《Parrotise》6 - I'm not Torra

After 2 weeks of my favorite chocolate, Toblerone, being unavailable at the local Target I was a bit surprised and simultaneously amused. Had Wayfinder noticed my quirk? I didn’t leave any evidence that she should be able to identify. It would take a trained eye that knew what to look for. Wayfinder was pretty smart but not that smart.
It was curious. As this world's savior, my imperfections are far beyond the notice of common men. I know that sounds quite arrogant, but it is sadly the truth. Statistically speaking, there shouldn’t be anyone at my level on Earth and maybe 3-4 somewhere close. We’re not just talking about intellect here, believe it or not I am a psychopath and my ability to perceive other people’s emotions and act normal is precisely why no one could find me.
Because of my curiosity, I decided to look into the toblerone disappearance. Not with the internet of course, that would be too normie for me. I simply activated my tobleradar. A reprogrammed satellite that one of the world governments had thought was destroyed. They allowed it to crash back into the earth’s atmosphere and made sure that it got wrecked.
The way I did it was by recovering the crash pieces of a satellite everyone thought crashed over the ocean and was irrecoverable. Then, I convinced them that one of their current satellites was going bust and they should crash it and replace it. Then I just hacked the satellite, reprogrammed it to stop signalling to their towers, simulated a satellite crash and gave them the pieces of their old satellite which they thought was irrecoverable.
One must not skimp out when building trackers for the ultimate creation of human ingenuity.
…
Dr. Ratine stared at Sally confused.
“Soooo… do you go by Dr. Ratine or Torra?” Sally had asked him.

She said, Torra. Not Sora. Who the hell was Torra? Wait, was his son innocent and he simply got mistaken for someone else?
Sally blinked, waiting for an answer. Dr. Ratine did his best to hide his thoughts.
At that moment, Captain Wayfinder walked in.
“I’m not Torra,” Dr Ratine said.
Captain Wayfinder narrowed her eyes. “Y’know, you’re gonna have to do a better job than this if you really want me to believe you aren’t Torra.” She then pointed a handheld projector at a wall and it displayed a video of a computer.
It was Captain Wayfinder’s computer and the screen was black with some green words on it. It read, “Dr. Ratine is not me. I, Torra, am still at large! I recommend you let Dr. Ratine goes so that he doesn’t waste any of the precious class 12 containment resources. I assure you he isn’t bright enough for a quarter of those security measures to be put in place”
Reading this Dr. Ratine almost wanted to cry. This Torra person was doing this on purpose right?
If Captain Wayfinder had any doubts that he wasn’t Torra before when her computer was hacked, those doubts had greatly diminished because of how suspicious it was that he claimed not to be Torra immediately after she got this message. She wasn’t stupid.
Dr. Ratine was slightly wrong. It wasn’t that her doubts of him being Torra were diminished. They were totally wiped out! The message only appeared after she typed “Dr. Ratine” into a search bar!
“I’m really not Torra. The only reason I remained silent was because I thought you thought that I was Sora Ratine. Sora is my son and I just wanted to protect him in case there was a misunderstanding!”
“Oh yeah, sure you its a misunderstanding…” Captain Wayfinder sarcastically rolled her eyes. “Just how stupid do you think I am?”

Unbeknownst to her, all four people in the class 12 prisons were thinking she was pretty stupid at that moment. They just didn’t say anything because, if Torra had hacked into her computer to leave her a message, then he had another weakness. Pride! He wanted to be recognized for his work and wouldn’t allow someone like Ratine to take his credit!
…
This thought process of theirs was a bit too self centered. Unlike those selfish class 12s, I am quite selfless. I am, after all, doing what I’m doing to save the world. Most importantly, I wasn’t messaging Captain Wayfinder to get her to release Dr. Ratine. I did it to distract her so I could sneak out some of my precious!
…
Captain Wayfinder decided to take a walk while her computer was being replaced. As she did, she unconsciously found herself in front of the warehouse where the Toblerone were kept. Walking inside, she grabbed a bar off of the nearest crate and expertly opened it up, broke off a piece and put it in her mouth. She savored it. She had begun to understand why Torra got addicted to this. Her moment of bliss made her completely unaware of the other entity in the warehouse. And so this entity just left as calmly as they came, except with a giant box of toblerone.
