Book 2: Prologue: A New Beginning

After a full night of meditation upon the peak of Mt. Fuji, Nick finally had the resolve he needed to go through with a plan. But first he had to make sure he didn’t leave anything out.

‘Okay girls I’m already ready to put a plan in motion but I must ask. Did I leave anything out? I know I only asked Yuki for local information but did any of the rest of you find any possible solutions?’ –Nick

‘Yes, there is always the path of honor and cultivation! I found a few Qi Gong methods that looked promising.’ –Yasmine

‘Ugh, but I don’t know any martial arts, remember I was a glorified nerd before I became a super!’ –Nick

‘But you mastered many meditation techniques! It is basically the same thing! The honor of a warrior never falters in the face of danger, you must persevere!’ –Yasmine

‘Honor? What honor could the dead hold? If I fail this, we all die! I need cheats! Cultivation may be the best path but unless I find a way to shorten the process I will have to take your findings to advisement.’ –Nick

‘Not that I care or anything, but what method did you end up choosing?’ –Yuki

‘Well after much deliberation *COUGH* *COUGH* I have come to the conclusion that the best bet right now is to get hero summoned!’ –Nick

‘Great! I mean, whatever. Which one of my leads looks the most promising?’ –Yuki

‘Who cares! It won’t work anyways, we are all going to die within the year just like I have been saying all along!’ –Jade

As usual Nick and others ignore the emo girl and act like she isn’t part of the conversation while the rest listen on.

‘I found a school that had a disappearance around 15 years ago that may fit the bill, it even has an abandoned building that used to have classrooms as it appears there may be a conspiracy and the summoning must have happened many times there. Well at least enough times to cause the building to be abandoned without destroying it.’ –Nick

‘Excellent idea daddy, but what are you going to do once you get there?’ –Sally

‘I’ve already researched my new purchase which lets me see the difference or lack thereof between magic and Aura and have found a way to teleport using Aura! Well really it is teleportation while converting Aura to the magic that is known as teleportation as I don’t have Porter’s power to use just Aura. Now all I need to do is find the right signature and hopefully piggy back on a hero summon. (As if life is that easy)’ –Nick

It took the rest of the morning and even some of the early afternoon to finish a device that used just Aura that could cause teleportation and only about 30 minutes to make a device that could find magic residues where a summoning might have taken place before.

‘Finally! I have finished the two devices that should get me one step closer to easy cheat like power!’ –Nick

‘Yay! Daddy is the best!’ –Emily

‘Stay safe if it works. I will cover with the waifus and grandmother.’ –Sally

‘As if I could stop you. I know it was you who keeps giving them access to my room!’ –Nick

‘I only do what you want me to do before you can even ask or forget to ask.’ –Sally

‘Yes yes whatever, you were made to know best after all so I can’t really complain.’ –Nick

‘Exactly now shoo shoo, you got work to do and a planet to save!’ –Sally

Of course Nick really just wants more power, if he has more power he has a higher chance of taking over the world. And if he saves the world? Well who wouldn’t want to make him the Grand Emperor of Earth after that?

Meanwhile back at the Halls of Justice.

“What do you mean Nick will be MIA for the rest of the year?!?!?” –Solaria

‘Yes, he said not to worry and that he has a plan to save the world but will need all the time left to accomplish it. He also said under no circumstances are any of you to teleport to him as it won’t be safe and could ruin everything.’ –Sally

“Well I guess sticking around here will be boring, let’s go do something else Ruby, Nick won’t be able to run away once this is all over anyways.” –Scarlet Queen

“Alright, let’s go.” –Ruby

MASS TELEPORT!

And with that the two disappear via magic leaving the other four girls just standing around with nothing to do.

“Well this is boring, we should go terrorize something or at least go shopping…” –Lea

“Oh I know a great idea! Fufufufu, let’s get Barb to make Porter take us all around the world while we go partying the year away!” –Maya

“Fine! Let’s do that, I don’t wanna stick around here anyways. First Mr. Absolute goes into closed door training and now Nick does who knows what! Barb let’s go!” –Solaria

“I don’t even… fine whatever, let’s do this, it isn’t like Porter has any hobbies anyways, so he can be our Porter and carry all of our stuff. Good thing he is strong!” –Barb

“Fufufufu, someone has a crush on Porter it seems.” –Maya

“Shut up! *BLUSHES*” –Barb

With that the hall goes silent as the only one left there is Mr. Absolute and he doesn’t count since he has locked himself up in a room where he meditates like an old monk who found out how tall Mt. Tai is. If Nick saw this he would vomit blood as this method of training is way too boring and takes way too long!

Eventually as the sun starts to set, Nick finds himself in front of an old abandoned school building off in the mountains somewhere near Kyoto.

This is the place, and the magic reader device is showing some fluctuations, I just need to find the right classroom and study it to find out how to trigger the latent energies. –Nick

After 15 minutes of running around Nick finally finds the room with the highest amounts of magic fluctuations. This room has a barred door with a bunch of yellow tape saying the equivalent of keep out and danger except in Japanese characters, especially the ominous kanji ones which could mean ghosts ahead or other supernatural things.

Of course Nick has seen aliens, fight vampires and even werewolves so he isn’t scared of anything supernatural at this point. Busting down the door with a swift use of telekinesis Nick found himself in a dusty classroom with desks all where they should be and an old style chalk board. Once in the room his magic reader device spikes to the max and then stops as if to tell him he has arrived, kind of like an old school car GPS system, long before they made hovercrafts with repulsorlift technology. Of course Nick doesn’t know these things since he can just fly and teleport everywhere, but he has read reports and seen old movies on the subject.

Finally I have found the area where previous heroes have been summoned! Soon I will gain cheats and become the most powerful being ever! Well at least on Earth… fucking aliens. –Nick

With that Nick took out his Aura teleporting device and started to use it to read the magic signatures. It wasn’t until he was done with this that he realized the huge flaw on his plan. It isn’t like he can activate the summoning from his end… Thus even if he teleports using the same string of magic, he won’t gain any cheats!

It was at this moment that Nick remembered the device he just spent $5 million on. This device not only used his Aura to power up, but it would convert it to magic and even amplify the effect. Surely all he has to do is meet the requirements of the hero summoning and shove magic power into it!

Right as Nick was about to activate the device and shove magic into the room he heard footsteps walking into the room from behind.

“See this is the room I was telling you about. It is very ominous and gives a supernatural feel. For some reason I had to just come here tonight! Still not sure why you two followed me though.” –Random Japanese guy

Of course the guy was speaking Japanese at the time but Nick has long since learned to auto-translate stuff in his head to English since English is the best language ever! Nick not paying much attention to his heads turns around to see who was disturbing his ultimate plans of power. He sees the guy who was just talking and two girls who clearly look like they are part of his harem walk in. Confused by the situation Nick completes his Aura transfer and the device wakes up causing a bright light to enter the room and a large summoning circle appear on the ground.

Nick only knew it was a summoning circle because that was his plan all along, thus clearly that is what it is. But why are these three children here with him! Before the circle fully activates he takes a good look at his three companions. The guy is the typical Japanese kid with brown hair and eyes, standing at a modest 5”9’ on a small frame. He looks about 17ish and has a piercing stare of righteousness which is probably how he gained a harem at such a young age. The first harem member also looks about 17 with short round blue hair and red eyes. She stands at 5”7’ and is very skinny with a large B cup, definitely the cool beauty type. The last member shyly walks in the room with long black hair with bangs barely allowing one to see her light blue eyes. At 5”5’ she sports a large C cup that may even be a D cup but her outfit makes it too hard for Nick to decide. Of course time runs out and they are summoned finally!

Expect a delay on next chapter because of the dreaded status window! Sorry but it must happen, these things make chapters take longer to write! Also new world means new girls to be added to harem! Also expect the three kids to have very generic names and personalities due to the light novel genre. Sue me, too many characters already and many more to come, generic has to happen!
