could I tell how bad my memory loss was.
With gaping holes everywhere and cracks running through every part save the pyramid in the center, my mind palace was a reck, but it was the best I could do for now. Maybe once I studied the knowledge that the pyramid held in more depth, I could find a better way.

A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.
