《The Demon Child - Awakening》Chapter 25 - Assault

When the moon became the smallest thing in the sky, and midnight struck, Abatson and I began to walk towards Gener's castle. The two guards were supposed to enter at both gates, which we did, noticing that two guards with a golden hinge on their helmet were guarding the entrance.
Abatson and I knew that these were our seniors due to the crest, now knowing that we should be more careful from now on. They were class one ghouls most likely, but we were outnumbered three to one, but when we get it in, we won't have to worry anymore.
"Report!!" The left guard commanded.
"Soldier Ansay reporting, nothing unusual to report sir," I replied.
"Understood, please proceed to the dorms and await further instructions,"
"Yes, Sir!" Both Abatson and I yelled.
We got into the castle and walked towards our rooms at a walking pace since I knew where they were. After about five minutes we opened a door with the number one hundred and fifty-three. The room was empty and was filled to the brim with a scent of old sweat and rotten food, with only two beds and a mat in the room. Ignoring the smell, I rolled the carpet and placed it in the top right corner, before flicking through my book. I stopped on a page as usual and got out the knife which I forgot to un-summon.
I carved a large pentagram quickly, looking at the small hieroglyphs inside it. After another five minutes, the pentagram was complete. I promptly got out my blood pouch and began to pour it onto the pentagram. I looked down at the spilled blood to see that it was glowing a dim red. As the pentagram turned from a dark rose to a light cherry, I knew it was ready. I closed the pouch and was prepared to start the ritual.
I put my blood pouch back into the armour and brought out two flasks of blood. I threw the vials onto the ground, kneeled and started to chant.
"Awaken from your other side, for a part of you is calling, be reunited with yourself once again, to come back to this place and stand once before me, may you come by your own free will, and do whatever you want before me," I whispered.

The pentagram then glowed a blinding red which hurt my eyes. After the light faded, it revealed Lucyfer and Astaroth in a dazed state not long after Lucyfer recovered and barked at me.
"Took you long enough, report!" She yelled.
"We have infiltrated, and now it's time for phase two of our plan," I replied while getting up.
"Fair enough, let's get goi," *knock* *knock*
"Ansay and Sendrey, please come out of your quarters!" A guard outside suddenly yelled.
We covered up the pentagram with the carpet, then Astaroth and Lucyfer hid underneath the beds. I opened the door to see a giant demon with four golden hinges was standing outside. Abatson then came out of the room as well, standing before me.
"Guard Ansay and Guard Sendrey ready sir!," I yelled, saluting, Abatson followed.
"Good, now the meeting today there's a change of plans," The large guard said.
"What is that, sir!"
"You will be Guarding Gener directly, proceed to the main hall in two hours,"
Everyone was shocked, but it was great since we could get closer towards him.
"Understood sir, thank you sir!"
"Very well, I will hope to see you at the main hall,"
"YES, SIR!!" Abatson and I yelled.
The massive demon then stomped off somewhere; I went back inside to see that Astaroth and Lucyfer were surprised.
"Well done Dynestar, now Abatson split into two and take Dynestar's armour," Lucyfer commanded us.
We nodded, and I quickly got out of the armour. Abatson armours then started to spew out some sort of mud. After the mud stopped seeping out, it went into the empty suit of armour and reformed. Soon the armour started to move; I was shocked since this was the first time seeing Abatson splitting into two, although I have seen him reform before.
"Now, then fill us in," Lucyfer continued.
"Due to that new information, our plan will have to change, although the change will help us take down our target," I replied.
"Good, now Astaroth and I will search the premises, make sure not to be seen, Dynestar you will keep watch of Asmo and Amo,"
"I understand, but before you go, let me do this,"
I bit my finger and put a drop of blood on everyone's forehead, I then muttered: "May our thoughts intertwine for this night, the minds of far and near, may we talk in our minds, no matter wherever you find us."

The drops of blood on our heads began to boil and then disappear.
"What did you do?" Astaroth asked me.
'I did this,' I thought. 'It allows us to talk telepathically, and if you want to stop hearing other people just say, 'off', Understood?'
Everyone nodded.
"Now to turn it on, just say 'on'," I continued.
Everyone nodded again.
Lucyfer and Astaroth snuck out of the room, and I was left with Asmo and Amo. I was lucky that Lucyfer put me in that position since this is my first quest; it would've been harder for me to know what to do. For the next two hours, I tried many different spells to conceal my presence. After using the rest of the blood pouch, only Asmo and Amo could sense me, only because I allowed them to.
We started to head off towards the main hall, practising our way to get in as we stood at the entrance to the main room. I hid in Amo's shadow, effortlessly passing through the guards, I then snuck up onto the rooftop planks hiding in plain sight. I then activate my telepathy.
'Report, I have infiltrated the main room,' I thought.
'Well done Dynestar, I am at the main gate, and Astaroth is somewhere in the castle," Lucyfer then thought.
'I'm in the dungeons, it seems that this is where I'll start my assault,' Astaroth interrupted.
"Ok, I'll be watching the meeting, off,"
I turned off the telepathy and began to eavesdrop in the nobles conversations, trying to remember their faces as well. Nothing unusual came out while they were talking until one conversation struck my interest.
"Where's the man of the hour, you know Gener," One demon yelled out.
"That's true, he told us that he had something big was about to happen," Another one then yelled.
I looked at Asmo and Amo and noticed that their seat which they were guarding, was empty! I had no idea that he wasn't there, it's like I didn't even see his seat. It was like what I was doing to myself, making myself noticeable, as I looked at that chair many times, but don't remember anything about it.
"Well done, you've finally noticed!" A mysterious voice echoed throughout the room.
In a puff of smoke, a fat and stumpy man with half whitened hair and a visibly bald spot appeared in the empty seat, that man is who I expected to be Gener. He had at least three golden teeth which were visible and looked around sixty years of age.
"Thank you for waiting so very patiently, now then, time for the main event," Gener yelled across the room.
He then snapped his fingers, and smoke appeared in the middle of the round table where everyone was eating; it later was continued with an ear-splitting roar. I covered my ears and looked at what made it when the smoke subsided.
An unknown beast, which looked like a scaly grey wolf, was trapped in a cage. It was what I guessed two metres in height, and four metres in length. Its eyes were slits, and it had a tounged fork as well, the tail on the end was massive, green and scaly, like a snake.
"As you can see, we can now mass-produce chimeras," Gener said. "This one is a hybrid between a Dire Wolf and a Death Snake, this chimera is extremely deadly, and that's why we have it in a ca-"
The wolf then tore through the roof of the cage and jumped at me. I leapt back, but not fast enough, as my chest was scratched deeply by one of the wolves claws. The wolf's force broke through the brick walls of the castle; I was only able to say one thing before I fell.
"Now!" I yelled.
As I was falling, I used my tail on the castle walls to slow down my descent, breaking the bricks as I went down. I jumped onto a spire of the castle and made the rest of the way down. By the time I reached the bottom of the castle, the scratch was fully healed. I looked towards the chimera who was already there; the plan had finally moved onto its second stage.
