Inside a gray space Vel was facing a man in a butler outfit and looks to be about in his mid-thirties.
“What is this place and who are you” Vel asked while only seeing gray space and trying to stay calm.
“I am your trainer and butler call me Leigh and this place we are at is your training ground”
“how do I leave” Vel asked as he didn’t know how he got here.
“By simple thinking of wanting to exit”
“What the training ground for” Vel asked
“To turn you into the best Assassin” Leigh said pulling up his status screen.
Name: Vel
Assassin Title: Assassin God
Rank: Trainee
Experience: 0/100
“What is the rank about” Vel asks looking at this totally confused.
“The ranks go like: Trainee, Apprentice Assassin, Assassin, Master Assassin, Grandmaster Assassin” System patiently answered his questions.
“How do I gain experience” Vel asked.
“By killing of course and the system will give you quest from time to time which you have to complete”
“When do we start” Vel asked as this is his first step toward revenge.
“Now and we’re going to start off with survival skills” Leigh said and the surround changed into a forest.
“Survival skills?” Vel looked confused not understanding as he wanted to get strong quickly.
“Survival skills has many advantages to you as an assassin because they will teach you how to survive almost anywhere or situation, next how track and locate target and help by honing your senses” Leigh replied and begins to teach the basics skill set.
Vel begins to watch and learn like a sponge soaking up information mastering the basics. Leigh also taught him how to blend in and conceal his presence as while his first skill known as ‘ghost steps’ which removes all sound from his steps when completely mastered.

After what felt like a week Vel exit the training ground but only an hour passed outside.
“Leigh said I mastered basic survival skills and has a solid foundation in ‘ghost steps’” Vel said as he heading to the forest to locate food as he hasn’t eaten in a week an extremely staved with hardly any energy to move.
When he walked into forest began putting his new skills to the test as he began tracking down his targets such as rabbits or small animals along with edible plants. After he hunted down and captured three rabbits he skinned them but ate in small settings as he hasn’t eaten in a week and didn’t want to die from overeating.
“Time to start training” Vel said putting away his knife he received from his parents on his eighth birthday. The knife had simple look but has a skull on its handle. His father said it used to belong to his great-great-great grandfather who was a famous assassin who even killed the king and disappeared without a trace.
A week has passed since Vel receive the system. Now Vel felt was the day he should leave behind his village and headed toward the nearest town.
The town since it located near the border and the noble who rules the area never pays any attention to it the crimes are a daily occurrence. Vel made his way through the gate with ease as most of the guards are corrupt and he handed over some animal furs that worth few silver.
“This place is a great place to gain experience” Leigh said as he looked through Vel eyes.
“I need to find my base of operation” Vel started looking for an area where he can hide and had space to train in.
As Vel walked around the town looking he soon arrived at abandon warehouse that looked no one entered in years.

“This place is perfect” was Vel thinking as entered and looked inside. The inside was mostly empty as most of it was moved after it was abandon and looks like the homeless stays far away from this place as it's about a forty-minute walk to the main road.
“Mission 1: Assassinate Guard Captain Chris Time limit: 86 Hours”
“My first mission” Vel said excitedly as he can put his new skill to the test.
As Leigh watched Vel excitement he was worried as the boy going to taking it as a game. So, when Vel entered next time he going to start training his mental state.
“Leigh, I got my first mission” Vel appeared in the training ground.
“Vel why are you treating this as a game being an assassin is not a game. The assassins who treat it as a game are the one who dies first or went insane and ended themselves” Leigh begins warning him about how dangerous his thought process could affect him.
“That was bad as I was treating this as a game” Vel was afraid he ended up dying before he got his revenge.
“Leigh can I have a simulation to practice on” Vel asked as never practice sneaking around guards and guard dogs.
“Very well the first level is to break in and kill the low ranking noble and exit without being detected” Leigh gave him instruction on what his mission was.
The training ground change and Vel was outside the walls of the noble house late at night. Vel climbs up the wall only to be caught by guard dogs leading him to be bitten to death. Vel kept trying over and over but still kept getting caught by the dogs or a patrolling guard.
“This is serious hard” Vel said as Leigh appeared by his side.
“Being an assassin is a very stressful job that why most don’t have long careers but the ones that do have some way to help relax for example sitting alone or light training or reading and list goes on. But the ones who sit alone or don't have relaxing method have a higher chance of killing themselves” Leigh gave him advice about the psychology of assassin.
“But how that going to help me with this” Vel wanted advice on how to get through this.
“You have the skills but you’re not using all of them and think outside the box and not like a thief” Leigh said before disappearing.
“Think outside the box… I got it” Vel said as he lured a guard over and knocking him out while taking his outfit before he ran into a problem he looks like a kid. He found few poles nearby which could give him the height and modification to the arms making his face the problem.
“As long I have my face down I should be fine” Vel said as he walked into the mansion and walk toward the nobles’ room. He quickly gives them a fake order about a group trying to attack and they need to rush there to help.
“So glad Leigh taught how to change the sound of my voice” Vel quickly entered the room and walked beside the bed and slashed the noble throat and left after making sure he died.
He made his way out undetected and complete the training level.
“Congratulations you completed level one” Leigh said.
“Thanks” Vel said before leaving the training ground and went to sleep.
