《I Am The GUIDE》[Vol.1] 0030: Unexpected Development (1)

'Hey, is the bluebird doing better?'
It has already been two hours since their escape, however, they have not yet heard about the bluebird.
[I am not sure.]
They are very far from where Azure is as the trade was in the opposite direction. The huge gap made it harder for Daniel to completely grasp what was happening on the other side without removing his recording.
Yes, Daniel was doing multitasking right now. He has been recording everything he can see and hear, so they should be able to know soon.
Of course, Daniel could not interfere with his recording, the main reason he could not know what was happening on the other side.
'Hmm.'
Reece was restless.
Not until he was sure the bluebird manages to survive and escape, he will never be able to clear up his anxiety.
'Is he really that strong to take on warriors, the strongest elder, and the Acting Chief himself?'
He was doubtful. However, Azure was looking so confident than ever, it was hard to identify whether he can actually do it or not.
'Well, it is his problem.'
Sighing, Reece brushes his head as he sighs.
'Just curious, can't I use my divine power to see everything in this forest?'
It was said that fairies can see and hear everything that is happening in the forest they are overseeing. Nature itself is their main ability. What nature can see, hear, and reach, the fairies also can.
[Question. Do you want to faint?]
'Mn.'
Reece groaned at Daniel's question. Obviously, it is too much for him.
'I guess that won't work.'
Looking at the sleeping Hugh on a cave they found. It was the cave where the female pregnant bear that the Long Fangs have eaten has been surviving before the birds hunted her.
Reece goes back in as he takes a look around the cave.
They have only arrived about 30 minutes ago and the exhausted Hugh quickly falls asleep after drinking some water to a nearby swamp.
"Hmm? Something there is shinny."
Although it was dark inside the cave, there was something sticking out on the ground at the very corner of the cave that is shining on its own, without the sun.
Flying down, Reece stares at the thing that was there.
"This, a bracelet?"
It was a very huge bracelet with engraves.
"No. It looks more like an earring?"
The thing has a lead that can open and close. And it was similar to his grandmother's favorite's earrings.
Reece was not aware of the bear's real size as he cannot base it on the female bear he have seen a week ago. It was small compared to the male ones.

He touches the smooth silver bracelet or earring as he stares at the engraves on it. The ones on this were as detailed as the ones on the wooden sphere.
"Could it be, a magic induce device?"
[Indeed. It is.]
"It must have belonged to the female bear or someone who has been here."
However, something was odd. The way the bracelet was positioned, it was as if it was placed there with something in mind. It was far from the entrance, but once you go deeper into the cave, it is not that hard to spot it.
It could be a family heirloom of the bear. Or from her husband or something to let them know she has been here.
'Hmm… Should I bring it with me? Who cares?'
He was not stealing it. The bear just left it there and he happens to accidentally found it.
'And she is dead.'
The female bear is dead and is already the bird's shits by now. Even if they find this, they cannot bring back the dead's life.
'Even I can't get my life back.'
Reece clicked his tongue as he simply shrugs his shoulders.
'Okay, now. Let's not focus on this.'
He has a lot more to do than worry about the bear.
Reece puts the bracelet into his personal space as he stealthy lay on his back and the soft fur of the lion welcomed him.
'Show me what you've gotten.'
[Understood.]
The favor. His request to Daniel.
There are actually three and not only one.
First. To steal the trigger buttons. It was successfully fulfilled.
Second.
'Second, to steal all the birds' abilities.'
It was also successful.
Stealing all their abilities so that Reece can determine whether he can put them to use or not. Moreover, it will be a waste to just leave it behind only for other animals to take it. That is why he took it first.
'I'm sure there are going to be a few that will be useful.'
He was also planning to pass some onto Hugh and Azure.
[Report. It is ready.]
Closing his eyes, Reece's consciousness drifted to where Daniel is.
Adjusting for a bit, Daniel then began to show him the list of abilities that he has gotten from the birds.
"There are quite a lot."
The Long Fangs have a total of 47 members, including the children and elders. However, the number of abilities they have collected is quite the number.
"Ah, shit. That's a lot!"
A total of 62. There was a total of 62 abilities collected.
"Wow, this is good. Really good."
Reece can't help but smile widely as he could not contain his excitement. But his excitement quickly subsided after remembering something.

"Anyways, this is not important right now."
The most important right now is their safety. They have yet avoided the danger of the forest and the raging birds of the Bird Tribes.
"Daniel, the third request."
Reece's third request.
'Stalk Azure and record everything.'
"Let me see it live if they have not yet started."
[I understand.]
The dark endless space began to lighten on one side. There was a huge rectangular TV-like screen that began to reveal Azure, who has not yet taken any action. The bluebird said it takes 3 and a half hours to reach the trading location.
"This looks like a theatre."
With popcorn and a nice comfortable sofa, it would have been perfect.
Reece was floating though, so he does not need a chair.
[Are you really thinking about it now?]
Daniel was not respectful and monotonous than usual. This is the kind of tone he uses when he is irritated.
"Ahem."
After coughing once, Reece focuses his attention on the screen that is currently projecting live what is happening on Azure's side.
Azure, the bluebird on the video, was stealthily following the trade team on his original form. It has been two hours since they left, however, there is still an hour and a half left before they arrive at the location where they usually to trading.
The bluebird knows where it is, so even if he was a bit farther away from the team, he has not yet get lost.
Reece remembered something.
'I will take them on once we are 1 and a half away from our location.'
The bluebird could not yet ambush the team as there are still nearby tribes. It will be dangerous for him when there is a large number of animals that could pounce on them when they are busy fighting or weakened.
Unknown to Reece, the bluebird's mind was chaotic.
'Something is odd.'
Azure thought.
The location that the trade team was taking was very far from any tribe.
Usually, when it is a trade, they would choose the safest route. And the safest route was nearby any bird tribes.
However, this current team chooses to get as far as they could from any bird tribes. Now that is weird.
'Could it be?'
No, Azure was certain that the team has something up their sleeves. The reason why he chooses to be as far as he could so that he can quickly run away when he needed to retreat.
'I don't know what is happening, but I could not give up.'
Azure has to steal the 'good' from that bastard and sends the son of a bitch to hell.
That bastard and that son of a bitch. The Acting Chief Russell was 'that bastard' and the 'son of a bitch' is naturally Joan, the one who ordered for his mother's head, his mother's killer.
The bluebird picks up the pace.
Azure has to attack now as the team was very far from any tribes. Of course, as a cautious bird, he did not lower his guard even for a second.
He then turned back to his humanoid form.
Just as Azure was planning to attack, a sudden loud bang could be heard. It was from a bird who came flying onto the tree right next to Azure.
The bluebird was shocked before he quickly looks back at the already dead bird on his back. Its eyes were white and it has a huge hole in its stomach.
'Hold on... this bird?'
It was a familiar bird. With its orange-colored feathers and a sexier built…
"Elder Joan…?"
It was a whispering voice.
"What the hell!"
Reece unconsciously screamed as he jolted up from the sudden attack. It was so fast that he barely followed.
"Sorry."
The bluebird snake mutant immediately jumps away from the dead body as someone landed in front of the now-dead Joan.
'The Acting Chief!'
Azure was cautious as he stayed on his fighting stance. Though he has yet to transform to his original form as it will alarm the redbird and will also transform. It will lead them to a death match and Azure has to avoid that at cost.
He has to escape because there are two beings waiting for his return.
"He's really strong.'
The redbird was very strong. It was obvious because he is the Acting Chief for a reason.
'There are still lots of them.'
He could feel all the bird warriors that were part of the trade team.
Two of them landed in front of the Acting Chief while one was checking the Elder if it is still alive. There was no pulse.
The rest of the birds surround Azure and the Acting Chief.
"A, Acting Chief!?"
"Elder J, Joan is dead!"
On the other hand, the warriors were confused and scared.
Because the redbird, Acting Chief of Long Fangs, killed his trusted and strongest Elder.
"She was really annoying me, so I accidentally killed her. My bad."
The redbird was unfazed as he spoke. He then ignores everyone else as he looks towards Azure, who has his guard high and is observing the situation.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
