10 years before the explosion - the palace

Robert Freben was waiting for a servant to bring his daughter back. He just have another successful meeting with the king and he was quite pleased with himself. This partnership with the crown has been mutually beneficial for both of them over the years, he provides money and they offer protection.

suddenly he found some extra weight on his leg and while looking down he found a little girl hugging him

"daddy daddy, i was playing with prince julian just now"(little girl)

"Yeah?how was it?"(Robert)

"It was really fun, he told me all about his family, how amazing they were and his plan to surpass even them, do you think he can do it?"(little girl)

"Who knows, everything is possible, nothing is absolute"(Robert)

9 years before the explosion - The palace

Again Robert was waiting for his daughter to arrive,but instead of her usual cheerfulness, he found her really depressed

" Are you ok? Why the long face?" (Robert)

"Julian is really depressed, not only did he found he has no talent for magic, compared to his brothers, he is a slow learner. Even his little sister surpassed him in the general studys today"(little girl)

"Yes,it's a pity, it seems that unlike the rest if his family, he is only average"(Robert)

" Do you think he can become a great king like he said he would?"(little girl)

"Like I always say,everything is possible"(Robert)

He may belive everything is possible,but he also knew that it wasn't likely that he would get the crown, no matter how hard he tried. But he wouldn't tell her that, a child should dream,no matter how unlikely it was

8 years before the explosion - The palace

Robert was in a meeting with the king when he suddenly heard an explosion and was ask by the guards to stay in the room with the king until they found out what was going on

10 minutes later they were ask to follow them,it seems their children were in an accident

Robert found the prince julian unconscious in bed while his little girl was crying beside him

" are you ok? What happen?"(Robert)

"Be bere -snif- preying with some cjemicals when sudenly and something went wrong and and"(little girl)

The girl started to cry again before she could finish the story

"Don't worry,let it all out, are you hurt?"(Robert)

"No, he cover me with his body before it exploded, you think he ok?"(little girl)

"I am sure he will"robert said while petting her head

6 years before the explosion - Roberts Mansion

" Father,I am worried, ever since that accident two years ago the prince change, instead of study and train in his free time like before, he is either reading some novel,lazing around or training some alchemy experiment that blow up on his face, why did he change so much?"(little girl)

"I am sure its just a face, maybe he is taking a break, been a prince is really stressful"(Robert)

Robert lied to his daughter,he could guess that the reason the prince change,the prince knew that he wold never be king,so he gave up.

4 years before the explosion - The palace

This meeting was a little different from the usual,but it was a success. He was afraid that since he wasn't noble born, it would be harder, but when he made the proposition, not only did the king and queen agreed but even the duke general and arch mage. It seems that the prince infamy was useful for something.

" Father,did you finish the meeting?"(little girl)

" Yes,it was a great success, congratulations Elena, you are engage to prince julian"(Robert)

"What?why did you do that? I don't want to be engaged to such disappointment"(Elena)

"Do you want me to cancel the engament?there is still time"(Robert)

"And make you lose face? Never, I will make sure to properly train that sloppy attitude of his"(Elena)

Robert really tought that she should be more honest with herself, she has only been talking about the prince since she was a little girl

2 years before the explosion - Roberts mansion

Robert was eating dinner with his family when he found his daughter taking her frustration with the meat

"Elena,what's wrong, are you afraid that the cow is still alive?"

He knew what was wrong,since it was always the same story but Robert liked to ask anyway

" I am not in the mood for jokes father"(Elena)

"I could tell by how you are treating your food,what's wrong?"

" no matter how hard I try, the prince never changes, he still tries to do his best in doing nothing all day"(Elena)

Robert actually was impressed with the prince and his daughter tenacity. No matter how hard she tried, the prince never give up in doing whatever he wanted,and no matter how many times she failed, her daughter never gave up. And no matter how angry she acted, he knew that she really care for the prince

1 hour after the explosion - Roberts mansion

As soon as Robert found out that the royal family was involved in an explosion and probably dead, he went to his house to check on her daughter. She was crying all over the bed but as soon as she saw him, she hug him and started crying all over his shirt(not like he care as long as it help her)

" He is dead, all we did was fight all day and now he is dead"(Lina)

"Come on, don't be like that, we dont know that he is dead"(Robert)

"but"(Elena)

"Excuse sir, madam i have good news"(guard)

"What!!!"(Robert/Elena)

"it seems prince julian was seen all over town with his face all blue, nobody knows why"(guard)

Robert was really glad for his daughter and the prince, at least until he saw her face, then he started praying for him
