While all of this was going on Adam could sense that something wasn't right about tonight, he had developed a kind of sixth sense for danger during all of these years fighting all sorts of monsters. If he hadn't had this ability he would have died long ago unable to deal with all of the unique monsters that came from the crack. Some of them could have an ability to blend into the environment, these are especially dangerous because they wait until your guard is at it's lowest. That is when they would attack, these type of monsters have claimed the most of humanity's race because they were so sneaky. Adam almost lost his life to one, there is a nasty scar that goes from his neck to his thigh he is lucky to have lived this long. With Elyse bye their side though they can see these monsters coming, that is why she is so important, and why they haven't died yet.

(a) Elyse, I can sense something dangerous close bye can you see anything with your skill.

(Elyse) No, I can't are you sure there is something dangerous close bye Adam.

(Tom) (Jesus how sharp are his senses.)

Tom was creeping behind them, currently, they are in a cave with many indents in them because it was crudely made. Adam just bulldozed through the very earth, though it did take him a month to create. What Tom was doing was contacting the intelligent monsters telling them their coordinates, some of you may ask why is he doing this. Well, the monster struck Tom a deal if he sold out the last of the human race they wouldn't kill him and the people of his choosing.

(Tom) I just have to wait for the intelligent monster to come he should be here any moment.

As he was thinking this he decided to come out of the shadows and put his plan into motion, it has been 9 months in the making but finally, everyone will see that tom is the true main character. They have all been misled by Adam truly if tom was in control no one would have died for tom is the true hero. After getting rid of Adam and his loyal puppets Tom would have the freedom to do whatever he wanted. Adam had stopped Tom from killing off the people that couldn't defend themselves or help kill monsters. Truly Tom thought Adam was an idiot, why keep all of these useless people all they do is waste space and take their already limited food supply. With this on his mind all the while Tom was walking slowly towards Adam to enlighten him of his role, though he did check how much time until the monster would be here. Sure he may have the monsters on his side but Adam is still the strongest one here( for now). If anyone had heard Tom's thought they would have totally pegged him for a narcissistic bastard, and they would be correct for he thought he alone was worthy of leading humanity to the light.

(Tom) Hello Adam and Elyse how are you guys doing this evening?

(a) I heard you were acting weird tonight Tom what are you up to now, I told if you tried to do anything fishy that you would die by my hands right.

As Adam said all of this he got right in front of Tom unafraid of the man in every way possible. How could he be afraid of Tom, the guy was a lazy bastard that thought he was god reincarnated, truly Adam didn't think highly of him.

(Tom) Already threatening me you really are a savage Adam, why can't I just talk to my friends.

(a) You and I both know that we aren't friends now cut to the chase Tom, or should I kill you without any last words.

At this moment Adam had come to his wit's end he has been ready to kill tom ever since his first betrayal. The only reason Tom stands today is that Adam didn't want to kill another human being needlessly like Tom. The first betrayal was when Tom had forced his will on the weak and would rape the women, this man tried to defend himself saying he was reproducing and helping the human race grow. After that Adam had beaten he wasn't recognizable afterward. Tom had hated Adam since that day because Tom could be some called somewhat handsome before that moment. After that Tome was just a husk of his former self, truly he looked absolutely disgusting after that moment.

 (Tom) Honestly, it's simple Adam bow down to me and admit that I am the greatest, bow down and beg for your life.

Honestly, Adam didn't know how to react to such a bold statement, especially since it was coming from Tom. Though everyone knew that this is what Tom was thinking the entire time, he knew that if he ever said this out loud Adam would end his life right then and there. And that is what Adam planned to do, he pulled out a blade obviously weathered from all the battles that Adam had seen while traveling through this broken world. If one looked hard enough they could see that this was a soul bound sword, the sword would level up with however wields it. The only downside is that the blade would show the state of your will, and that is why it looked so beat up Adam was truly drained from all this fighting and running.

(Tom) Why do you keep fighting Adam can't you see that I've won now everyone will see that I'm the true leader and that only I can show us the way.

At this point, Adam sixth sense was going off like crazy, but it couldn't be Tom that was making it go off. That is when Adam felt it a dagger had penetrated his back, and when it did he also felt a sort of coldness coming from the blade. This threw Adam for a loop because the only person behind him was his love, his world, everything Elyse. Adam looked behind him and saw Elyse with a dagger smiling as she stared into his eyes.

(a) Why???

(Elyse) Because you have grown weak Adam, your blade chips away every day even now it continues to deteriorate. And honestly, I'm tired of running when Tom approached me with an offer I had to take it. We no longer have to run the monsters said they wouldn't kill us if we ratted everyone and killed you, though I didn't think it would be this easy.

As all of this was being said Elyse walked over to Tom and he held her in a way you would think they were together. Adam at this point had reached a breaking point, his mentality caved and kneeled onto the floor, truly if someone had watched the situation they wouldn't know if he kneeled from the pain in his heart or the poison.

(a) So it was all a lie when you told me you loved me and that when this was all over we would marry.

(Elyse) I can't be with someone that has already given up on everything Adam really you should think about me. I didn't want to do this but I have to protect myself after all of you are rounded up me and Tom shall be safe and have formed a partnership.

The whole time no one could see Adam's face as he looked down.

(a) And you really think that they will let you guys live, really I pegged you guys to be smarter than that.

Then a sudden pressure was felt everyone felt it even Adam from this anyone could deduce that the monster had finally come. Then within the tunnel, a monster could be seen carrying a body, it was eating the arm of the said human. As it came closer one could see that the human body was Eddie Adams most dependable friend. The monster looked absolutely horrendous it was of the undead variety with skin falling off of its body, but no one would take that as a weakness as it was at champ1 stage2. With this level of strength, it could wipe out all of them at once Adam was only at diamond stage3 this was too steep of a gap between strength.

(a) Eddie!!!!! What have you done Tom you have done, you have doomed us all.

Adam stood up with whatever strength he had left inside of his body, truly that poison was working at an incredible speed to keep Adam at such a weakened state.

(Tom) Stop resisting Adam I have won and I shall save those how I deem worthy of saving, you could have been saved Adam but you didn't see it my way. Really you should have sided with me you could still be on your feet and well being my bodyguard.

While he said this tom walked over with a look on his face that promised malicious intent.

(monster) Honestly, I don't care what you to do to him just make sure that he dies, he has been a major problem but now he shall breathe his last today.

Adam looked up and scared all of them with the look on his eyes, he really looked insane no one would have told you that this was the Adam that they knew.

(a) I this is it guess....uuhhhh.

While Adam tried to say this Tom had kicked him right in his chest, then in his face.

(Tom) You don't get to talk anymore Adam I will make you pay for making me look the way I do now. I will make you regret ever going against me, Adam!!!!!

With this Tom started to repeatedly beat Adam as if it was going out of style, purposely aiming for his face and groin. While all of this was going on Adam would try to protect himself, albeit with whatever strength was left.

(Tom) Did you use the poison properly Elyse he shouldn't be able to move let alone see?

(Elyse) I made sure to do it properly you just aren't strong enough.

she stabbed Adam again with the poisoned dagger.

(Elyse) Die already we have to go.

Adam couldn't believe what was going on really this was the worst day, his girl stabbed him in the back, Tom was currently beating the shit out of him, and a monster of the champ level was watching while eating his best friend. To sum it all up Adam was crushed mentally, these guys have crossed the line while moonwalking and shitting on it. Who was Adam, is he a man that can be so easily stepped on.

(a) NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

AS he screamed he moved with a speed that shouldn't be there, he proceeded to crush Tom's windpipe by punching it so hard that it looked like a lower case c.

(Tom) unintelligible gurgle!!!!!

Immediately after Adam kicked Elyse in the head so hard that a cracked resounded, she landed on the floor unmoving.

(a) puff!! puff!! come get some you fucking zombie

The zombie looked at Adam and laughed

(Zombie)m Truly a magnificent display of will power, the poison is strong enough to immobilize a champ level practitioner yet here you stand. This is where your luck runs out though I was never going to uphold the deal after they killed you I was going to eat them and everyone else. Thank you for the show though I got to see an interesting show and I get to have a feast. 

As the zombie moved slowly towards Adam there was another surprise waiting for him, Adam suddenly had a boost in strength. Adam had suddenly become champ stage1, this was a huge leap from diamond stage 3. there was a legend that said if you have enough emotion you could make jumps, but only if it is an extreme level of emotion. This is a level of emotional shock that the person would no longer have a healthy mental state because the shock would be too great.

(a) I will make you regret ever thinking that you could just come into my base and eat my best friend!!!!

(zombie) truly an interesting individual.

The zombie ran at Adam with a speed that a regular human would only see a blur. Adam picked up his blade, as he did so you could see that it has changed, now it had a reddish color to it. This was so much different then his old sword which had a blue sort of aura to it, it would give off a feeling like it was meant to protect. While his new blade had a reddish aura, this one would give you a feeling as if it would cut you at any moment. Their blades clashed and Adam flew towards the wall leaving an indent after he fell out of it, landing on his feet.

(a) (fuuuuuuck I need to beat him, He will kill everyone I can't let them all die if I don't stand my ground.)

(a) Is that all you got you stupid cunt, really are you champ stage2.

this would continue for a bit but Adam was visibly losing the fight, he really was pushing himself to the very limit fighting while poison was still running through his veins.

(zombie) You really are an interesting individual, but now I end this DIE!!!!!

At this moment the zombie swiped his blade at Adam's neck, Adam suddenly had an epiphany.

(a)( The blade isn't a weapon it is an extension of myself that I control as if is my limbs.)

With this in mind, Adam suddenly moved his blade as if it was truly an extension of himself, it blocked the zombie's blade in such a way that Adam didn't have to use any strength at all. Then he countered, aiming for the zombie's neck.

SLASH!!!!!!!!!

It is funny how things work sometimes, like how in animes the main character has plot armor that no one can get through. This isn't an anime though the zombie barely blocked Adam's blade, then proceded to stab Adam through his chest.

(zombie) Really you were so close, this is the stubbornness we are trying to weed out of the human race. Slowly we are pulling it out, but people like you drive me up the wall, pushing so hard and for what. One of your own rated you out and you love quite literally stabbed you in the back why do you keep fighting.

(a) I have no choice we are the last of the human race we won't be stepped on so easily.

(zombie) you talk as if your still fighting, you've lost give up.

(a) let me let you in on a secret.

Adam moves closer dragging himself on the blade, ultimately reaching the hilt.

(a)I'm still in this fight!!!!!

With this said Adam sacrifices himself by imploding his cultivation, destroying himself and the zombie. after the explosion, the cave caved in.

(a)( I can finally rest, though I hope Merlin can lead the rest of the of humanity.)
