《Authority [Dropped]》Chapter 9

Chapter 9: Beginning (3).
Titus found a tree with flat leaves and plucked two leaves from it. Titus stacked the two on top of each other to reinforce blockage of vision and put it on by tying it around his head as a mask.
After yesterday's training, Titus was already beginning to subconsciously accept this newly acquired power. Although unstable it will not be soon after this deciding fight.
Titus crept closer and closer to the deer in the most blatant of ways. He approached it as if approaching his lover that had just come back home from overseas clearly suggesting that he wants to get its attention.
The deer however still lying under the tree bathing at the sun's glory did not mind him. As a mere glance of the deer to Titus made it dissatisfied as it found Titus annoying especially when it glanced upon Titus' face covered by leaves. 'What an idiot.' Is what the deer should have in its mind right now as it quickly got back to its indifference and focused on relaxing itself.
Of course Titus did not see this. Even though he had paranoic senses nonetheless he was not able to detect it for two reasons. One was because of both Titus and the skill being low level and second his low proficiency aka stage two, the process of training.
Titus was walking according to his senses kept getting closer until it was only half a meter away from the deer as indicated by his senses. Once he felt the deer he immediately divided his mind into two focuses. One is to the deer itself and two to his surroundings, and it was all possible through his another skill he acquired recently 'focus' that allowed him to multitask.
Titus bent his waist until his whole upper body was parallel to the ground used his right hand as a foothold to the ground with his left hand being used to balance his body just like professional runners do at the starting line. Titus' muscles tensed and with great force coming from the cooperation of his whole body which of course can only be done through his skill, 'synchronization'. Although it is a cheat skill it is only is a cheat skill for people like Titus whose minds were computers that can recall every single detail as 'synchronization' will not just perform just because you visualized only the general idea of the action and not with 'how' to perform the action.

This is why you read kids and adults as it exercises your brains!
Titus shot through like an arrow and swiftly closed the gap between him and the deer. In a matter of literal three seconds Titus was at the deers face whose head was still down and descively swung his extended claws towards the neck of the deer slitting five gashes along it. The deer was not even able to utter a cry as the deer's tender neck which as softer than the rabid dog and added with Titus' strengthened claws smoothly accompanying the action. The battle started and ended in a manner of literal five seconds including with the two seconds of Titus posturing and testing the first ever he "consciously" used 'synchronization.
At this point Titus already took of his 'blindfolds.'
'The was anticlimactic!'
Titus dully thought but nonetheless reasoned with himself that because the deer despite a level 0, was a peaceful animal to begin with and second its arrogance towards Titus not paying him attention. That was because, as upon closer look it was a baby deer and thought in its baby mind that deers are regals while Imps were boorish peasants that only plays tricks as implied by Titus' blindfolds. Clearly the baby deer was as green as a leaf.(idiom of inexperienced)
Once he got over that thought, Titus felt everything and 'the' anything that was mentioned from the description of the skill as his already raised vigilance soared so high that it increased his sensitivity making him slightly uncomfortable, a sign that he broke through. However it is to be expected because if not then there would be no point in having a stage three where just letting the things go with flow. In short getting used to where the possibility rise of consuming a higher amount of time, as according to Titus' estimation; the day after tomorrow.
.
.
.
Titus got a pice of meat through the most primitive way he could think of. He bit the belly of the deer where most of its flesh lies with his bare Impish fangs making him look bloody as indicated by the blood running through his mouth and chin.
Titus who only desired to test his hypothesis quickly got a vine and made an effort to hang the deer. But before that he first opened its bitten stomach and removed the innards through a branch he found laying on the ground.
After doing so Titus with the piece of meat in hand moved far away from the scene and found a relatively secluded place and built a small campfire. Using two branches and rubbing them together he created fire just like a pre historic human and used fallen branches and leaves to fuel the fire. He skewered the piece of meat unto the more sturdier branch and let it sit atop the fire to cook.

Closing his eyes he started mediating and used his consciousness to tamper with paranoic senses. Doing so he passed time and was able to control a fourth of the added sensitivity until he was forced to stop by the urge to eat the cooked meat that he discovered the already cooked meat through his paranoic senses. 'Amazing indeed', he thought as he nodded in his thoughts.
Titus ate the piece of meat and gulped it in whole without bothering to chew. Closing his eyes he started sensing his body. After a while he then discover-
Discovered a benefit but was only slight and came to a conclusion that although it does have benefits it cannot directly make you leap a level and at most can only increase statistics such as strength and etc, at least from monsters like this but he doesn't know things about like 'dragon' meat. Although he chose to bite the meat off the deer because of the lack of materials, he also did it to test if he can also enhance himself by eating it raw slash gulping some blood but he did not notice it as he forgot because he was too preoccupied by cooking the meat until he has playing with paranoic senses and the same with the cooked meat there was a slight change but a bit higher than the cooked one.
As he was busy with his thoughts he was suddenly reminded of, his mother, when she told him to eat food to get stronger when he was still a toddler. Reaching up to this point he started looking back unto the most unforgettable scene of his life...
While sitting beside the campfire, Titus remiscice to his past as he began recounting his experience.
Flashback*
In the kitchen.
Titus' Mother was sitting on the table while Titus asked about what food his mother wanted.
Hearing her reply he immediately searched the food and got into cooking as if he already cooked the requested dish even though it was his first time cooking this kind of this as he let his mother chose French cuisines he heard from the blogs. Titus then served dinner to his mother after he was finished cooking. "Better to eat while it's hot." Titus reminded tenderly.
Vivid scene* (remember, it's VIVID)
The scene was stiff...
While eating his mother asked him to find wife and such and not just studying and studying and studying and more merits because she wants none of that. His mother then began sobbing. His Mother said, "what you had done is already enough. It even reached to the point that you can perform minute actions just by reading the recipe of this French cuisine once. You were recognized by the world as the greatest scientist that redefined quantum mechanics as your thesis. You even settled the turmoil by proving yourself right and your thesis correct after graduation. But still even with all that, you still keep studying. Studying is enough and try to enjoy yourself instead. "
Titus mumbled, 'but it is the only thing I enjoy. Wife? My heart did not even beat for someone in my whole life apart from my family...'
End of vivid scene*
Years later...
And with that, Titus' experiences can be summed up into this bullsh*t part of his life that he did bother to remember, except by the time line, the details even though it was not hard for him either to do so...
His mother died.
Titus created a machine.
And he came here.
...
"Life's is nothing but a beach. (b*tch)"
- Titus White
...
And maybe because he was deranged and wanted to none but himself to control his life at those moments he was brought on this world 'specifically' among the vast world's in queue...
End of flashback*
Authors note:
If anyone's curious, all of Titus current skill are all base skills and are all ranked at the very bottom meaning low and 0 stars as it was just his first level up and all of his skills were either innate or acquired by performing a feat thus only they are beale to rank up as he gets stronger.
I think this chapter is also a break through for me also in terms of writing as I clearly felt while editing this that I felt like reading one of the published books that I shamelessly borrowed to read from my classmates.
And it was only possible through your guys feedbak and support!
And hey, yes you!
"Crywolfseven" your awesome!!! And thank you so much for your deeds 😁.

8 218A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
