《Parrotise》5 - Is my son a psychopath?

Dr. Ratine, who went by Ratty and was the head of the local Association for Wetland Bird Watchers had retired from being an ornithologist 5 years ago and was enjoying his life now, taking notes on the local birds, traveling around in his RV and eating Toblerone chocolates.
It was the time of his life.
Until one day, all the stores which usually sold Toblerone ran out of stock.
He thought it was peculiar, but out of respect for his toblerone loving brethren he took the L.
But then one day turned into a week and then 2. So he tried ordering some online. But they were out of stock too. Then he curiously looked up on google: “Toblerone News”
15 minutes later he was surrounded by 3 helicopters and half the local police force. Agents with bombshields with MSRA written on their shields cautiously began approaching his RV unbeknownst to him.
Then suddenly, they barged in and within moments he was apprehended and brought face to face with a woman who was smiling gleefully and had a green parrot on her shoulder. Her name tag read: “Cap. Wayfinder”
“So we finally meet face to face, oh elusive savior Torra, or should I call you Dr. Ratine?”
Dr. Ratine was incredibly anxious, but also confused. He did not recognize the woman but she had clearly mistaken him for his son, Sora Ratine. She did say Sora right? He couldn’t really tell because of the helicopter noises. It seemed like his boy was in deep shit for something.
However Dr. Ratine found this to be strange. Sora was a very good kid and was not only well liked but excelled in academics and social life. Why was the government after his boy?
His parental instincts kicked in at that moment. And he decided that no matter what, he could not reveal the whereabouts of his son to this strange woman whose cheeks were mostly just really dark eyebags.

Agent Wayfinder sized up the old man in front of her. A professor who retired early to pursue his dreams for travel and exploration. The 55 year old man clearly looked more than able enough to have been Torra. And he was not only an ornithologist, but he also lived completely off the grid in southern Nevada. When she was initially looking for Torra, she had come across Dr. Ratine’s profile and was suspicious of him, but he really never seemed to do anything that could link him to Torra.
Except now.
The class 12s were right. For geniuses, their “quirks” as they call it, were addictions. If they hadn’t provided her with the crucial clue about Toblerones, she may never have found him before he unleashed a global catastrophe.
Perhaps she should find some way to express her thanks to the class 12s.
…
“What the hell is this? We help you find a class 12 and you give us a chocolate bar?” The old man in the central cell wastefully chucked the bar of Toblerone at Captain Wayfinder in anger.
She leaned slightly to her left, dodging it completely. Indeed, just one bar was too unfair for their contribution. Although they were in denial of Torra being a class 13 and insisted he be called a class 12, even then just a single bar of toblerone was too stingy. She’d slowly give them a whole warehouse, each! The agency had far too much for its members because of the recall.
She then glanced at the man sitting in the new cell that had been built to the right of Sally’s cell. He was quiet. Perhaps that was his way of coping with the situation.
She turned and left.
“I’m not done talking to you young lady!”
“God damn it Old Wayfinder, your daughter is a rude B****”

…
“So, Dr. Ratine, Young Wayfinder told us you were inventing something to save the world. Wanna elaborate?” Sally asked the newcomer.
Dr. Ratine looked at her for a second before glancing away. He had overheard some of their arguing last night, he had heard some… unbelievable things…
As it turned out, this was apparently a secret governmental agency and their acronym, MSRA, stood for Mass Scientist Roundup Agency! The people they apprehended were scientists that were all abnormal geniuses that were off their rockers by various degrees. They were divided up into classes which, from what he understood, went from 1-12.
The scientists locked up in class 1 were folks that had plans to introduce invasive species to try to balance the ecosystem without the approval of local peoples. Complete belligerents, but still nothing compared to the class 2s and totally incapable of holding a candle to the class 12s.
Old Wayfinder, who was apparently the father of the agent who was after his son and had brought him here, was behind bars for creating nanobots that he called “mana” and could create a nanobot organ inside a human being, wirelessly communicate with other mana in the air and allow a person to do real magic tricks like solidifying air and flying around or creating fire.
No one knew what the old man was in here for..
The woman, Sally, was here because she created an actual time machine. Except it could only move things to the future. So she went about zapping all the endangered species to a time she believed they would be better appreciated. But then, supposedly, she realized that the entire reason those species were endangered was because of humanity, so she reprogrammed her device and was going to teleport the entire human race to 10 billion years in the future when the earth ceases to exist.
Thankfully both of these insane lunatics had been stopped by the MSRA.
“I second Sally’s question. My daughter mentioned turning people into birds. How is that to solve any of our problems?” Old Wayfinder turned to look at Dr. Ratine from his meditation.
Dr. Ratine tried to stay calm and look like he was unfazed, he understood that the less he said, the more these people would tell him about what his son was doing. Given that each of these people were high functioning psychopaths and other than the old man who was a bit temperamental, the other two seemed super normal, he began to suspect if his son was like them too and was secretly a psychopath. Was his son really a psychopath? Had he been fooled all these years?
