“Then let’s start some good old fashion grinding.”

After accepting the quest he received two scrolls. When he opened them he found out that they are maps to reach the hunting grounds.

Following the maps, he went out of the town towards the northern forest. While walking towards his destination he looked around to see many adventurers farming monsters in groups or solo. Though there are some wearing newbie clothings and equipments, most are wearing higher tier equipments.

After few minutes he reached to the edge of the forest and then entered the forest going deeper into it. Even in the forest there’s a high density of players fighting against the monsters. When he reached his destination, he saw a cave and a large number of goblins near the entrance of it. quiet a few people are hunting those goblins.

“They are probably doing the same quest as me. Oh well I should probably go inside the goblin den if I want to complete the quest.”

He went towards the entrance of the cave.

“Oi, girly…” he heard a shout behind him.

Just as he was about to enter the cave a hand clamped on to his shoulder. When he looked behind, he saw a panting man wearing a worrier outfit holding on to his shoulder.

“Oi, little girl you are a new here right? You are still wearing only the starting clothes. On the other hand you got an extra accessory like that mask. Where did you got that any way…”

“Mister……”

“Oh I forgot to introduce my self. I’m Wang Boling. Level 21 Knight.”

“So mister Wang would you please release your hand.”

“Oh sorry!”

“No problem, now why did you stop me suddenly? I’m in a hurry you know.”

“You are trying to enter that cave right?”

“Yes, so?”

“Are you trying to complete the goblin subjugation request?”

“yes, is there a problem with it?”

“Then you should wait until these goblins on the outside re spawn. Don’t go in there. It would be a shame to see such a pretty girl die you know. There’s a level 30 hobgoblin boss living in there. It’s even 2 stars. If you encounter it you would definitely die you know.”

“Aha, thanks for the warning but it’s not needed. First I’m just level 1 so there’s no death penalty. Next I’m wearing only beginner equipments and an extra equipments. So both will not drop even if I die. So I’ll be going then.”

He freed his shoulder and walked towards the cave entrance. Then he stopped and looked back and said,

“Oh one more thing, I’m a boy”

“.… Seriously?”

“Yep, behind this mask I have a very manly face if I say so myself.”

Lin Shen laughed and entered in to the cave.

After entering the cave Lin Shen saw one of the most iconic canon fodder in RPG games. Goblins are small, standing between 3 to 4 feet tall with a hunched posture. Their skin ranges from green through yellow and orange to various shades of red.

When those goblins noticed him, dozens of greedy little eyes locked on to him.

“Analyse” he said looking at one of the goblins.

Goblins started to shout “Chivik”, “Chavok” and charged at him.

He smiled and waved his hand sending an Ice barrage and activated the Lightning step investing just 1 MP per second. Then he charged towards the group of monsters attacking them bare handed. His every attack created arcs of lightning doing massive damage and vaporising several goblins at once. In a few seconds, entire group of goblins having over 30 goblins were killed.

“Hmm, I still haven't levelled up. From what I know, each goblin gives about 1 Exp right? There were 32 goblins though. What happened?”

“Let’s see..”

“Aha that useless free loader, I completely forgot about him. Well it can’t be helped. I just have to work harder for a while. It seams that I already completed one of the quests. Let’s just kill the boss and call it a day. After all I just completed that inheritance dungeon today.”

While he was walking deeper in to the cave, more and more goblins started to attack him. When he was walking while casually killing those goblins, he finally met the goblin boss.

The Hobgoblin was huge compared to other goblins with a height of about 6 feet tall. When it saw the little human walking towards him leisurely, it roared and slashed with its sword intending to cut him in half.

Lin Shen smiled behind his mask and activated Lightning step with 10 MP and then activated Over boost and instantly disappeared from the view. When he reappeared in the starting position 6 sparks appeared all over the Bosses body and it’s health dropped to zero. It looked dumbly at the human before him and burst into golden dust.

“Hmm, it seams I can somehow use my martial art techniques here. But using them without sensing natural laws is pretty damn hard. Whatever, let’s see the spoils.”

On the ground there’s a single katana lying where the boss died. He picked it up and analyse it.

“So it seams my class is a melee type. I was hoping to be an amazing wizard though.”

“It’s getting late, I should allocate my stat points and log out for today.”

“Let’s return to the town centre and log out.”

He walked out from the cave entrance and walked towards the town.

“Oi, girly… wait up…” a Knight came running towards him.

He was the guy he met previously before entering the den.

When he heard the knight still calling him a girl he let out a sigh. It was always the same. No one believes him at first, apart from his family that is. Though this time he was even wearing a mask. He don’t know why this guy mistake him for a girl.

After the knight catch up to him he asked,

“You came back? You have some good luck if you didn’t meet that boss.”

Lin Shen kept his silent without bothering to correct other persons mistake.

“Hey what do you think about joining my team? All of us have done our class ups. We already have 4 team mates. We just need another to fill our team.”

“No” He replied instantly.

“If you are interested why do… wait what did you said?”

“Sorry I’m not interested in joining any party for now. See you later!” and using Lightning step he flashed away.

“Whoa, fast!, Is that a skill? That girl should have already passed her first class advancement.”

Re appearing near town entrance he stopped his skill and walked towards the town centre to log off.

“I should complete those two quests tomorrow and take the rewards.”

“For now..”
