《Kyrio's Monster House (Dropped)》Chapter - 3

Kyrios form disappeared from the cave corridor once he mumbled "Base Command", bringing his view far above his lair, where the background was all black made of black squares. The corridor and room themselves divided into squares of 1.5m X 1.5m in rock gray colored tiles and small gothic cross appeared on the right corner of his eyes, showing the directions, North, west, East and South.

The corridor was at the extreme south, made of twenty one squares, with 10.5m lenght (seven square tiles) and 4.5m width (three square tiles).

The room was in the middle of his view, connected to the north of the corridor, made of twenty five squares, forming a room of five by five.

On the left of his view, five icons appeared, a hammer for building rooms, an eraser to delete both rooms and items, a pencil to add themes or paint to both rooms and furniture.

The last two were a shop cart icon for shopping and a suitcase that served as a lair inventory.

"A basic editor for a game map!" Kyrios quickly moved his hands around without clicking anything and he found out that he could rotate his view and zoom with just his hands like using a touchscreen, he also tried to move the rooms around but he couldnt place them again at other areas as the moment he moved them they turned red as they were required to be connected to another room that eventualy had to lead to the exit.

Kyrios clicked on the build button and all the black tiles turned yellow, while the rooms turned red, so he guessed that red meant that something already occupied the space, the yellow was the space available and when he clicked to build on those tiles, they would turn green.

Not only that, on the top of his view, numbers appeared. [46/250]

"System, is that the max tiles I can have?"

Host currently is using 46 square tiles of the available 250. Normaly Host would have available only 100, but by reaching lvl 10 and 20, has earned 75 per cap, host will receive another 75 tiles once lvl 30 has been reached.

Kyrios nodded at the system's information before deciding how to build the lair.

'I think I will make the room already built sorta like an entrance hall or waiting room, so following that, I'll add two rooms to the north connected to it'

And so two new rooms were added, both 5 by 5, using another 50 tiles each. 'The first room will be for my minions, while the second one will be my room... Hm, do I even need a bed?' "Better add the bedroom anyways to complete the quest..."

'So what do I build now?' He thought while looking at the tile cap. [146/250]

He decided to add two new rooms of nine tiles, 3 by 3, to both sides of the minion's room. He thought of making them either a storage, kitcheen or perhaps a bathroom in the future. 'Maybe make them into training rooms?'

Kyrios glanced at the tile cap one last time [164/250] before leaving the build option and clicking the pencil item wich showed several options of colors, but no themes, so he instantly changed to the shop icon where he was bombarded by options.

"The gold theme costs 100 credits? System, do I need to buy the themes only one time?"

Themes only need to be bought one time and be used to whatever host wishes. But beware that host cannot mine tiles like the gold and silver themed ones.

"Oh, that would be too good to be true... What about items? I dont see any of them, not even a chair..."

Host can buy them from the command shop outside the base command or bring it from the outside world.

"So I gotta loot a bed? Dont I need one to make a bedroom for the quest?"

No, host only needs to click with his finger two times on a room to rename it.

For the quest, rename the desired room to either Bedroom or Master Bedroom. Keep in mind that there might be future rooms that require certain items to be built.

'Interesting, the bedroom doesnt require a bed, but there are others who do require items? I might have to do a few more tests in the future. A master bedroom without a bed hm...'

Kyrios thought as he bought two themes, an old dark brown wood theme for the floor and another one in old light brown for the walls and celling. These themes of a normal medieval house costed only 10 credits, others more modern were 50 credits while some made of stone were just 1 credit.

'I wonder what happens if I get windows... Will try to use them once I get some!'

Kyrios exited the base command and the instant changes where made. His lair looked way better, on his opinion, better a wooden house than an ugly cave.

"Now let's get some minions! Minion Creation Command!"

A large teal transparent light appeared in front of him with several options on the sides.

On the right was [Create New minion], [Saved Minion File], [Minionpédia Shop] while on the left the options where gray, so he assumed he needed to select a minion to use them. [Add][Paint]

He clicked the [Create New minion] and [Saved Minion File] but both had nothing, so he had to access the [Minionpédia Shop] first and a new window popped up on him.

'Minions are divided into ranks? The cheap ones are 1 star and the best ones are 5 stars?' "System, 3 to 5 star minions are locked? Is it because of my level?"

Correct, only minions below Host's level can be recruited.

'Too bad, wanted to get a succubus but they're 3 stars, let's check the 1 star minions.' "Wow, system are they realy minions? They look more like pets!" Kyrios was surprised at the options, the pages were filed with normal pets like cats, dogs and birds, even little turtles. "Mummy puppy, baby Anubis, peacefull spirit, spiderling? There's even snails and walking mushrooms! Wait Yokai too? Kappa and betobeto? Arent those guys reeealy friendly?"

1 Star Minions are the weakest of servants, but can still be usefull in someway and are cheap compared to others.

Hearing the system, Kyrios decided to check the 2 star minions. "Goblin, imp, gargoyle, skeleton, zombie, hound, acolyte, banshee, kobold... Orc and vampire? System arent these last two a bit too strong compared to others?"~

Normally 2 Star Minions range from level 5 to level 20.

"Oh, got it, so that's why lvl 5 goblins and imps are in the same page as lvl8 zombies and lvl15 orcs! But what about the other ones? System can you tell me how are minions classified in terms of stars?"

1 Star 1-5

2 Stars 5-20

3 Stars 21-40

4 Stars 40-??

5 Stars ??-??

"Do I need to reach higher level to see the missing ones?"

Correct

'Even with a boost I have to grind...' "I think I'll go with gargoyles, same price as Imps and goblins, 100 credits each, no food requirements and they recharge their mana when turned into stone." He mumbled while scratching his chin. "Hey system, now that I think of it, you didnt warn me that I got the reward from the first base mission?"

System evaluated that host preferences to only receive the information that he wishes.

So the 500 credits of Lair Basics - 1 has been rewarded and the Newbie Tutorial - Step 2 was also completed but didnt give any reward. Would host like to receive all notifications?

"No, the last thing I need is getting popups every 5 seconds. But is the tutorial over?"

No, step 3 will activate when host leaves the lair.

"Cool, now let's buy a gargoyle!"
