Book 1: Epilogue

“What the fuck? I didn’t know she was here?” –Solaria

“I did, I just wondered why she didn’t show herself…” –Maya

“How did you two know she was here but I didn’t?” –Solaria

“I could smell her.” –Lea

“And I could hear her, you supers really need to hone your senses better…” –Maya

“Or think every once in awhile. You know I have magic and created the rings and talismans that allow you to teleport to each other. Obviously I can teleport myself there at will.” –Ruby

“If that is the case, why didn’t you come find Nick earlier?” –Solaria

“I didn’t have permission to enter the Halls before and when you went on your date I thought it was fishy so I just watched before I made my move. I didn’t know Lea would beat me too it and put a huge delay on things. *HMPF*” –Ruby

“Okay that isn’t important right now. What do we do now? And when will we see Nick again… I already miss him.” –Solaria

“We go home and wait, and hope he or someone else stops the world from ending as I don’t even think going to a different planet will save us. Gather around, I can get us back quickly, and if my guess is correct Lea should already be added to the security.” –Ruby

MASS TELEPORT!

And with that the four girls went home to wait for Nick.

Nick being Nick spent the whole night trying to master the new device he just purchased for $5 million. Luck would have it, it was an Aura to Magic converter, only this one amplified the magic which had Nick really curious how it did this. Finally after many hours he realized that Aura and magic are two sides of the same coin and probably not any different than Qi or other such world energy as at the end of the day energy is energy and if you can store it in your body you can emit it as well in any way that you could imagine with enough training. Nick these thoughts to himself as he was more interested in the part that amplified the magic around the device just by inputting Aura. This device is many times more complicated than anything else he has ever seen.

Eventually the new day started and Nick made his way back to the same internet café as before.

‘Okay Yuki what did you find?’ –Nick

‘Over the last day I was able to compile every form of literature that had people who lived here and somehow became powerful quickly and made a list of possible ones that may have truth to them.’ –Yuki

‘Excellent work Yuki, hopefully one of these can help me cheat myself to power!’ –Nick

‘First up we have Death which could lead to reincarnating to a world where one can easily gain power. We have some individuals who gained power from a deity upon death and already started powerful in their new world as well as those who became champions of said deities and really gained power. We also have the whole get killed by the evil deity and being forced to do his bidding in a world but with the caveat of having high amounts of power and…’ –Yuki

‘Wait! Please rule out any method that requires me to die as that won’t solve anything!’ –Nick

‘Okay daddy, the second set are those who were in some type of summoning. This is broken up into types. Familiar summoning is very popular as sometimes the contract will give the one summoned much power. Usually however the person being summoned either has to be an abnormal or some type of beast or demon so most likely vampires and werewolves can be summoned this way. We also have the regular demon summoning that some with demon blood can answer and become full demons upon accepting. If said demon destroys the one who summoned them they get to run free and have all the power, or they can just steal the power and come back to the place they were summoned from…’ –Yuki

‘Wait wait wait. I’m not an abnormal, a demon, nor a werewolf or vampire! Is there any type of summoning that might fit me?’ –Nick

‘Yes. The most powerful summoning of all is the hero summoning. But of all the mentioned summoning this is the most rare and least likely to be reproduced. However regardless of the power of the one summoned, hero summons always give that person insane power and potential. Hero summons are known to remove any limits on the summoned being which according to our parameters sounds a lot like what we need.’ –Yuki

‘Yes, that actually does sound like it would work. If I became a hero and my limits were gone then all I would have to do is find a way to increase my Aura and bam, evolution would commence! But you said this is the least likely so… what does that mean?’ –Nick

‘Yes it is the least likely, the only other real option for you is to find a deity and either ask them for help or power or even knowledge on how to break through.’ –Yuki

‘Unfortunately we couldn’t find any deities anywhere on this planet for some reason. All of us looked too.’ –Sally

‘Okay before I go on a quest to find a deity or whatever, what makes the other methods seem plausible? You have some evidence of them working?’ –Nick

‘Well yes, people die all the time so the first ones all have a high probability of being real. And for the summoning well people disappear all the time so the first ones mentioned are most likely true to some extent as well. It’s the Hero summoning that is iffy. There are cases of people supposedly disappearing from class here in Japan which might be considered enough evidence of this occurring. I’ll send you all the stories if that will help, other than that it seems you are going to have to go on a space adventure as you already know there are aliens out there. Surely one of them has the knowledge that you seek. P.s. I hate you!’ –Yuki

‘Okay well thanks for the information. I’ll figure it out from here.’ –Nick

And with that Nick left the internet café and started walking aimlessly while he made a plan for the future.

It’s not like I have to do something now right? I mean I still have like 357 days or something, there’s no way one of the other geniuses won’t come up with a solution by then. Also the girls were helpful but how helpful? I need a cheat and all I got was some vague information on a hero summoning ritual and an intergalactic quest to find answers. Fortunately I know of one alien world, I could always create a an Aura controlled teleportation device that would take me to places I have already been or I could always *SHUDDERS* find Ruby… Screw it, I’ll let tomorrow Nick deal with this as today’s Nick is going to see Mt. Fuji and fly to the top and do nothing of importance today! –Nick

And though Nick did indeed waste his whole day flying around Mt. Fuji and doing nothing of import, he still was thinking clearly on the future. He realizes that his plans for world domination will at the very least have to wait until this current trial is faced and conquered. He also realizes that he will indeed do something about it since he has three wives that he loves regardless of how that love came about and he cannot afford to see them die when he had a chance to save them.

Many times throughout the day Nick just wanted to give up, run away, quit! He figures that if he ran far enough away and for long enough then he would survive, or at least not see whatever he was about to face coming.

The thought of losing all of his dreams was bad but still bearable as it wasn’t that defined him, but the thought of losing everything he has ever worked for or gained put a heavy pain on his heart. This pain lingered with him, like a haunting melody, until he recalled the faces of his three wives. Then, he recalled why he couldn’t let that happen. He knew that whatever pain and trouble he will go through over the next year will be worth it as he finally understood why he had to go on with his plans and protect them all. As the sake of his three wives, for the time being, was enough.

The second arc will be about Nick's pursuit of power so many things will be different in the story while many other things will stay the same. The poll is there to pick what people think Nick to do next.
