《Chosen - A CYOARPG》Prologue - Statistics

Being a Rogue is certainly useful within a city. Not just because you can get around unseen, but also due to having a quick wit, and the ability to discern use for things that perhaps others do not see. With a keen eye and a keen mind, you will be able to surpass your challenges ahead.
At least, I hope.
You began tinkering when you were young. Tinkering was something not many found use for, mostly due to the fact it was dangerous and didn’t profit much. However, a Rogue with the ability to tinker is not something that others should underestimate, there are few things as terrifying. With tinkering your imagination binds you to the usefulness of the skill.
There was one particular day when you were still young that you found yourself inside a small store. The owner was a dwarven woman, perhaps in her earlier 40s if she was a human, and was currently trying to tend to a small noble lady from another city. She had not found anything that she would have liked, that was until she saw what you were holding.
The trinket that you had brought with you for trade had sold for 20 gold pieces, a great sum for someone so young. The dwarf had sprinkled a few lies about how you were her apprentice, and that you would be happy to sell such an item for the stated price just for the little lady, which brought her store some prestige. After taking her cut of 20 percent, she returned the favour by taking you in as her apprentice and started to teach you all about the wonderful ways of tinkering. After a couple of weeks, she even told you her name. Rebeca Roamhammer.
Now that we are close to finishing the completion of your backstory, we should speak about your statistics.

Your stats are 10, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13.
As a human, your stats increase to 11, 11, 12, 13, 14, 14.
The average skill is between 8 and 13. The base statistics start at ten. For each even number above 10, you will gain a bonus. For each odd number under 10, you gain a penalty.
Certain skills will also use a trained bonus, which is based off of your level. This increases every few levels.
There are six attributes that we should take note of.
Strength.
This will determine your ability to overcome obstacles using your physical strength. This is also the default ability for melee weapons. For a Rogue, this isn’t entirely useful.
Constitution.
This will determine your ability to overcome obstacles using your toughness. This will determine your hit points. For a Rogue, this isn’t entirely useful if you intend to remain away from melee during combat.
Dexterity.
This will determine your ability to overcome obstacles using your agility. This is useful for sneaking around, picking locks, among a whole slew of other skills, and ranged weapons use this as their modifier, as well as certain melee weapons. For a Rogue, this is essential. For tinkering is essential too.
Intelligence.
This will determine your ability to overcome obstacles using your … well, intelligence. This is to recall information, or to investigate. For a Rogue this is useful. For tinkering it is essential.
Wisdom.
This will determine your ability to use the information that you have recalled usefully. This is to track opponents, to handle animals, to see the emotional state of others, to detect lies, as well as to perceive threats around you. For Rogues, this is useful.
Charisma.
This will determine your ability to overcome obstacles using your silver tongue. This is to convince others of your good intentions, whether it be true or a lie, as well as to perform to others. For Rogues, this is useful.
I will allow you to choose where you wish to place your statistics.

Dying sucks. Waking up in a world filled with Aliens, Gods, and Monsters sucksx2. Learning that I'm technically still dead, well that takes the cake.

8 223Reality's Gate: Stealing The Gifts Of The Gods
One day, earth managed to create an alternate Reality Gate. However, it malfunctioned, molding our reality with the other. In this, it became commonplace to jump between worlds, create magical wonders, destroy and create with but a whim. The biggest change though came from something that was truly unique: The "gifts" given at birth. These "Gifts" given by the gods of that reality were now bestowed upon our Reality as well. Yet, there was one person who wasn't given a gift. And in a last ditch effort of The Anomalous One to fight the gods gave him a gift since the gods wouldn't. Though it was a gift for him, it was a curse for others... This is a story about The Successor of the Ouroboros, who was given the gift of thievery, the gift of taking what the gods give to others and using it for his own purposes. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ This is not a good guy's story. This is someone filled with hate. This is someone who wants revenge against the gods who didn't give him a gift. This. Is. The. Anti-hero. Of. Anti-heroes.
