Ugh, Where am I, Whatever is going on here is really strange, I thought. All I could see was thick fog, trying to move forward I found that I could move at all. It felt like my body was being weighed down by a mountain, this was completely different than the last time I released one of the seals on my memories. As I heard rumbling, like stone falling on stone, the fog around me began to boil and roll. A giant city made of crystal appeared, its monolith like spires pierced through the sea of fog. It was massive, trying to turn my head to see more of its structure, it looked like the city went on for miles and miles.
With the fog around me gone, I could finally see I was standing in the crystal city. I noticed that the Crystal that made up the whole city. Even the bricks under my feet had murky shades of indigo flowing through it. If going by how average cities were built and the tallest point was at the center, then I was far away on the outskirts. The rumbling in the distance, Sounding like it was getting closer. Everything started to shake and letting out a cry of fracturing crystal. The part of the city I was in, separated from the rest, began to fall.
As it fell, it began to break up into smaller and smaller pieces, until only a small circle around me was whole. My decent started to pick up speed as the crystal I was locked to began to spin. What felt like an eternity of spinning later, became a heart-stopping moment of panic. Ounce I realized the crystal under me was starting to crack, bits and pieces flinging off into the inky darkness around me. With no warning, the whole thing shattered, closing my eyes as I fell through the cloud of diamond dust. With a jarring smash, I hit something substantial, taking just one sweet second to savor the lack of movement.

Opening my eyes, I dragged my Weary body up, the first thing I noticed was that I wasn't back in my room. But in another vision, this time I was on a grassy hill overlooking a small town in the distance. Standing to my right was my past self, staring at his wrinkled face, I could see him talking, but the words didn't match his lips and what he was saying didn't make sense. Gesturing into the air making glowing diagrams appear that I couldn't understand, he was obviously trying to explain something to me. I just didn't understand what he was trying to say but trying my best to piece everything together, I listened.
“ Crystal Palace……… soulution…..
not….. but you…………
I found……... Dark heart…… still not………….
……..hope you……...
Blue Book….. combines……… best of…...
If you………..
can be fine……….
your choice……….. don't rush……….”
My past-self said, continuing to gesture at the shifting diagram beside him.
The best I could decipher is that he was talking about my choices of soulution. One of the most important decisions in becoming a Magus is picking which core matrix soulution to use. It will shape your path, what your capable of, and overall profoundly affect how far you can go. Not being able to hear what he's saying about my choices could definitely affect my choice of soulution.
As he swept his arm at me, the shifting diagram, split into three separate circle-shaped pieces. Flying towards me coming to a stop, they floated within arms reach of me. The one on the left had an outline of a castle. While the middle one had an outline of a book and the one on the right had fangs under a four-pointed star.
First looking at the left one its green glow plus the castle outline. Made me think of the Jade Palace and the fact that this is the soulution that my past self must have used. While Middle one with the blue glow and the outline of a book must be the blue book soulution, he tried to tell me about. Then the final one has to be the Dark heart, which if I remember correctly is the soulution of the Dark Magi. It's not a hard choice to make, I don't want to follow in my past selves footsteps, and I definitely don't want to be a Dark Magus. Especially after they caused all that chaos, so that leaves me with the Blue-book soulution.

I've been making do, with all the forced and unexpected changes. That have come my way, why stop now. I thought reaching to grab what I'm pretty sure is the Blue-book soulution. Just after my finger went through the small blue circle, everything faded to black.

But John’s life wasn’t always such a mess: Everything began when he accidentally invented a way to rewind time… Weekly Schedule: At least a ~3.5k words chapter every Wednesday and Sunday.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
