《The war of the Gods》Artemis and Apollo(part 3)

The boy from the dancefloor now stood before him, so close that Apollo could reach out and touch him. Apollo wanted to caress his cheek the way he'd done with Hyacinthus but he knew that would come off as unwanted. He was also afraid of these feelings. Most of the time these feelings lead to disaster, death and loss. He'd kept his eyes from wandering for far too long. It was too painful to endure unrequited love or to lose love. He had too many enemies. Besides that, what if this was just another pretty babble that he could not gain affections for? He had a tendency to be attracted to anything pretty and as such he knew he fell in and out of love with the changing of a season. When Artemis pulled out his wallet and ordered more drinks, the boy shot a smirk at Apollo that made him want to bite that bottom lip of his. They were full and flushed with the heat he'd generated from dancing. The boy covered Artemis's view with his hand and mouthed 'I like her.' Apollo smirked and rolled his eyes making the boy laugh softly. It was like music. It was a happy, carefree laugh. There was little of that laugh going round.
"I'm Reece, Reece Turner. Also, your names are so cool. Like the Sun and Moon Gods right?" Artemis turned around with the drinks in hand and the wallet pinched between index and middle finger offering both items to her twin while she exchanged a look with Apollo then turned her eyes back to Reece. Apollo dropped his eyes to his drink and forced the smile to remain neutral.
"That's right." Apollo finally said. "And just like the stories, we are twins as well. Not many people pay attention to those stories."

"Oh. My friend is obsessed with all things geek." Reece waved his hand then lifted his glass. "Cheers."
Artemis and Apollo followed, clinking their glasses. "You mean Greek." Artemis corrected taking a sip of her drink.
There was a moment's pause where Reece looked between the two of them confused. "No...no. I mean Geek. He is an absolute nerd. He's into all sorts of geeky things like History and music and Science."
The twins looked at one another once more. There was a another word to add to their vocabulary then. Geek. "Well, Apollo is ... er into music. He's a music professor at the University of Washington and a famous violinist."
Reece's eyes widenened at Artemis's words. "No way. That's where Jamie goes to school. He's doing a degree in music history. You might be one of his professors."
Apollo's face fell upon hearing this. Despite being Gods, they were forced to follow the rules of human society, meaning Students and Professors were not to have relationships. He couldn't help but ask the question though and the light flicker of hope bubbled inside of him.
"And you, Reece? Where do you go to school?"
It was Reece's turn to look slightly disappointed and a shrugged rolled off his shoulders.
"I don't. I uh... teach Salsa to middle aged house wives and their husbands in a back alley dance studio." Reece answered dejectedly but it is exactly the answer Apollo wanted to hear. "But as soon as I make enough money, I'm going to NYC. I'm going to Julliard." Again Apollo had to hide his expression. Reece wasn't going to New York. Reece wasn't going anywhere but his bed. Reece would become his....
