《Subjugation of Gods》Gathering of the Sages

Planet Mo Quan was a rich planet with tremendous life aura. The planet was a part of Triple Star System, there were two young stars and one white dwarf, all three tidally interlocked. This corresponded to varying climates, and harsh temperature gradients across some unfortunate planets in the system. Mo Quan, fortunately, was in the habitable zone, and throughout the full planetary year there was always insolation, which however varied.
The hermitage was located in the lowly country of Furong in the northern hemisphere of planet Mo Quan. Furong was a country full with abundant wilderness and deep jungles and ravines, rarely do mortals come here where beasts roamed peacefully. This portion had the lowest spiritual energy, still life was thriving here, since this wasn't an ordinary planet, but a gifted one. In the OU, such a planet would have lead to the growth of countless Gods, however here this energy was preserved, and infused within the life of each being. Such mysteries of Outer Void have been unsolved by daoists.
Outer Void was already a region where there were no divine realms, there were cultivators native to the galaxy clusters, however no native ascendants. There was an unspoken Ban on Immortal Ascension here, and cultivators couldn't in anyway entangle with the life of mortals who were in majority throughout all superclusters in this space. Many cultivators had tried to destroy this Ban once and for all so that they could exercise control outside the Observable Universe (OU) as well, but this wasn't just a mere restriction or formation, it is an unprecedented formation that's been intact since time immemorial. The Ban has become a protection for the whole Outer Void as well as a death zone for any God stage cultivators. Although they can roam there, if they dare to interfere in any way with the life of mortals or the star clusters they would face the unsolicited wrath from the Ban's cosmic consciousness. As many Gods from the OU have said, the Ban has the Will of some being on a level equivalent to a Primordial God. And this Ban would not be able to be lifted until that being is yet in existence.

At this moment, in the airspace, in the peak of day at noon, apart from the triple suns shining gloriously, there were six rainbow rays in formation penetrating the atmosphere. The old man who was busy reminiscing woke up immediately, feeling the presence of someone, six people appeared outside the hermitage, two women and four men, leading them all was a grey bearded middle aged man. "Old Seventh, what brought you along with seniors here."
A sweet female voice came unaware as an answer, "Old Seventh is excited to see if this junior would be able to conquer his test, it would be really interesting to witness the growth of Eighth."
A young boy, dressed in the clothes of a merchant was eating apple candy in one hand, and carrying bow in other, laughingly said, "All of us are excited because the kid you brought Old Sixth, has passed all the Six tests without even a single failure in the first attempt itself!! Didn't you notice when he passed through your own test?"
The old man gasped, "So, my sight wasn't wrong all this time! Ah! I was just busy doing my daily activities that I missed on his progress. "
A middle-aged beautiful lady in daoist grey robes, stepped on threshold of the thatched hut and shouted, "Old Sixth, your hospitality has waned off lately. You don't even welcome your seniors like you did a thousand years ago. Have you become too arrogant of your comprehension of the realm. If so, why not engage in a fight with me? "
"Sorry Second Senior Sister! How do I dare compete with you? Welcome to my humble home, make yourself comfortable." With folded hands, he respectfully welcomed the entourage who had arrived from who knows where across the Outer Void. Speaking to this lady, brought shivers to him and memories of his Second Test, the most terrible test of his entire lifetime, the Test of Obsession and Inner Desire, as someone who wasn't a celibate, he had to deal with this sister's charms and explosive temper. It took him five years to pass the test but even thinking about it, made his back completely wet.

The grey bearded man frowned, " Second Senior Sister, you know full well why you haven't attained the level of True Sage, if you don't contain your explosiveness, it will take you maybe more millennia to reach the Cosmic level." Hearing his chiding, the young lady's head dropped. In seniority, she was the second highest of this generation undoubtedly, but everyone knew that Old Seventh was the most qualified among them and his words carried weight that pinched into one's ego. Any other mortal or cultivator would have become enraged upon hearing this. However, if a Sage lacks composure to see and hear the truth about one's own nature, that person is no Sage itself, and their downfall occurs
Some of the sages nodded in their junior's agreement. Rest all were busy in observing the make of the hut, and didn't open mouth. Meanwhile in a parallel realm, that was located in the inner arms of the Outer Void, the young boy was staring at a enormous Jade Tablet, with each completed test, it's markings changed. Now there was a blood aura emanating from it, and the words appeared, "Blood Refinement." But below there was something more, hunch appeared in mind. Below appeared the instructions of Blood Refinement, "Refine your blood with mental energy, consuming all lower strains, activate the hidden ancient bloodline within."
The boy was stunned within but exhibited ethereal calmness, "Why do you want me to activate bloodline?"
The grey-bearded man was rapt in meditation and his sense went across the void, and was astonished by this aura of calmness circulating about the boy. This was something that only a real Sage, who walked on the sacred path could have , "This is a gift that each Sage gets, upon walking this path, your primary debt of clan, parents and ancestors will wiped out when you refine your bloodline. This is a requirement as well for all Sages. With each debt removed, your understanding of Karma and subtleness of the laws of universe reaches a higher level. This also serves as a protection for your original body if it encounters any harm. Although body is not the most important part of a sage, however you need to do this step for self-protection. With bloodline refinement, you will be able to invoke memories of ancient times, and lost techniques of your ancestors, which they have fused within the blood. Your closest blood relatives would be benefitted by this too, reshaping their body and making them equivalent to Half Immortals. Now, continue with the test, because this is not the only one."
In the thatched hut, the young man eating apple candy broke the silence, "Old Seventh! Bloodline refinement is the responsibility of each sage to wipe out one of Three Primary Debts, why did you give it as a Test?"
The grey bearded man opened his eyes, and a blinding light filled the room, "His blood isn't ordinary! There is a strong symbiosis evident, a familiar feeling. You still don't know who he is, First Senior Brother and Third Senior Sister?"

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Verdant Heart Seed - A Reverend Insanity fan-fiction
Back in the Late Antiquity Era, the protagonist meets his untimely demise. But Heaven and Earth always leaves a way out, his new cultivation journey begins anew on the path of reclaiming his former strength and defying Fate.---This is a story about a native cultivator of the Gu world. He lived in the era of/before Spectral Soul Demon Venerable (two venerable eras before the main RI plot). He suffered the rise of the demon venerable, barely able to make his arrangements before his death. He manages to rebirth, but doesn't everything go as planned. The story starts off in an isolated small word (grotto heaven), until the MC can grow and reclaim his former glory, before surpassing it. (long way, he was already rank 8 before) The MC has a pragmatic worldview, aligned with what you would expect from someone living hundreds of years in that kind of hostile environment. He doesn't shy away from immoral acts if it benefits him. The MC bears close resemblance to Fang Yuan in this regard, but his goal is not eternal life. One of my aims was to showcase the later introduced cultivation rules into the mortal cultivation (dao marks, attainment etc.) and explore novel scenarios within this highly technical cultivation environment.
