《Dream mastery》sneaking out

Tommy experienced something close to death once. In this place he did not feel safe at all. He saw many injured people, he saw the collapsed walls; attesting the strength of these monsters. He saw the forest behind the gate, vast and mysterious.
Did the school have enough means to provide everyone? Tommy did not think so. It is not like someone ever tough that something like that will happen.
In the case that the supplies happened to miss, the first to suffer will be those who were injured and unable to fight. In his dream world, Tommy experienced how far people could to in situation like that.
At this moment he had a crippled arm and was thus one of the most vulnerable people in the school.
‘These monsters attacked as soon as our school appeared in this place.
They were acting like hunters thinking that we were they prey.
It is possible that it was just a small group of hunter and that we eliminated the danger for now.
But if they were just a part of a larger group and were just acting likes a scouting team.
It will mean that a greater danger is approaching and that now is the most opportune time to prepare’ Tommy was studying the situation.
It is not that he was smarter than the rest. In any case he did not think so. It was just that in any unexpected situation, it was difficult to see the bigger picture. One needed to be calm enough. Tommy had learned from experience after doing many mistakes.
“In this world we do not have fire arms; we can only use improvised cold weapons to defend ourselves. There is also this strange power from killing these monsters. I don’t have anyone able to use it in this place or I will have asked them.
Will I need go out by myself?”
Tommy knew that time was important. He started to wander in the school with his limp hand. He found a backpack and took it. He wanted to take water, but he could not. The distribution of water has been organized so that they will not suffer from a lack of water to soon. It was the same for the food. He only received a fruit and ate it. They had decided to eat all the perishable food for now. Tommy wanted a knife, but did not find it. In fact he found it but the people who had knives were holding on them too tightly. They felt safer this way. It was better than being empty ended. He did not have anything to exchange for it.

He found some piece of glass that no one seemed to want and a rope. He also changed his bloodied shirt for another. He also took his phone. Even though he could not call anyone, He could still use the flash light, and what not, play music. He kept almost every thing he saw but stopped when he felt that the weight could affect his mobility.
Tommy saw many people near the gates; they seemed to be contemplating over something. People toughs were often hard to understand. These gates could not protect them perfectly, but at least they felt safer behind them.
He decided to sneak out of school. He was still walking in the school yard when he was stopped by someone.
“You are sneaking out?”
It was a bi-spectacled young man with a white shirt and a black vest. He was carrying a metal bar in his hand.
“How do you know?” Tommy asked.
“You are walking suspiciously while carrying a bag on your back” the young man answered matter-of-factly without showing a change of expression.
Seeing that they he was the only person nearby, Tommy relaxed slightly.
“Yes! I am going out. Do you have anything against it?” Tommy asked while eying this person who looked like a student.
“No. but there is some teachers standing guard in many places. I’m also going to sneak out and I tough we could go together. I already found a way. Come! Follow me” the man said and started to walk.
He seemed familiar with the arrangement of the teachers. Tommy could even see them for afar. With his crippled arm it would have been difficult to sneak without going out if not for the other help.
Soon they were facing the fence. There man climbed and arrived on top.
“Do you need my help?” he asked.
Tommy did not answer and just gazed at his crippled hand. It was bandaged in white gauze. He needed to move it the least possible. He had planned to use a rope to climb. But now that someone wanted to ‘help’ him why should he refuse. Tommy seized the man hand and soon he was on top of the fences. After that they jumped on the other size.

At that moment, they felt different. It was completely new feeling behind this barrier. Tommy could feel something savage, something primordial from the world around him. His gaze was lost in the forest in front of him.
It was at that time that something fell from behind them. Tommy turned and saw someone he knew, it was Miss Violet. She looked aghast seeing that she had landed embarrassingly on her four limbs.
“What happened?” the other man asked before turning toward that direction. The memory of these monsters was still vivid in his memories.
Tommy did not answer him.
When Miss Violet recovered her bearing, she stood up looking furiously at the two men. Her face was burning red. It was difficult to know whether it was because of embarrassment or just because she was furious.
“What is wrong with you? Why did you sneak out?” she asked furiously while crying to adjust her voice.
“Do you think it is just a playground were you could go whenever you want?
Are you that obsessed with these strange powers, that you will endanger everyone inside this school?
What if you could attract even more danger?” Tommy almost though that she was going to cry.
He also saw the other young man, he looked embarrassed.
It seemed like it was after these power. Who would not want these powers if they were presented to him? What stopped many of those who saw their classmates getting stronger? It was they fear, after all they saw even more people die by the hand of the green monster. Even Tommy did not know if he was being courageous or reckless.
Seeing that Miss Violet had stopped talking Tommy did not answer immediately. He gazed at his arm while weighing his next words.
“I tough that, if I could obtain these powers, my arm will heal. I don’t want to lose it” even now he was feeling pain in his arm. The school did not have meant to remove all the broken bones and reattach everything. Tommy decided to act this fast while his arm was still numbed.
Hearing him, the English teacher started to calm herself and asked:
“What about those monsters. Do you think that it is like a game, where they will let you kill them?”
“And what should I do? Rest, without doing anything? I don’t even know if I these monsters will attack again, if I will live till tomorrow. I think that exploring the forest is the best thing I can do not only for myself but for every one too” Tommy answered.
The silent prevailed for a while. Tommy thought that she was going to flare up again. But after contemplating for a while she seemed to take a decision.
“We already sent out a team. There were students among them. If I did not go with them, it was because of my fear. Now that I think about it I am indeed laughable.
Since you are so resolute and that I cannot stop you, I will come with you in order to make sure that you don’t make things dangerous for the others” she finally decided.
Just like that, a man who liked to dream, a young man who wanted to obtain super power and a responsible teacher started their adventure in another world.
