《Just a Simple Guy》11 - Taunt to get bodied

When the hand came Salim was ready for it. He was ready to be slapped but he was not ready to be thrown across the room by said slap. Having a red handprint on his face probably would not do well with the locals.
Either way, Salim got up and noticed how that attack sheared off half of his health. Yea… He was going to take the quiet route to survival from now on.
Walking back to a seething Vivyern Salim put his hands up over his head and surrendered.
Vivyern saw this a huffed shortly before turning around and stomping of while angrily saying “you are under my control until I decided otherwise, your room is on the left.”
Salim rolled his eyes putting up the last of the dishes that were strewn about. He decided he might as well go to his room and try to put stuff together in his head.
Looking at his stats and skills he noticed that a ton of his stats had leveled up since he last looked at all of them. Damage over Time by one, Disadvantage by two, and Cold Body from six which must have been from the time he used it at the fire.
Exiting the kitchen Salim walked over to the room that was supposedly his.
Opening the door Salim was met with what looked like a training room. How was this his room? Oh. Wait he saw the blanket and mat laid out in the corner. How nice of her…
Well, it was a training room Salim thought he might as well use it to level some skills.
Looking around the training room Salim realized this was similar to a martial arts training room he had gone into when he was seven. Jesus how many cultures was this spacially warped area taking in all at once? It was also odd how similar these things resembled Earth but he really shouldn’t think too hard into it. It could be a coincidence or not he wasn’t going to care.

The walls were covered with a plethora of weapons. From claymores to sickles the selection was quite wide and Salim was definitely interested.
The room was otherwise quite bare leaving a large amount of room for testing or he guesses training.
Training Claymore Lv. 5
Blades made for simple training purposes
10/10 Durability
+5 Damage
So they were for simple training now and aren't very effective? Not that it mattered to Salim he was still going to take something because he had jack shit at the moment but still they did seem rather weak to be used as actual weapons.
Salim wondered how damage calculated with strength and stuff to do actual damage to hp or was it just outer body damage with translated to hp?
Eh… Not that important when you have a bunch of cool blades to try out.
Grabbing the claymore that he observed the main thing Salim noticed how light it was. Well, to be fair it seemed to be made out of rough material simply banged into the shape of a sword with a handle grip attached to it. With his strength stat fortyfive, he would probably be able to wield everything in this room without issue unless it was made of some ridiculously heavy material.
Swinging the sword around it was as if he was throwing himself along with it. So he would push himself off the ground while throwing the sword into an overhead strike slamming back down on the ground with a loud bang. Salim wasn’t sure if that was the way it was supposed to be used but thats how he would damn well do it.
Putting the claymore up Salim tried out another weapon; a staff. Swinging it around with deadly speed and maybe not the most accuracy Salim cracked the staff against the wall causing a crack to form on the staff.

Not wanting to be caught Salim tried other weapons using them to his heart's content correctly or in other more unorthodox ways.
Salim didn’t know how long he messed around in the training room using all these cool weapons that he had only been able to see through the internet but damn he was tired.
Putting the last of the weapons he had used back up on their respective wall mount Salim walked over to his pad and blanket curling up in it like a cacoon and soon falling asleep.
Hopefully this time he wouldn’t be put in a dangerous position by sleep.
Opening his eyes Salim was met with a blade unnaturally close to his eyes. Like really really uncomfortably close.
Why did this have to happen every time? Salim cried out to the world but received no answers from the heavens.
It was Vivyern holding a seemingly pitch black blade to his face in an effort to wake him up. The blade seemed to be emitting a cold temperature which she was using to stir him.
Unluckily for her, this didn’t really bother him but he still was going to get up due to the blade to his face. Rolling away from the blade Salim got up off the ground and stared at her.
A dull seriousness had overtaken Vivyern’s face as she pointed her blade at Salim. “Fight me,” she said while retaining the dull look that chilled Salim much more than her sword. Salim who had no actual experience fighting looked around startled not really knowing what to do.
Thinking fast Salim yelled in her face screaming “OKAY” before sprinting off to the right of her trying to get past her.
Disadvantage, Run and Hide, and Damage over Time must have activated at that moment because Salim felt a large influx of power causing him to go a lot faster than he thought he could and trip.
Falling Salim saw Vivyern’s suprised face as she began to raise her sword to come down on his falling body. So thinking fast Salim tucked into a ball and rolled out of the way coming to a halt a couple of feet away.
Salim jumped up and ran to the other side of the now arena. He had never been able to react let alone think like that in the middle of a battle it must be his new stats. Salim felt his strength grow as he stood there facing off with Vivyern letting Damage over time do its thing.
Vivyern’s face turned savage. “I didn’t realize you where such the fighter.” Her voice was filled with a sort of lusting. She was getting off to this, wasn’t she… Well I mean it’s not really much a surprise from someone who throws you across the room when they get pissed at you.
And with a scream of gusto Vivyern hefted her black blade with ease and instantly moved over to the other side.
